I flipping LOVE YOU! For some reason when I plugged my cell in, the option to import wasn’t there. THIS video TOTALLY worked!
What if your new MacBook Air doesn’t have a thing to put the charger in?
Happy to help!
+Levi get a USB-C to Lightning cable, or an adapter.
Hello, great video but why import to desktop and not photos? Now I have them all on my desktop and would like to have them in the photos
Amazing presentation - Really easy to follow, clear and informative. Also, helpful to show the cables that are needed (other presentations are just chatting through, but not actually showing you anything). I am a visual learner, so this really was excellent for me. Thank you Daniel.

Daniel this is such a wonderful presentation! Very articulate, not too fast, and the visual of the phone settings was so helpful rather than just saying “setting”, (hit), scroll to”, hit, etc. I could actually follow the steps with only pausing once. Thanks so much. Now, unless this does it also, I need to help my sister transfer from her iphone to her PC!
Oh my goodness! Thank u- i have spent to much time trying to get around the cloud and had no idea 💡 about image capture🙏🤗👌.. downloading now- thank you again🤗
Tutorial starts at 1:40 ...thanks Daniel! Very Helpful.
Thank you for making me lose money! 😂
Thank you
@Daniel About Tech
Lol 😝
thank you
thank you.
I needed that thx. I was driving myself crazy trying to dl all my pix
I thought Daniel's video on downloading photographs was one of the clearest "how to" videos I've encountered to date. I am now a subscriber and wish Daniel continued success. Best, Sean
Daniel, this info saved the day for me bro; needed it for our band's EPK. Thank YOU!
Glad to help!
Thank you so much, I searched for hours and finally found a solution, thanks for making this so easy!
Thanks for the feedback, Rosa!
This was so helpful! I was frantic trying to get it to send files over Bluetooth but this was way easier!
Hello! This is so helpful, thank you. Do you know an easy process for importing pics that are not HEIC? I know I can convert them after, but would prefer to import as JPGs where possible to save the hassle later on.
What a great video, I have been searching all day on how to do this! Thank you!
Glad to help!
Any idea how to save edited iphone photos to comp without separate AAE file? Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this so easy! I have seen many much longer processes.
thank you so much!!!! So helpful couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to upload my videos, after many video turtorials, I found yours and it solved the problem.
This was so helpful!! I was so confused trying to figure it out myself. Thank you !
Glad to help!
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
@Leo Aguirre 3rd
Exactly what I was looking for. You Nailed the requirement right at the beginning and worked like a Charm. Thank you!
Where have you been all my life. I’ve been an iPhone guy for a few years now and I am just now finding out how to transfer manually . Thanks a bunch!!!! Also, the ability to delete all photos & videos on my device in one go is priceless!!!! Thanks again!
For once I was able to get this sorted out. Thanks so much for such a helpful video...
Happy to help!
THIS IS SO SO HELPFUL!!! I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!
How about stop been cheap azz and send him money 🙄
OMG I have been looking for this video for ages!!! Thank you so much!! I have tried so many things 🤣 But this is so so much easier to transfer my videos onto my mac 🙏🏽
Thank you for showing how to transfer pictures and videos with such an easy-to-understand demonstration!
Thank you this was soooooo helpful. Been wanting to do this for ages ... thank you! xx
Glad to help.
You are a life-saver sir!!! Thank you very much!! 🙏
Thanks! I had over 13k photos on my iPhone - now all transferred to my Mac! Super easy - thanks for the video man! ✨🙌🏽
thank you so much! this helped me a lot and the process is real easy! finally saved tons of my photos :)
Thanks man, this really helped me. :)
Great!
My man! Thanks again for the tips! :)
Happy I could help!
OMG Thank you! This is all I wanted and I spent so long reading articles that didn't help me at all. This video made it fast and easy for me to transfer my thousands of photos even with an oldie but goodie Macbook!
Thank you much! I tried so many time before I saw this video! So the fact that you go in the setting under photos is not working on automatic , only keep originals! So thanks for that small detail that was super helpful 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Daniel I always enjoy your TUTORIAL. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Ur the only helper here
Hi Dan. Thanks for the video. In the beginning of the video, you said it'll work with 'every' Mac. My Mac doesn't have a USB port, so it doesn't work without a convertor. So maybe, you can make a little adjustment in there. Just a little suggestion.
Thanks a lot and yeah, I am aware. But keep in mind that it does work with every Mac. If you don't have the accessory to connect them, it's just a matter of getting the right cable or adaptor. But it does work 😁
@Daniel About Tech how can I transfer it back from Mac to iPhone
I changed my phone , I just wanna backup all photos and videos only, but this seems like the only option as I can’t use iTunes to backup only photos and my iCloud memory space isn’t enough
this is the only video that actually helped me THANK U SO MUCH ♥
Happy to help!
Thank you for this video omg! Truly saved so much time and so many photos that I thought I was going to lose!
Amazing ... thanks a lot it is very helpful 🤗🤗
You’re welcome!
thank you for this, when i get my mac i need to transfer videos onto it for after effects but i didn’t know how to so i watched this and it helped a lot :)
Glad to help!
Did it work and can you tell me anything you’ve learned about your Mac because mines coming on 17th January
Thank you! I didn't even know "image capture" was on my Mac -- but there are a lot of things I don't know about my Mac. I just wanted to get photos out of the cloud, but I didn't want to lose the photos in the process. I moved them to a flash drive and now I hope I can figure out how to get them off the cloud. Your presentation was excellent, explanatory and moved at a pace that even this old man could follow.
Thank you ... this was so helpful. Way less convoluted than many other processes.
image capture is the hidden secret of Mac ,I also found it much much later .. thanks
Glad to help!
this saved my life omg thank you
Thank you Daniel
I have never watched a more helpful video in my entire life :)
Thanks, one of the most useful tutorials in a long time!
That’s the thing... I don’t have the cable slot in my Mac.. it’s MacBook Air 2020.. only 2 slots for charging that’s it
same litterly
You have to get the new charger, it comes with the iPhone 12, you can buy at any store
Same
then you need to buy a dongle on amazon... they're not that expensive
You need to get an adapter and then you can plug in your USB.
You saved me!
Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling to find the solution for years!!! And finally found it :)
Wow thank you so much, this is one of the best little tips I EVER watched
Thanks SO Much, Apple is so useless when it comes to important tips.
thank you, it saved my day^^
Thanks, Daniel. I didn't know what program to use until I watched your video!
THANK YOU!! First transfer from iphone to Mac and THIS was so helpful!
This is very useful♥️♥️
Thank you!
This is TOOOOO Good!!! I wish all video tutorials were as good as this, need to transfer pics, video to you Mac from iPHONE? YUP me too, DONE!!!!! Took like 4 minutes! Thanks Bro!
Haha glad to help!
the best easiest method out of the 5 others i've tried! thank you for simplifying my life!!
thank you so much!! i was stuggling so hard to import photos!! This was very helpful
2:37 I can’t fit my charger into the computer what do I do??
flip it upside down... JK. but if u didn't try that, I'm not kidding
If you have a newer mac for example you may have to buy a usbc to usb adapter, they're not very expensive and you can get them from amazon etc.
Thanks I’m working on an iMovie project. This helped me so much
Awesome!
Thank you Daniel. Just got a new iPhone and this was exactly what I needed.
love when the tech people out there help normies like me who are technologically challenged, great video super easy to follow! Thanks Daniel
Super glad to help!
I have hundreds of pics and when i plug my phone in, only two pics shows up, how do i get the rest of my photo album to pull up
Omkar Ramkishun I think you have to have them downloaded from iCloud
Thank you so flipping much. Pc and apple have gone to shit over the years and everything I knew (no longer useful) doesn’t work.
You’re welcome!
Great, helpful and clear video tutorial... was going crazy trying to do something so simple... get pics from my iPhone to my iMac and sick to death of complex work arounds that simple made Apple Richer...no surprise. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for ...
Quick Warning!!! don't skip or miss the step that keeps your iPhone original photos in place the "Delete on Move" default can really mess up your digital photo experience
man you saved so much of my time! Thanks so much for the great video
“For security... purposes”
lol
No scanner or scanner detected, nice
Awesome explanation
Had this objective completed on my first try!
i saw two three videos finaly ur video helped me brother thankyou so much
When I do this only 3 pictures show up but I have 2000 on my phone. Why is this happening?
Are your pictures in iCloud?
RFZ ya have a bunch of long video????!
Did I out smart you?
Its 2020 soon.
This saved my life, thank you! It kept on saying I had no pictures on my phone and I couldn't understand what the problem was. You're a lifesaver.
Where are u from? are you Brazilian or something by any chance?
Daniel, ps, I asked a question two hours ago! I sorted it out - it was on slo-mo and I worked out how to change it. Thanks so much!
after we transfer can i delete the photos in my phone or will it also be deleted from my mac
You can. It won’t delete from your Mac.
@@DanielAboutTech This video was SO helpful!! What do you click on to delete them from your phone after they're imported?
A message pops up for me, “The operation couldn’t b completed. Com.apple.imagecapturecore error 28.”
Idk what to do from there, I have a video over an hour that I have to transfer, is it just too long?
Google that error code, please.
I was going crazy for months because Image Capture kept crashing. Once I switched to "keep as original" in the photos app with HEIC format, everything worked perfectly. THANK YOU!
Thank You So Much! This worked very well. This is like the only way that works to import a large file to your computer.
for some reason image capture isnt finding my phone even though im using an apple cord and have my phone unlocked
diannedulay same here
Your photos are in the Cloud.
Hey. I had the same problem. It’s not that your photos are in iCloud. I switched my phone off and on again then it found.
I don’t have the same plug for the charger on the Mac 💻 there’s only 2 small ones my charger doesn’t for what can I do?
You’ll need an adapter.
Just use Airdrop, idk why y'all making it so difficult 🤦♂️
Offxcial Josh bruh u smart asf lmaooooo
You were a life saver when my back was against the wall and it was crunch time. Thank you.
Thank you so much!!! You've helped me not waste money or my time.
My Mac book pro does'nt have usb ports
You have to use a Lightning to USB-C cable to connect your iPhone.
Not working, iTunes opens and image capture not seeing a thing.
Unlock your iPhone (go to your home screen).
@@DanielAboutTech I have the same problem, image capture opens but my pictures don't show, the iPhone is unlock,
Thank you. I was struggling to download videos from my iPhone to the MacBook Pro. Appreciate you bro!
Damn, i've been searching for this how to video for like 10years!!! Lol... Where have you been?? At some point, I gave up transferring photos from my phone to mac because iphoto sucks ass and never worked right for me. Now i have the power to transfer photos. Thank you!!!
Haha that’s awesome! Glad to help
none of my pictures are showing up what do I do
Check this out:
How To Transfer iCloud Photos/Videos to ANY Computer! ruclips.net/video/kgGg6yYTKG8/видео.html
Lifesaver, amazes me how Apple won’t hint at how to do this and much rather you just buy more “cloud” space.. go figure
Yeah...
@@DanielAboutTech ur telling me thanks
I like Air Drop but this method works well, especially huge files, thanks for showing me a new trick, Subscribed
Thank you for sharing this information. It was so helpful! I remember a time (not that long ago) when I could upload photos from my iPod to my mac as soon as I would connect the iPod. It made things very simple. I appreciate you showing me the alternative route to uploading my photos. Thank again!!
Happy to help!
I don’t think the MacBook Pro has a usb
New ones don’t you have to get a USB-C cable or adaptor.
I can't see my photos when I connect my iphone :( anyone else have the same issue??
Ceyda Ersoy Yes shut down everything turn your phone completely off reboot connect to image capture try again.. Turn your phone on if it doesn’t won’t again do these steps all over it should work.
Thanks Daniel.. It was very easy process. Always I use to struggle to take backup.
It's been a hassle transferring photos from my iphone to my Mac in its original format until this video is found. Thank you !!!
"Any and all MacBooks" accept for the ones that don't have a port for your Iphone charger lmao
yeah I'm pissed lol
It works on any and all Mac computers. If your Mac has a USB-C port, you’ll need the specific cable. The method is the same.
the new macbook pro doesn’t have that anymore u have to buy a separate drive from apple then put ur charger in it and it will work
YOU CANT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE AN MACBOOK AIR !
Yes, you can. If your computer has USB-C ports, you have to get a cable that is Lightning on one end and USB-C on the other.
Well i did it so you can
The best video everrrrr !!!! Thanks Daaaaniel ! I been able to save the photos and freed up my phone ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Daniel - you've done a great thing here - it's so good to finally be able to sort out the photos on my iPhone. However, the one thing that isn't working for me is that the 'delete' option is not clickable in Image Capture. I've disabled iCloud sharing on my phone but it's still not possible to delete photos from Image Capture. Can you please help? Cheers
Not ANY Mac... my MacBook Pro doesn’t have USB ports
Yeah, but you can use a Type-C to Lightning cable and connect it the same way.
Daniel About Tech what is that cord?
What do you mean? 🤔
Daniel About Tech like you said a type-c to lighting I don’t know what that is
That’s the cable you use to connect a new MacBook (that has a USB Type-C port) to an iPhone (Lighting port).
thank you Brother! rest of the videos on youtube asks us to use a third party app, idiots they are!
Awesome!
I like the Yoda reference!
Thank you, this was really helpful.
Straight and clear to the point. Great Job!!!
