Lol my mom used to play this, Wrecking Crew & Ice Climber constantly back in the day. I stopped by her house a while back and looked in the drawer where she kept her NES and games and they were all still there. I asked her if she played them anymore and she doesn't so she gave them to me. I always thought they were fun to play but I preferred the action and rpg's. Still happy to have them in my collection.
I know you posted this 4 years ago but I don't really care about that. My mom played Dr. Mario endlessly when I was a kid so Fever and Chill are two of my favorite songs of all time. Whenever she was playing this game things were going well so they give me a feeling of general calm and nostalgia. Games are so important to me because they were always an indicator of quality of life. My parents only played their games when we were doing well so hearing a NES is an air conditioned house, it's all the parts of my childhood I remember fondly. My mom doesn't play real games much anymore but when she gets into Candy Crush I can't be mad because she cozies up into her spot and does the same light sigh I remember hearing in between the title screen music from Dr. Mario.
early 90s i had this, if i would've known years later the internet would be here, and people would charge a grip for it because of it's popularity, i would've held on to it.
My older cousins had this on NES back in the day, like when it first came out, lol. We'd go to their house for 4th of July (or to swim in their pool) and we'd go in the basement and play it. In 2001 I bought the n64 version but then later sold it to buy the original. I loved some of the music of the 2001 version. My aunt even loved this game, haha.
My aunt and I played this game when I was like 12. She and I was spending so much time playing this game. She then passed away back in the end of March 2020. 💔
Man I love this game and I love puzzles. I can beat a lot of people at this, but I wish more people would play it. I do play the 64 version as well. As a little story: I think this was my dad's first mistake; he handed me the NES controller to this game. :D
9:57 this song was always my motivation to not fail, I couldn't help but put too much imagination into game music when I was younger, I would picture the patient OD'ing because of too many pills, and the beep at the end meant the patient had died, why I was even thinking like that is a kid I have no idea.
Anybody else just sit at the Game Over screen before, and let the music play out for a good scare? Then just keep it there in silence after the music stops? ....just me? fine.
WarpWorld7 The track labeled as "Ending" here is the same as the one that plays whenever you clear Level 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. The only difference is that it's the loop that begins after the UFO (from the Level 20 clear screen) flies off.
Back in the Summer of 1995, I think July that year, I put my foot in my mom's ass on this game, beating her 27 straight games/9 straight matches before she bagged one on me. I thought then, and still do now, that that was hilarious as shit. XD
Game Boy soundtracks can be done with 8BS, as well as Master System, but that one won't be for a while, NES is my main focus for now. I slowly work with GB and SMS, so hopefully maybe next year you will see it.
oh tandy computer come from radio shack... tandy was a used apple / mac or windows... did tandy permit nintendo used from tandy system to nintendo game... is that true
It's hilariously ironic to me that the viruses on here are depicted as little annoying demon imps. Believe it or not all diseases are really demons....If the world knew that people wouldn't get so sick so often. They'd fast and pray alot... Anyways, this game does have lots of memorable tunes. Back then, I always used to think this played just like Tetris. Boy was I wrong lol!
Chill is one of the best songs on NES.
I'd extend that to all time! gets stuck in my head so often even though I haven't played dr. mario in years

This whole time I thought Mario was holding a clipboard and a pen... 20 years later I just noticed that it was a thermometer.
at least you noticed! I feel you bro.... looool
Holding it like he's about to stab someone with it too.
XD
Mandala Effect in action, folks! **cue X-Files theme**

Game over music is fucking terrifying.
Japaneses....
I agree, it was the first known scary game over screen I ever saw…either that or it was Zelda II's game over screen.
brito x I didn't have Zelda II until 1995. I was born in 1985, sucka.
HAHAHAHA DOSENT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
brito x Yea! :D

Best OST ever! Thanks for sharing 😍
I LOVE this game music, when I was a kid my dad used to end the game so I could sleep with the ending song n__n
Thank you
The echo makes it sound even better!
Great day to be a gamer. I miss those days. =D
I find it kind of hilarious that this has a longer soundtrack than most games.
10:01 I wish they'd have written more for that part, such a deep, sick groove.
Title Screeen + echo... Perfect.
gracias por estos recuerdos
Wiiguy, my question is WHY did I not hear of your awesomeness until now? I mean...just WOW
My aunt and I played this game when I was like 12. She and I was spending so much time playing this game. She then passed away back in the end of March 2020. 💔
Mario and Tetris had a baby and that was Dr. Mario... The rest was history😁
Man I love this game and I love puzzles. I can beat a lot of people at this, but I wish more people would play it. I do play the 64 version as well.
As a little story: I think this was my dad's first mistake; he handed me the NES controller to this game. :D
My mom and I used to have tournaments with this (and Tetris)

I admit, I always have been a Fever fan as a kid and I still am. However, only today I realize how awesome and underestimated Chill was :)
benshowsly as much as i love Fever, Chill was mine and my mom's favorite track in the game.
I love the Fever BGM too. I like it better than Chill :)
He is Dr. Mario and he is saving lives!
This was such a wonderful game!
Anybody else just sit at the Game Over screen before, and let the music play out for a good scare? Then just keep it there in silence after the music stops?
....just me? fine.
Lucky me, 10,000 views on the dot! Also, congrats on 10,000 views on Dr. Mario of all games.
I remember watching my GRANDMA play this when I was little she loved it, Dig-Dug and Pac-man.
Good job! Love this music... :)
There's ending music? There's an ending? On my best days, think I could only get to level 23.

Ех хубави времена, ех детски спомени. :) :) :)

My mom used to play the shit out of this game.
Ben - Definitive Dubs mine, too. She would ALWAYS try to beat level 20 on High...but as i got older, i whooped her ass in multiplayer.
and now Dr. Mario Wii has more music.
So when are you gonna do Dr. Luigi? :)
Nice, always loved the music to this game even though 15 sometin years later i still suck at it lol

I'm curious, would you be willing to do the GameBoy version of Dr. Mario as well?
Game Boy soundtracks can be done with 8BS, as well as Master System, but that one won't be for a while, NES is my main focus for now. I slowly work with GB and SMS, so hopefully maybe next year you will see it.
