Question when you play as one of the 3 Germans (not including SS chap for he nukes the world) for the Afrika colony’s If they win the war and your able to win your war and do a focus event is there a way to stop the collapse of the colony’s or no?

On hard mode it as good as impossible to win alone. So me and a friend booted up tno and got working. At funking speed 1 it was stressful as fuck. Constant enemy breakthroughs. But once amerika ( my friend) could send 10 divisons and I stabilised my frontal Cape Town and port Elizabeth we could launch operation carnavor and took the city and dome tiles surrounding it.
I can't believe I actually lost the South African War last night. I'm relatively new to HOI4 and only bought it just to play this mod. Does anyone have any tips on how to win?
It’s hard to win, especially without pissing off the public back home for the US. This is on purpose since it’s basically Vietnam but in the Savanna, but what you want to do is for you volunteer divisions, send a tank division for your first then a Airborne infantry helicopter division, then either armored or another helicopter division (you send more divisions through decisions with PP). Try to capitulate the Boers as quick as possible, knocking them out before focusing on the three Reich Komisariates is important. Also in your decisions you should use political power to commence operations such as “Operation Brushfire” or which ever one you need the attack boost on when fighting a certain Komisariate or the Boers. If you have DLC, air volunteers are very useful but if not it’s not necessary as I’ve done it without them. The South African AI is the equivalent of baby sitting a toddler on acid so keep and eye on them and make sure you protect their victory points if they’re being pushed hard. The name of the game is getting encirclement and slowly chipping away at their division count at until their frontline falls apart, then use the helo division to go on a African Safari from victory point to victory point to get them to capitulate as fast as possible. Also keep in mind that if the German Civil War is over before you can take out the Reichs Komisariates, Germany will most likely send its own volunteers which will be annoying so try to end the war ASAP. Also rush down the South African War mini focus tree so you get the OFN to help out. Also if you want better divisions as the war progresses or leading up to other wars you will encounter in a US game (won’t spoil in case you don’t know), research attack helos and attack helo companies to add to your division template. They give you and insane amount of extra soft attack without slowing down the divisions (which is why they’re perfect for armored or airborne divisions) so they’ll help as lot. Just make sure to use the mobility of Armor and Helos to your advantage and you can easily encircle twice as many divisions than you’re attacking with.
@@pixel6698 that’s fair, public opinion only really sucks when you’re setting up the mandates, especially on an LBJ play through going for full great society. Because that debuff for paralyzing protests is really painful
Ok, so The Boers revolt agains the English-lead government The ANC may or may not revolt, depending on focus tree decidions. The big deal is that the German Reichskommissariats decide to intervene on behalf of the Boers, and invade South Africa. However, the OFN intervenes

This is from The New Order: The Last Days of Europe (TNO), a total conversion mod for the WWII Strategy Game Hearts of Iron IV. TNO takes place in an alternate history where the Axis powers did better in WWII, not enough to take over the world, but enough that Germany and Japan replaced the Soviet Union as the US's principle Cold War rival. The South African War is a war that breaks out in the storyline, and is essentially the settings' equivalent of 'Nam.
Yk at first I was getting my ass kicked viciously as South Africa? I tried to evacuate a bunch of divisions but managed to get like 7 divisions encircled. Then the volunteers came and I utterly mopped the floor with the nazis
