That's why they aren't calm... It's really, really hard to be 11 points clear of your biggest threat after just 13 games. Generally the way it works is that teams go 3 points ahead and then they slowly extend it to 5 or so, and then every pundit goes crazy about how they are a whole 5 points clear on December 24th, and how it makes them almost unstoppable. To be so far ahead so early only ever happens when teams completely run away with the league. Before that game, no team who were 8 points ahead at this stage had ever failed to win the league. This thing of no one who's ever been in this position before has ever not gone on to win the league. How many times has it actually happened? I'll bet not many, and two of the ones that did will likely have been Chelsea and Man City, who let's face it, will at the time have been blessed with phenomenally expensive squads compared to the teams trying to chase them down.
Liverpool have been very fortuitous so far. I know they can only beat who is put in front of them, which they have, but they've managed to play Arsenal who were missing several key players and now City at their absolute worst in a decade. Even in the CL they played a very average Real Madrid. An ominous rub of the green so far.
Liverpool tend to be better at maintaining a lead than to be in a title race. If they were to go 12-15 points clear over the next month or 2, they probably will win the league. But right now, all it takes is a blip for the race to be on
If in the same position after the Man Utd game then you certainly can say they are massive favourites, But with the amount of games still left to play its still open for Arsenal, City (if they get back to previous form) and even Chelsea. if any of those teams wins all there games over Christmas then the gap certainly wont be 9 points, They have some tough games coming up, Newcastle Away, Everton Away, Spurs Away, West Ham Away and then Man Utd at home 5th Jan. be very surprised if there wasn't 1 or even 2 draws in those fixtures.
Every Liverpool fan I've came across on the common internet platforms are thinking the same; Caution and nothing's been decided. We need to focus on Newcastle Away and Everton Away. Why City fans keep making Rodri excuse, LFC had not one but 3 of their first team players out in Alisson/Konate/Jota…but they adjusted and playing a winger upfront in Diaz (only played once there before)!

Ridiculous hyperbole as usual
Slot will want to break record to win the PL in January. 😊😅
I believe the champions are declared once the 38th game has been played. Probably for the best considering four of the last five teams to occupy top spot around this point of the year didn't win the league 😂
Richards played with Salah?
Fiorentina
I mean, point wise we have not even got relegation-safty 40 points yet!! And people making us the champions now! Weird!
Arsenal aren’t done yet! Just got to hope they drop points to united
These football pundits should focus on other Epl issues, and not whether Lfc have won the epl already. I don't want anyone or anything to jinx the title for us, cause it is still a marathon race.
A few weeks back I said if Liverpool win City High possibility the title race is over ...but until
there's a double digit gap they can't get too carried away....
they are ABSOLUTELY FLYING away being Best team in Europe this moment
Let's see how much points they build upon during end of christmas between them and 2nd place before deciding the title ! 🎄
After Matchday 38 is when you can rest. Until then it’s game on.
It's December 🙄
Who makes these titles up 😂 . 75 points to play for
The league could easily change dont see the point of this discussion.....maybe try again in spring
66 points is what Liverpool need over the next 75 in order to win the league just the 22/25 wins
Impossible bottler liverpool will collect 66 points from 75 points in 25 games left 😂
Damn we're champions by November? I guess it doesn't matter if we stay top in May now Sky Sports have declared it. We're top of the league, it's great rn. But we're barely even half-way through the season. Perspective. It only takes two or three bad results to drag us right back in it
Who gonna beat you? City without Rodri record is WLLLLLDL and the win was home against Southampton. Other than that Arsenal - the biggest bottlers since Fanta. You got this easy peasy.
Typical scouser peanut for a brain.
