That's why they aren't calm... It's really, really hard to be 11 points clear of your biggest threat after just 13 games. Generally the way it works is that teams go 3 points ahead and then they slowly extend it to 5 or so, and then every pundit goes crazy about how they are a whole 5 points clear on December 24th, and how it makes them almost unstoppable. To be so far ahead so early only ever happens when teams completely run away with the league. Before that game, no team who were 8 points ahead at this stage had ever failed to win the league. Now they are 9 points clear of your third and fourth most likely threat, and 11 ahead of your most dangerous opponent. That is... rare. Truly rare.

VVD had already did this in 20/21 with the ACL injury, which imploded the team's defense.
Also, if Salah decided to stay for the next season with a new contract, 25/26 will be a tough one for Liverpool since he has 2 months off from Premier League due to the AFCON.

Micah now resorting to hoping for injuries to Salah, should remember was out for several months last year AFCON…why you think MC won so many leagues in row? This is where MC have been extremely fortunate, with very few major injuries to key players.
All these pundits are looking like fools now, majority backed MC and no one backed LFC!

Even Liverpool fans didn’t back themselves cos of how they fumbled hard last season. They must learn consistently. City are like an injured lion. If you added Rodri to the team that played Liverpool it’s be a different output. As for Liverpool keep heads high and don’t underestimate any team.

    • @asiam9788
      @asiam9788 Месяц назад +1

Why City fans keep making Rodri excuse, LFC had not one but 3 of their first team players out in Alisson/Konate/Jota…but they adjusted and playing a winger upfront in Diaz (only played once there before)!

At least it seems Liverpool fans are somewhat grounded and realistic. If it was Arsenal in this position, their fans would be deluded and making it all the more enjoyable when they bottle it which could still happen to Liverpool but with a bit more humility

@ there’s Liverpool comments here. No matter where I go, there could be sensible and reasonable fans as well as deluded and arrogant fans, I just think Arsenal fans have been so starved and on the cusp of a title in recent years that they’re getting ahead of themselves and deservedly getting checked on it way more than Liverpool fans.

You have to look at Arsenal the last 2 season.
They were great for 80% of the season.
Had just one dip in form of 4-6 games and was instantly caught by City.
Arsenal will hit top form, and can get 15/16 wins in the next 19.
    BuT
If we continue to do what we are doing for the next 19-20 games.
It will be tough to stop us

I think they gonna win it, arsenal and chelsea will be a contender but 1 thing is at least clear
City are out of the race, 11 pts and with their current form
They going to drop more points at least until january

there's a double digit gap they can't get too carried away....
they are ABSOLUTELY FLYING away being Best team in Europe this moment
Let's see how much points they build upon during end of christmas between them and 2nd place before deciding the title ! 🎄
