Great episode gents. You've provided a gentle reminder to youtube vloggers that it's not always about tearing around the bush against a background of epic music! I really love all the old machinery and hats off to the people who respect and restore it.
First time comment .. This is an interesting episode with you three enthusiasts .. having a genuine curiosity in mechanics or anything is healthy ! Separates you from the masses on YT Safe travels .. PS A 1970 caddilac has similar flex to a 79 series ( 80 all the way 😉 )
Nearly gave the episode a miss. But so glad i didnt. That Rolls Royce engine was amazing probably the best engine I’ve seen. And your mate Daz boiler setup and the work he has done is the highest of levels of workmanship, Outstanding. And the photos of you guys as kids there was the icing on the cake. Well done Arvos.
Iv been 4 times. 100% worth the trip for anyone interested in steam or anything old! The amount of Giant Traction Engines Driving Around is Jaw Dropping... also the sounds you hear before you even get in the gate gets you excited.. I'm the kind of person that would here something loud start up from the other side of the event and I would RUN over to see it... also its great that's its not like any American event were there to lazy to walk around so everyone drives around is a golf buggy.
Well done !!! What an episode! We get out there in our swags and air conditioned 4WD's so called doing it tough, but this episode was so cool to try and get your head around what those before us endured ... their ingenuity, common sense for safety and just a "we will get this done attitude".... total hats off for these people for keeping this stuff alive ... we owe those long gone for the great country we live in... thanks for bringing this to the rest of us, the respect you showed the people there and a great idea the microphone handles !!!
Cheers fellas that was awesome, will definatly have to take the little fella up there when he's a bit older. . That steam powered shed, far out that was amazing 👍👍👍
Thanks again for another great video. Gotta say this is one of my favourite videos! The skill and talent of those people that own and maintain the historic gear is awesome. You guys clearly enjoyed yourselves. Thanks a lot for making this video.
Brilliant vid 👍👍👍 All this old steam powered steel certainly provokes some food for thought as in its day these machines would have been cutting edge for the time.
Gday, that was bloody awesome, I’ve heard heaps about lake gold stream but unfortunately never got there, it’s fantastic to see the history being saved and still in use, thanks for another top episode, cheers
