Wish I could see them live, just once, and meet them.. They are so different from all the music "pop" and rock world and scene, they always were a pure thing of music. And they maintained this purity through all the years, which is astounding, and I wonder how they were able to do it in this greedy world. Art's smile is as enchanting as his singing 💗 And I mean, being introduced by Paul Newman.. :))
felt that, garfunkle recently in an interview talked about it calling for simon and asking if they could just meet up one more time to quote the song old friends "could you imagine us years from today sharing a park bench quietly, how terribly strange to be 70". I need it to happen before its too late ;-;
I love both of you guys but Art is the singer. We saw him last year in Nashville and he was great that cold winter night in January. Thank you Paul for the songs and Art for the voice!
John Healey... Yes, you are right, Paul is unfortunately very quick to dismiss Art's part in making them what they are today. It is very sad, for Art's angelic voice gave Paul's songs wings to fly... Bitterness is like drinking poison, and hopes your enemy dies! I love them both equally. I couldn't choose one above the other. God bless them they have given us so much musically.
When Aaron Neville started singing his verse, Simon should've stood back & let a vocalist that was Art's equal take over. Aaron is a stunning vocalist just like Art😍😍😍
He has no stage presence or the vocal ability, that's why never got the attention that he craved. When Aaron Neville sang his verse he should've stood back & let a vocalist that was Art's equal take over
Something was off. The sound mixing? Paul didn’t look happy to be there; and those goofy gyrations of his...What was that about? This was a S & G concert. What did they need Aaron Neville for? Okay, so they were in the Big Easy. What am I missing here?
They do best with two voices and a guitar. As a duo their tempos sometimes tend to ebb and flow...which means they go out of sync with the band. Almost like they're connected on the same wavelength but it doesn't quite go to the rest of the guys!
I just feel something is off, Artie is just enjoying himself, Paul is uptight, not his normal self..don't get me wrong. I love both of them but something is just off..
I know geniuses are different from ‘the average Joe’. Paul Simon always wants to be clear about how he and Art don’t speak, split up be cause of yada, yada, yada… But in interviews he says,”Artie and I…” with a kind tone. Art is never anything but appreciative and affectionate about Paul. Paul knew Art was the voice. They’ve known each other since they were kids. Paul speaks of Art’s Bar Mitzvah, “the voice of an angel”. He never planned to partner with anyone else. I love the songs, that’s all Paul. And I thank him. They are the songs of my generation, But when I listen to them I cherish each note Art sings. He’s the voice. Paul seemed jealous. But he wrote BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER just for Art to have as a solo. Then he said,”I stand in the wings and hope to hear somebody yell ‘Author! Author!’” Like I said, geniuses are different, they’re complicated.
@@cards0486 not just geniuses are complicated, also love and music are:)) actually not exactly complicated, they are more "complex" and full of subtleties, dissonancec, nuances, contradictions and contrasts. As life itself :))
This is my all time favourite version of this song and a big reason for that is Aaron's singing; I'm not sure you realise this but this whole event was in aid of New Orleans, which is where Aaron was born. I'm infinitely proud also to say I've met the great man. I have no words for how wonderful I find this. Quite sublime. 😊
I agree with you. I was falling asleep and closed my eyes to listen to this legendary song. When the weir sound arose, I thought Art’s voice was broken at that moment. I couldn’t believe my ears and felt pity for Art. And when I reviewed it again, I realized it was not because of Art but someone I never knew. It really ruined the song, especially for such a classic piece.
Every time i watch this video it embarrasses me to watch Paul squat down to play his guitar. He trying to look cool but he looks stupid. Hang in there Artie. You are the best.
How I love listening to these two amazing men ! I'm 73 years old and never get tired of watching their videos, I love their songs !

When those two get together and perform their perfect harmonies, the Heavens open and sing along! This is legendary like no other!
J'adore Paul Simon, auteur-compositeur-interprète de génie, pour moi le MEILLEUR .... Graceland une pure merveille.
Wonderful ❤🎉
Simply Beautiful..... Simon & Garfunkel
I will die happy if I know these two made up and are friends. Their music is life changing for me.

god bless you guys....I know paul is quick to try and forget the days of S&G but I think it's some of his best stuff....

that´s why we love Art G. so much... very humble... chill- regardless how other´s wants to impress
You can see how much Paul wants to get the audiences attention, something he always craved to have, but never had it during the 60s.
I don‘t agree 😉
He has no stage presence or the vocal ability, that's why never got the attention that he craved.

! ❤
Nobody sings that song but Artie!!!! Cmon now!!
leave Art alone please let him sing his song, he is the only one who can sing this song no one else.
Well said.
So true Vinny. It’s his song & everyone keeps trying to compete - no contest!! Artie is the star - let us enjoy enjoy his magic!!
exactement ce que je pense
Yes.. SIR ART only can sing the song so beautifull. Love it..
yes thats true. The truw essence of the song was not felt in this concert.. Art is better than the rest... No one can sing this song better than ART..
Two of the greatest. Try singing BOTW aged 21 let alone 64! Incredible.
この美しさを共有してくれありかとう
Not the best live performance, but I still love it
great
I think it was great!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Garfunkel is Bridge over troubled water
Paul’s voice was also great.

Paul is always a drama queen.
Qui est le Mr qui chante avec Simon et Garfunkel. Je ne le connais pas.
Merci d'avance

Love s&g expecialy Artie
I love Art more

'How to fuck up a classic' by Aaron Neville
Yes he did it right.
Couldnt agree more!!k!
Does Artie have to clap when Paul comes out? Is that in his contract ?
Paul looked ridiculous gyrating around & squatting with his guitar during Mrs Robinson. Must be hard for Art to deal with that. 😫
I just feel something is off, Artie is just enjoying himself, Paul is uptight, not his normal self..don't get me wrong. I love both of them but something is just off..

Whaouh Aaron Neville!!!!
What is the problem Paul? Got an itch?
Really???? Why are you critiquing Paul Simon? Two very talented musical artists, who I happen to appreciate.
Just wish Paul would stop schooching down wth the guitar, looks ridiculous, otherwise brill
Paul is saying "hey look at me".
Not for nothing but....Aaron Neville ruined the song!
Totally surely did.

TOTALLY DISAGREE ❗❗

Paul looks so ridiculous when he squats & tries to be cool banging on his guitar!!
I thought Aaron was great! ... and I'm a white privileged Male!
No he wasn't i dunno why he's even up there or who the hell he is
❤❤❤
