the only tutorial that goes to basic without chains, effects and bla bla bla after a minute or 2, professionals they call them selves.. I appreciate you took your time to just show how to make your own drum rack . so annoying with people with little experience think they can teach others and then the wham wham goes, nothing learned nothing new. This is a video I like. once you follow it you will learn how to use your own samples. simple. that's all I needed. Not in need for fancy extras. Thank you. I can learn those once I handle the basics

I have once question- You saved the drum rack as an ALS file (session or set) at the same time you mention to save it as ALC as it is better but nowhere in this video it's mentioned how to. Am I confused totally? otherwise. I got you idea and its exactly how I want to use my samples., kicks, percs hihats claps all in separate channel-

Would you recommend starting out like this? Can I still easily get my midi tracks to the song view?

Break it out first like you did.. or break it out later.. I don't see any huge advantage. Its about the same amount of work. Breaking it out later might be better if you're playing them in real time and have access to all the sounds on one Drum Rack.
