What about how to make the GPS speed signal control the reverse lockout on a T56. Say like make the solenoid turn off below 30 MPH? Awesome videos, thanks!!!
By doing it this way, I no longer have to add a wire and pin to the back side of the dash and tie into the ecu? This eliminates having to do any additional wiring? For example the terminator has a plug for the oil pressure sensor, so I no longer have to add a wire from the dash and tie it in the ecu wiring ?
Great vid, Ryan! I have an Autometer #5291 Mechanical to Electronic Speedometer 16 pulse adapter and would like to use it to import MPH/DS Speed into my Dominator and possible use it or an output to drive my Autometer Speedometer. Thanks
I’d really like to see a video on how the pro dash and the input/output module works with/together on the Terminator X. Covering what inputs and outputs work and don’t work and why. I was told i can’t use the pro dash or the module to run my trans brake and bump button up. Thanks
You technically can put them on a cam module but your reaction times will have additional delay due to having to send the signal over CAN before it can react to your input

I have my trans temp and pressure going into my prodash. Can you do a video on how I can make my electric fans come on based on trans temp? Looking for a safety if my trans starts getting hot and my coolant temp isn't high enough to command then on to 100 percent (they are pwm). Also could you run a trans brake input through the dash? And anyway to make the virtual switches off by default?
You could run a trans brake switch thru the Pro dash technically speaking but I wouldn't recommend it since the delay from when you let go of the button until it is processed by the ECU would be increased quite a bit vs wiring it to the ECU directly. If you want to email your tune I can look at setting up what you are asking but I just don't feel that videos on very specific IO settings are that great. I would rather keep my videos a little more generalized. I'm not sure on the virtual switches so I will need to look at that.
How do you log onto the 3.5 screen? I tried to log on my laptop 50 times and only get like 3 data points per second, which is no help. So I tried the the 3.5 screen. Tried 6 or 7 screens and on probably 10 ecus. If I try to do automatic start and it so slow my test is over before it starts. So, I tried to manually start and it say it can't create file or something. Found it would create file if I start it before motor is running, and this got me the most yet, but shut of at 38% tps when I am slamming to WOT. So I tried automatic start, rpm above 500 and stab the gas once log is running. Shuts log off before 30% tps. Tried 1% tps and held it until it started log and stab it, still shuts off before 30% tps. Loaded up firmwares even though its the same, nope. Only thing I have not tried that I can think off is V2 and will soon as they are shipping with V2 now.
@@highperformanceconsulting7616 No clue why V1 never worked, but V2 did work well so hope that is all history. Also, the software has recovered from powering off the ecu a couple times so less time killing it in Task Manager.
The BEST no BS Holley technical videos on the web!
Thank you!
Thanks for this video it answered the exact question I had about whether dash input were "visible" to term x ecu and in data logs!
I’m happy it was helpful
Flex fuel set up for the next video please. I really like how you explain stuff. Thanks
I can do that
What is the delay when say using a virtual switch on the pro dash and an output from the I/O CAN module. Is it a full second….more/less????

Can the switch be a +12V input to the pro dash when using CAN????
I know this video is a bit old but has there been an update that allows you to do this with the digital dash 7"?

I’d love to see a traction control setup using the accelerometer vs rear wheel speed (4l80e/4l60e).
That’s an interesting thought. I like it.
I thought I read somewhere that an ABS wheel speed sensor is also used with traction control....
Can the 3.5" tslcd do this in some way?
If I could have a pair of virtual switches it would simplify things a LOT
No the 3.5”doesn’t have any I/O on it to be able to do this.

@@highperformanceconsulting7616 terminator x only
I’ve never had issues logging to the 3.5 with terminator x. I only use the start logging button though. I’ve not used the triggered start
