- We're starting school in a few days, and I didn't have a place to put all the kids' school books! I tried different approaches at first, but decided on the billy bookcase with oxberg glass doors for a more finished look. I love how it turned out!!! and all their books fit! Stay tuned for a home school tour coming soon!!
Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

I want to add doors to mine but I'm doing it bookcase white and birch doors. the doors are more expensive that the bookcase itself. 😅

Same question. I was going to ask how is it now aftet 3 years? Been seeing reviews of it sagging in the middle and cant afford that to happen. 😢

A better option is the ikea one that is not so wide, because all the bending is related to a lot of books and no central atachment/strong? point in such a wide shelf

Question: Does the door close pretty tightly against the shelf? I’m in the process of building mine and some of my shoes (Bc I’m
Making it a shoe shelf with the doors) are touching the edge of the shelf, and I’m wondering if that will cause the door to not close. Thanks in advance for your response! Great video!
I'd say it closes pretty good with no gaping. You can also add stick on magnetic strip to both sides to make it even tighter :)

the door hinges are fully adjustable. I have assembled mine which consists of 3 bookshelves with optional glass shelves in under 2 hours. A battery drill with screwdriver tip speed things up a lot.

everything but the actual screws that go into the wall itself, I believe

Yes, I always secure to the wall! I have little kids and wont ever take the risk of it falling on them.

Question! I need a tall slider book shelf like this one cause the space I am in is small but, I have some really tall books that currently won’t fit in my current book shelf because it’s just like an inch too short. Would these be good for taller books?

Hi there! First of all, AWESOME video! Wish to check whether the accessories that you use to secure the bookcase to the wall, comes with the bookcase? or we need to purchase it separately?
Last time I bought this, it did come with the accessories. Except a few screws that you need for the wall, everything else was included.
