Nice! I couldn’t believe the difference when I went to the 3R-93 tune. You’re right, totally different animal. For clutching, it’s a little pricey, but it’s hard to beat KWI. Kris is awesome, super responsive, and clearly knows his stuff.
Pops so if I call them and tell them everything I have like tires, weight and tune they will know what I need or somewhat and I’ll have to play with it.
SXS Marine You’ll have a call with Kris Werth (hence, “KWI”), you’ll give him your info, send him your clutches, he’ll send them back totally done, with the correct weights, he’ll align them better than stock, etc., you bolt them in, install your belt, and then go rip!

I know this is a couple years old but what model X3 are you running and what year? The reason I ask it there is a big difference in horsepower stock depending on what you have which a tune would make a huge difference. For example all 2017 model were 154 HP. 2018 base model was 120 and the turbo R was 172. Newer ones like the 2021, The base X3 DS Turbo puts out a respectable 120 hp, and the DS Turbo R ups that to 172 hp. The X3 X DS Turbo RR has a bigger turbo and beefier pistons and puts out 195 hp. I have a 2018 XDS turbo R that stock puts out 172hp. I changed the pressure on my waste gate to 8 instread of 6 and it now runs right at 16 psi of boost VS 14. Based on everything I've read that should be around 192-195HP. it is a beast and will smoke the 32" SuperATV Warrior tires I'm running like crazy... So much fun.👍 Awesome video by the way.
With the tune in my turbo R giving it more fuel with the tune and maxing out the injectors, I am set at 18 pounds of boost at around 205. To go anymore than that the cost to horsepower difference is just ridiculous and that 205 pounds it’s all I need and all anybody should need.
FISHING WITH FINESSE yes you can get 175hp with just a inner cooler and tune for about 1300.00 or find a used inner cooler and a 500.00 tune. For even more power 192hp you need a fuel pump for 300.00 more. After that bigger injectors and wastegate 600.00 more that will get you to about 215hp or 220 on e85. So 2100.00 to get all the way to 220hp.
Awesome. Honestly that's not to bad. Curious about labor though because it all has to be done by cam am certified tech I think in order for warranty to be valid still.
FISHING WITH FINESSE they will not Warranty the x3 after you tune it. It’s just like a car if you change a corvettes or any cars computer it voids the warranty. Most x3 only have A six month warranty. I had a year because I had a buddy that sold me a new one as a demo. After that you have to buy the warranty. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself. You are looking at 50-80 dollars a hr. Shouldn’t take more then 2 hrs. It’s very easy and you could do it yourself I think.
FISHING WITH FINESSE if you only take it to 172 hp like in a stock xds they might let you go on it but you will have to ask but probably not. They will just want to sell you a new one

No I never did but want to. It runs really good even with 32” tires. It’s just really hard to pull the trigger on the clutch but I know it needs it.

Yea I paid for a 5 yr warranty along with the loan. I'll have to talk with the dealer. Good to know about the tune though
