Dave should record on studio a solo version of this song. This guitar line is astounding.
My favorite DMB song, what a masterpiece.
Same. It's so beautiful.
“so…there’s a good chance that you gonna see me fuck something up” one of the realest around. Killing it Dave.
As strange as the weekend was, it still ended up having some incredible moments and this was absolutely one of the best moments of the weekend. I love the passion he has for playing this.
This had to have been strange for sure . Did most fans have their camps set up before hearing word about the changes to the set? I’m from the Chicagoland area and aspire to make it to the Gorge. Have you seen them at other venues? Would you say that the Gorge is worth the trip out west?
@@kimberlycresap9852 there was a ton of camping, maybe even 1/3 or more of attendees! Far more than I expected to see. That was my first time at the gorge, I definitely think it's worth it. I have also been to deer creek, Chicago, spac, Dallas, Houston, Cincinnati, Vegas, Tahoe, Sacramento, new Orleans, and probably somewhere I'm forgetting to see them - so from my experience, I'd say if you're a die hard, you should!
Well done for an incredibly difficult song to play and sing. I'm very surprised that he attempted this solo. Only Dave could pull this off.
The song takes on a whole different vibe solo--Love it!
We got a solo version on our last streamed live too 😁 it’s saved
The song is about being alone, I think.
I want to like this … but if I don’t, you stay at #41 likes… get it, seems reasonable now right?
I’m a casual guitar player and can play this song and sing it (with a terrible voice though). It shouldn’t be surprising that he played it… he wrote the song … lol.
It’s so incredible how you can see his guitar is made to exactly to his specks and his fret board and neck are perfect and neck is really short, to accompany Dave’s long arms cause he plays so much.
One of my favorite tunes. Have never heard it solo. Really enjoyed getting to hear a lot more of the guitar that gets drowned out at points in the song
He's never done it before!
No one has! 😝
The sound of the guitar is amazing. It really sounds like a whole band.
I've watched this at least 100x and it nearly brings me to tears every time. With how this weekend went down and for Dave to come out and do this solo was amazing. For him to start, make a mistake, crack a joke and flash a huge smile with EVERYONE cheering him on shows how much love there is in the DMB family.
Thank you for this! I love that Dave has never been afraid to laugh at himself, lol. This beautiful song is perfection! ♡♡♡
So grateful this man still makes music. This is amazing performance. I listened to an acoustic version of this song on XM radio and was amazed that it was only one person playing the guitar.
Dave: "there’s a good chance that you gonna see me fuck something up..."
Then proceeds to play the song perfectly.
I love this! He should do it solo more often
Fantastic. Top 3 all time fav DMB songs.
That was exact support that I need in my birthday today. Excellent timing. Thanks again Chester.
Perfectly imperfect.
Awesome job Jason!
What an amazing weekend. Truly the best of what's around.
This is my 2nd fav DMB song of all time as an almost 30 year fan. Pulling this off solo under these conditions is remarkable and a blessing.
What’s your 1st favorite? My #1 is this one
Warehouse has always been my number 1 since 1994.
Amazing, he is so god damn talented. Chills on this one. Thx jay
The COVID shows. Some unique moments came out that weekend. Buddy got to show off. I remember hearing this and cracking up when he restarted. Stefan and Carter were greatly missed, but thankful for this.
And just think, if things hadn’t happened the way they did at The Gorge (not to diminish the severity of the situation), this solo version might never have existed 😌
What a beast
This is special.
Wow what a special moment this was! Thanks Chester for letting me relive this!
Magic
Another great video from ChesterCopperpot.
NEVER DISAPPOINTED, as always!
Thanks for the vid.
Magical 💓
He's such a good guitar player.
marvellous acoustic performance-so cool see this at times
He's brilliant!
Thank you!!!
Thanks sir ❤️
One of my fav songs...what a version. 👏😀
Also..just read the story behind the way the weekend panned out. Stay safe everyone.
Thankyou DMB!
Hi from Aus!
I just noticed that Dave hammers from the 2nd to 3rd fret on the open B during the pre-chorus. Davetabs has always said to hammer the open B from 0 to 2nd fret. It sounds so much better, but dang - that's a hard transition after so many years! hehe
High quality video and audio. Thanks
thanks for uploading this chester
Chills!
So fckn good!!!!
God mode
Muito som
❤️
I'll upload all my Gorge videos if you need any more footage!
Pretty damn tasty, cheers!
"tasty tasty" Carter in the warehouse sessions
Dave
Really love this song ... to be fair to him though, it sounds like the guitar went a little out of tune between the time he was warming up with it and on stage.
Is this the first time Dave soloed this song?
Yes as far as I know
never live on stage, but he did perform it earlier this year from home on SiriusXM Live from Home: By Request
Only a small wording mess up. He just can't help it with this song.
Well done, overall. Never thought i'd hear it solo.
Haha! The look on his face when he did.
@@littlefriend420 He did say he would ;)
@@adamazzalino5247 Lol, he did. But he was SO close to 100% accuracy.
Only Dave solo live YNK and the guitar is out of tune!!
