    Firstly I'd like to say, recreational drugs can be good and bad, a lot of it depends on the person. Sometimes it's just not for you. I've smoked weed off and on for about 4 years starting at 15 y/o (was definitely psychologically addicted) and have done shrooms only once (tripped hard but haven't noticed it impacting me mentally). I've had many bad and good experiences with weed which has shaped me into who I am now. I've become a lot more socially aware and self aware. I've come to understand myself and others much more. There are certainly some negatives tho. I've noticed my motivation and dopamine levels have decreased but I'm pretty sure it goes away after quitting weed for a few months (usually a lot easier to quit than other drugs). In the periods where I smoked everyday for a couple months, my mind was pretty foggy and I just sat on my ass not doing much at all. I notice the sharpness my brain has is gone when I start smoking weed again.
    I quit weed just recently so I can focus on my Computer Science degree as it inhibits my motivation and learning ability. As I get older weed has become much more of an obstacle compared to when I was in high school now that I have responsibilities. I think realising when you should stop (moderation) is important with recreational drugs. Even though some people view weed and psychedelics as completely harmless if you're unlucky or just don't moderate, it can be dangerous. For example, my friend did a lot of high dosage shroom trips and with the combination of doing MDMA months later, and weed, all played a role in his psychosis that developed over several months (that's what he suspected anyway). He thought he could do anything during his psychotic episode. He messaged me on Discord saying how he was smarter than Einstein and Elon Musk and could get both of us a Lamborghini. Luckily, he was taken to a psych ward by police and was able to successfully recover and is now majoring in cybersecurity where he met his girlfriend (he mentioned that if he was older the psychosis may have not gone away completely, he had psychosis at 18). He's forced to quit drugs since he is at a much higher risk of getting psychosis again (honestly this is a good thing for him). If you are being pressured to do any drugs don't listen to them just do what you think is best for you (I recommend researching before doing it is best. If you are going to do it stay educated about it). Sorry for this long ass paragraph, if you've read all of this, thank you for your time! Remember to moderate when using drugs, you're not invincible! There will be consequences!
    TL;DR Recreational drugs isn't for everyone, I've smoked weed for 4 years on and off. It's changed me as a person for the better but have noticed some bad side effects such as lack of dopamine, motivation and wasting a lot of time being high. Had to quit weed as I now have responsibilities. Be careful with recreational drugs because even just with weed you can get psychosis (which includes schizophrenia). When doing any drugs make sure you do some research about it you should never feel pressured to do it.
    P.S. This is mainly just my experience with recreational drugs.

      Same rationale was used for alcohol, yet look how much damage alcohol is doing as a substance. It's mainstream because it's deemed legal & accepted by society.
      Like being addicted to drugs is not a prison itself? Or that in prison people are being forced into drugs or that's where a lot of them start. Drugs are the ultimate chains for the human mind & body, they're used by human traffickers to force young girls to be sex slaves.
      I am not ok with people suffering such things, making it legal means that society accepts & deems such drugs as ok.

    • @fatcat2015
      @fatcat2015 2 года назад +4

      @@decode3667 the problem with things like alcohol is that the Prohibition Era happened, it taught America that alcohol when outlawed is significantly more dangerous to society than when legal. Ultimately American drinking habits significantly lessened because of the movement after it was all said and done, but that’s because people didn’t actually need prohibition to be convinced to drink less, it was a cultural change. As much as I hate the pothead mentality and would love to see weed go away forever, an argument could be made that making it legal so the government can regulate it would actually lessen the issues it’s causing currently. It would also create a pretty lucrative industry that the government could make a snot load of tax money off of.

    "Drugs ruin potential"? Dr. Hunter S. Thompson? Pink Floyd? Jimi Hendrix? A few good examples off the top of my head there, no no no drugs don't ruin potential life ruins potential. You can tell most of these people (in the video) had little struggles did a little sniffy sniff or sippy sip and suddenly they understand every aspect of life and how drugs can affect it. The one thing when it comes to this topic I always say is. People are allowed to do whatever the FUCK they want to themselves as long as the consequences only backlash on themselves. Take ANYTHING you want, do WHATEVER the fuck you want but if you even consider the possibility that could harm those around you either stop or move. A lot of people don't care about this delusional "potential" they keep getting told they have because that don't change the fact they still have to work 40-80hrs a week for a life they possibly would do ANYTHING to get out of and I'm pretty sure I can think of 1 worse solution of escaping your problems other than drugs. I hate the invasion of privacy people have on others, drugs don't need to be discussed. They need to be looked at as any other vice in this world, a humane substance that many use for different results and whatever the results are are none of your damn business

    The truth is most people who hate drugs hate it because of fear of addiction or dying from it. The people who get addicted or die usually don't know what's in their drugs and or don't have the proper education prior to taking the drug. Making all drugs legal will lead to forced education and forced proscribed amounts if your interested in the drug.
