I used to weigh 305lbs and now weigh 168lbs. These people are 100% lying to themselves. I had given up and thought I’d be fat forever and one day realized I didn’t just give up on losing weight but I’d given up on myself. I hope they take some responsibility for themselves and realize that their health when they get older will be important before it’s too late. A heart attack doesn’t care if you love yourself the way you are.
Very nice congrats ! Seeing many people over the years and many college fotos and 10 years after, most people will stay overweight all their life And this while looking in the mirror and wishing they would be skinnier every day. It's just the fact that being less weight, moving around is SO much easier. I know because I gained +15kg over the lockdown now.

Somewhere around 10:00 When the question was “do skinny people get privileges” someone in chat said they live longer I almost spit of my drink from laughing
The girl who says she can’t be bothered to work out 8 hours a day. Lmao. Nobody does that. Educate yourself love. Plenty of excellent workouts can be done in 10-20 minutes which aid in getting healthier and stop gorging yourself to an early grave.
It's hard to get that myth out of people's head. It's been implanted by these dumbass PT's that you have to nearly pass out while doing cardio. Those "stair climbing" machines that they have at the gym are probably the best machines at burning calories ( as long as you don't support yourself on them ). Climbing just for 30min a day can really change your life.
Literally people think they're doomed to be fat because they have a slower metabolism. Like wtf? Everyone can change their body how they want. Some might have it easier some harder. That's literally life tho. People are dumb af. Some just need to cut out all their random ass snacks throughout the day and actually get basic nutrition knowledge.
its impossible you need support systems like people that are positive they need to only have healthy foods promoted essentially they have to find some way to cope with their reality in contrast with the social reality no offense but you got people like Greek who gets skinny and realizes social andys scammed the f*ck out of him and now he realizes the point of being skinnier isn't a better lifestyle. You still can't be sure of women, you still can't be sure of success, you have less than what you had with no substitute. Either God has to come down and favor yo ass or its impossible gg l2p I guess
@@crowmaster9652 The society stuff is a cheap excuse. It should primarily be about the person wanting to be healthy/feel better/extend their lifespan/etc. Losing weight mainly for expected societal gain is a pretty bad idea/destructive.
@@crowmaster9652 I keep seeing your dumbass comments and you seem to believe that the only way a person can go from fat to skinny is by the grace of god, and that when people are fat it is due to them being genetically unlucky. That is so fucking stupid. First, no one (without some form of a disease, the 1% of the 1%), is predisposed to being obese. Maybe slightly overweight, but not obese. It is unnatural to be obese so ofc the body is not predisposed to it. Having a slower metabolism means that gaining weight is easier and losing weight is harder but it doesn’t mean that you will become fat. People need to be more conscious about their dieting choices as well as their exercise choices. Second, there is an unfortunate subset of the population with eating disorders, who actually do have an a excuse to be fat. The best thing we can do is support these people, try to treat their disorder, and bring them back to a healthy body. Third, being obese does not mean that you should hate your body, or that you are any less human. However, that is not an excuse to love your body the way it is, love your body for being yours, and make it better by treating it well. Fourth, stop the blame game, anyone can lose weight, though for some it will be harder, for some it will be easier but such is life, and you have to push through. If you refuse to put in the work, then you should not be bitching about anything related to this subject. Have a nice day everyone, no hate intended in this message of mine :)
I had a serious back injury, which led to a relationship break up, major depression and 30kg weight gain.. I spent 18 months in bed barely able to walk and just eating junk food to feel good. These people are in so much denial, they’re just lazy at the end of the day and I was also in denial whilst I was overweight too. I’m now back down to a healthy weight and I’ve never felt better, I feel sick looking back at what I ate every single day.
It's crazy looking back once you drop the weight. Like wtf was I eating... so much sugary and fried garbage, high calorie snacks, etc. It fucks up your palate for sure. All that salt, sugar and fat.
You shouldn’t be dehumanized for it, but in no way should you be celebrated Edit: I’m currently losing weight, was at 290 but now I’m down to 240, still got ways to go but I’m getting there.
you definitely shouldn't be celebrated, if anything you should expect ridicule and for there to be no social restructuring to accommodate your fatness, if you're too fat to sit in a single seat then buy more than 1

I hate when people have a really misinformed amount of knowledge on how to lose weight they think that just going to the gym will make them lose weight, when it wont, if your eating too many calories you need to lower it and make your daily diet in a caloric deficit. Not only that but they expect to see major results in a couple of months losing weight is a very long process shit doesn't just happen overnight, I hope someone reads this who is misinformed and uses this info to their benefit.
I mean I literally changed eating 3500 calories a day at 100kg to less than 2k a day and dropped to 80kg in 6 months without any gym, obviously anecdotal but it really wasnt that hard at all tbh

The reason you don't see obese people dancing on stage for celebrities shows and stuff is because their lifestyle is dancing. Dancing is exercise and makes you healthier and lose weight. Wow revolutionary statement there right? If a fat person decided their lifestyle was going to become dancing or any form of exercise for a living, I guarantee they would lose that weight. Its crazy to say that dancers get to do that stuff ONLY because they are attractive. Like no, that's part of it sure, but they are attractive because they dance not the other way around. the whole point of the fat acceptance movement is to not fat shame people (which doesn't cause people to lose weight), but to point out areas which fat people are discriminated against and to not make obese people feel like their terrible human beings for being obese.

1:00 " 'Fat' has been a derogatory thing..." Yeah, and why do you think that is?... Cause it's unattractive. 80% of people or more don't want to be or be with someone that is obese. Even obese people would rather have a partner of a healthy weight the overwhelming majority of the time. "I wanna take that back and make it a positive thing." How?... 🤨 Fat people cringe at the word fat because they think about themselves. They're remind that they don't want to be the size they are, get the looks they get, and feel the way they do physically and emotionally. So they don't want to hear the word at all. They spend a lot of time ignoring that they're gaining weight so they don't have to do anything about it and hearing the word "fat" snaps them back. If they were at a healthy weight the word "fat" wouldn't even matter to them. All of this comes from their own insecurities. Even if they somehow twisted the word to mean something else they still wouldn't like the word
I mean unattractive shouldn't be the reason LULW history really says otherwise. Being obese is just unhealthy af. Fat itself like the material isn't bad in itself either. You need fat to live. People just need to understand basic nutrition and they wouldn't become obese lol

I used to be an obese person, standing at 5'11 and weighing 273 lbs. I was not happy, I hated myself and everyone around me. However last year I started working on myself by only running a lap around my neighborhood each night, it was more of a jog and I would only start jogging when I felt like I could, otherwise I was only walking. I stopped eating foods from restaurants and fast food and I started seeing results almost instantly. I've lost 97 pounds and am feeling happier than ever, and even now I only work out around 30-45 minutes a day. That woman at the beginning talking about losing 60 lbs and working out 8 hours a day is weird. If she lost that much weight she would know that it takes nowhere near 8 hours a day to workout and lose weight or to just be healthy. If I had to work out 8 hours a day to lose all the weight I lost, I'd much rather just bite a bullet.
Being on the bigger side myself, no I don't think it should be celebrated, and I don't think it should be totally looked down upon either. Yes its unhealthy, some it isn't, it just depends on the size especially. You can't say you're healthy when you're 700lbs.
Me also being on the heavy size for people my age. I think being fat should be looked down upon. It something that can be changed. If you put so much effort into "loving" yourself for being fat. Why not put that effort into changing

@JeremyCuddles I lost over 80lbs doing 0 working out, I started working out after though for self esteem. You just need to eat under your TDEE and you WILL lose weight.
I don't support the celebration of obesity but also don't think it should be shit on if someone chooses that lifestyle. Obviously it's not healthy and promotes a terrible lifestyle but it's a self choice to lose weight. You telling someone that they should lost weight won't get them to actually do it unless they, themselves choose to. For 12 years of my life i was obese (extremely obese in highschool-- about 260 pounds), I've lost 100 pounds since highschool (went from 260 to 160) and have never felt better health wise. Decided to lose weight on my own terms and didn't care about what anyone else thought (even though I was harshly bullied for being obese)-- however, I will say that I've definetly been treated far better now then I ever was when I was larger. So I'm glad I made the choice to lose weight on my own. It's not that I was self conscious when I was fat, and thought people were judging me more than now-- but literally I get treated far better within different environments (like a waterpark, beach, gym, etc) as well as in social interactions (at a party, in a classroom, etc). Honestly it sometimes weighs on my mind because it feels sort of like I'm a different person now, obviously it's true in some form but not much has changed other than my physical looks, meanwhile I'm the same in personality and thought. Not to sound like a douche but the best way I can describe this feeling is to the reading "Allegory of the cave" by Plato. Just sharing my side homies xqcL Also an update to those that care-- I currently weigh 190 at the moment, because when I was 160, I was Bulimic and was often called scrawny a large amount because of my frame-- so I kept eating healthy while stopping toxic habits I developed (starving myself, bulimia, etc) and have hit the gym consistently since with some hiccups here and there. I've seen from both sides of the coin in a way and very much blame myself for both the rise to extreme obesity and the fall to scrawny.
I think people are seriously misunderstanding what the phrase "love your body" means. While it does mean you should be grateful for what you have, no matter *what* you have, and while I totally agree with that, it's also very important to realize that love means action, it's not just a feeling. To love is to care for, and if you really love your body, you should be taking care of it to make sure it is healthy.
there is nothing wrong with loving your body even when you are obese, but it is wrong that they make it look like something good that does not affect your health.
I disagree. You dont have to hate yourself ofcourse but you should 100% be disappointed that you put yourself in that situation. Use that to be proud of yourself again and lose that weight.
Well there are a lot of things wrong with it , they say you should love yourself no matter what but that should be for people who have some deformities or disabilities .... Being fat is by choice ....and if you are born that way your parents must have been fat and you should work very hard to change that ..... Nobody in the world should embrace being fat and be ashamed that they are killing themselves ..... I was in that position once and I'm so happy that I changed ..

Everybody goes through different shit in life and sometimes forget about eating healthy and to maintain their physique leading to huge weight gains, which is not ok to shame. Instead, motivate people to lose weight in order to get healthy, which is what this whole thing should be about.
My honest take on this whole subject is basically; Obesity is by all means a negative aspect of one's body... It's unhealthy, it's unnattractive and it greatly affects your life for the worse. It should in no way, shape or form be celebrated or promoted as a positive thing. If you're ok with being obese and don't mind it then good on you. But please do not go out there and say that being obese and/or fat is a good thing, or attack people for pointing out the truth that being obese isn't a good thing. Edit: On the other hand people who go out of their way to insult and/or bully people for their body is are a terrible thing. Weight loss is something extremely difficult and for those who struggle with it there is nothing more painful than having salt poured on their wounds. You should aspire people to succeed and to achieve their goals rather than to shit on their fragile sense of confidence and self esteem.

I suggest rope skipping. It's easily the best cardio. 1 hour (which you wont do but still) of rope skipping burns around 1074 calories. Also food is the biggest force in the equation like 85%ish
@@OcarinaOfVali The 85% factor makes sense/is a good point. Just switch out the daily Taco Bell for like a salad (no crazy dressing or meat spam) and then you get a free ~1-2 hour exercise head start or skip since starting from a lower daily calorie total that you need to burn in order to get in the lose weight range.
@@mystic95 Salads are usually not a good thing tho. People always spam salads onto others. You still need all your other nutritions. Salads on their own barely have any. Just a balanced meal is fine.

Note
- they are confused with the problem. they think it's people undervaluing overweight people, no, they are just as valued. The problem is that it's a matter of health. For those that treat you terribly because you are overweight, they are just terrible people that move the problem away from what it actually is, which is that people should just in general be healthy.

@@lion6379 don’t think any of them directly blamed others for them being fat unless I missed anything. I agree tho family and friends do worry and people don’t like being honest with each other. It’s not massive changes in lifestyle you need either but people don’t like change.
@@HaffyYT Indeed, I remember in the video that the Korean girl decided not to change considering the barrage of insults that she would get from her peers, that sucks honestly but it’s understandable in her case. Realistically, to lose weight they’d just need to eat healthier foods for a couple years or so. They don’t exactly need to work out, considering they gain weight based of their diet usually.

She chose to stay "fat" tho, not bcs of having to workout but bcs she didn't like her body being skinny
@JeremyCuddles Yeah it definitely is allot easier to do some working out with it. All it would take would be walking at first, do some push-ups and if they can’t do those, just do an easier version, and build up to where you’re jogging and you the amount of push-ups you do. That’s very basic but it would work. It would also be smart to do more than just push-ups and do other exercises as well.
Ikr, who the fuck works out 8 hours a day... Only bonkers pro athletes can do that. Literally jogging for an hour every other day and light dieting for 5 months does wonders
@JeremyCuddles nah when you're overweight you literally don't need to workout, u just need to eat less calories. But obviously working out speeds up the process
Just sharing my side homies xqcL
Also an update to those that care-- I currently weigh 190 at the moment, because when I was 160, I was Bulimic and was often called scrawny a large amount because of my frame-- so I kept eating healthy while stopping toxic habits I developed (starving myself, bulimia, etc) and have hit the gym consistently since with some hiccups here and there. I've seen from both sides of the coin in a way and very much blame myself for both the rise to extreme obesity and the fall to scrawny.
Xqcl im glad it turned out for the better
I think people are seriously misunderstanding what the phrase "love your body" means. While it does mean you should be grateful for what you have, no matter *what* you have, and while I totally agree with that, it's also very important to realize that love means action, it's not just a feeling. To love is to care for, and if you really love your body, you should be taking care of it to make sure it is healthy.

Well there are a lot of things wrong with it , they say you should love yourself no matter what but that should be for people who have some deformities or disabilities .... He does have a damaged knee which would make it hard for him to do certain things, but I don't think I have heard him use that excuse even once before, he just mentioned it. He also doesn't encurage his lifestyle to the whole planet and hope they feel bad for him, others do it for him to hope that he can change for the better to become healty and have a better life overall. Being fat is exactly the same as being a heroin addict. Celebrating or even accepting it should be illegal, scratch that, being fat should be illegal.

@@mystic95 Going to the gym helps people sometimes because it's like a driving force kinda. You can easily work out at home tho. If u focus on losing weight cardio is the best. I suggest rope skipping. It's easily the best cardio. 1 hour (which you wont do but still) of rope skipping burns around 1074 calories. Also food is the biggest force in the equation like 85%ish
@@OcarinaOfVali The 85% factor makes sense/is a good point.
