Best looking Werewolf ever. And I don't know how much of it was CGI and how much, or if any of it, was a costume, but it looks very real to me. And the fight was amazing!
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 yes it would've been cool but in this lore of the werewolf, you only turn back and forth from man to beast on the first 24 hours of the first turn, after that you remain a werewolf until cured or killed, so if he wouldve kept it, he would've ended up like the rest of the werewolves, except without a Dracula there to try to control it and with no Dracula to keep a werewolf in check or anyone who could stand up to them, the werewolves would've been the knew threat, the only reason why van helsing was able to withstand Dracula's will is because Van Helsing is the Angel Gabrial and because he has the absolute will and mind set that he himself needs to kill Dracula and is the strongest werewolf yet, while other werewolves are strong and formidable but they never knew their true potential because Dracula would break there will, hence why Igor was seen torturing Velkin when he was first turned

I cannot believe Dracula attempted to reason with Van Helsing while he was full-on werewolf. A vampire's advantage is in its ability to deceive its prey by assuming a pleasing/trustworthy shape, also its ability to sense its prey where ever it may hide. However, a werewolf's advantage is its utter lack of reasoning, its blind rage and burning hunger. If you ask me, the difference and danger should have been quite clear.
As quoted by Anna Valerious, “Dracula has been dealing with werewolves for centuries”. He had the power to make werewolves do his bidding. Gabriel Van Helsing, however, had a very strong will. With him being used to make werewolves his slaves, Dracula tried to have Gabriel join him like the others so that he could have a new werewolf slave after Velkan was killed by Gabriel. As quoted by some of you, Dracula knew he was screwed but tried desperately to lift his odds by attempting to have Werewolf Gabriel join him to make Vampire Babies.
That's the difference between vampires and werewolves (at least in most versions): the first are intellectuals and plays game on their victims. The second are just fearsome predators and goes straight for the kill.
Dracula knew he couldn't win a fight with a strong willed werewolf. He was hoping to convince Gabriel to see his way of things, enticing him with his memories of the past in a hopes to turn him.

there are better werewolf transformations like for example in The Wolfman Remake BUT you have to admit that this is exactly how a werewolf should look like and how I would imagine one.
Plus it's a pain in the ass when you're a vampire because you have to constantly feed on people. Not as bad as being a vampire in oblivion because you loose health when in sunlight and a cure is a nightmare to get still frustrating.

The thing I like about this fight is how both had the chance to dish good blows at each other. During the first bout we see Dracula kicking Van Helsing’s ass with ease, then Van Helsing retaliates and tearing Dracula’s wings. I doubt that he is unaware of what is happening, but is in full control. Considering how he was able to fight skillfully and able to dodge certain hits too. The battle however feels rushed, it would have been better if Dracula did not run off right away, since there was no reason to. He should have run off when he knew he was losing, which he did not during the first part... so a close battle during the second round would have been better before he run off and got his wing torn.
I would love to think this is some kind of Wolverine prequel; Where Logan is literally a werewolf at the beginning and through the years he learned to control himself to where he doesn't transform anymore; But retains the power of wolf and that is how he got his claws.
This is my all-time favorite movie ever. I've seen it so many times I can recite every line said in this movie, and this fight has to be the best werewolf vs vampire fight ever. Idk wtf the one's from twilight are. This is what a real werewolf should look like. PERIOD.
Personally, the second part of the fight should be longer since Dracula shouldn't be running away that quick. The fight should have been longer, don'tcha think?
Well Then I agree, there should have been a part where Dracula flies out of the castle, flees into the forest that was outside of the castle, and Van just chases him down and they have an all out blood fight in the forest, with Van finishing him off by impaling Dracula in one of the tree branches.
Holy hell, that would have been beastly! Yeah, that could happen during the part where Dracula flies out here, and he just chases him instead of pulling him down!
i'm only here for the beer alright, let’s go with the second part. As you said they would switch room to room. I will include the first part of this fight on that point where Dracula kicked Van Helsing on the face. What do you think should happen after that?
I've read somewhere that, contrary to popular werewolf transformations, in which hairs and claws grow and face transforming to wolf's, in this transformation scene they showed that skin tearing itself apart revealing the werewolf inside intending to say like "The Beast within the man".
It's true. They didn't show with Van helsing here but when the previous werewolf turn back into a human he tear himself appart, skinning himself alive and revealing the human within the beast.
***** I know that overhaul mod and the others associated with it. I enjoyed them and love the contributions to making werewolves viable. However, you just can't overlook the OP'ness of Vampires in vanilla Skyrim. Once we add in mods such as better vampires and better destro damage scaling, then it just begins to completely dominate the game.
***** I'm not arguing that it isn't powerful. However, imagine how tedious it would be to having to transform every single time you want to engage in combat. The transformation is more tedious than vampire lords and sometimes, werewolves get stuck in small corridors. If you don't mind constantly having to transform constantly in the middle of combat, then I can see it being both beneficial and entertaining. But what bonuses do you get if you are ambushed and must fight back in a jiffy? In vanilla, it's almost not viable and once your vanilla character is self-sufficient, then it will pretty much do as much damage, if not, more than as vanilla werewolf. Also, don't get me started on having to pop berserker's rage before each time you have to transform. Overall, it's not possible to have a viable werewolf character without mods. What a vanilla werewolf can do a vanilla character can do and has access to potions and with enchantments and smithing, can hit as hard or harder.
When I was a kid I remember going to see this twice in the movie theater when it first came out, I thought it was so cool and I think it still really holds up as a fun movie.
So, can I ask why Dracula had wounds shown while Van Helsing seemed to be unscathed? Like he didn't even take any even though he was quite beaten to a pulp during the first part of the fight.
They are more durable, and his wounds were probably covered in fur. You may also have noticed werewolf so she'd and regenerate skin every time they transform, so wounds wouldn't exactly stay there.
They really did some good research on making these fucking werewolves they are the best. Now thats a real wolf mixed with man and they look even more badass with the manes of hair. Nobody will top these werewolves ever unless they look like these
THE best werewolf I've ever seen. It actually looks like a real werewolf. It would be so cool to be able to shift to this monster at will. You could "dispatch" your enemies and no one would be the wiser. All you'd need to do is shift right in front of them and then back to your human form and their mind will be mush the rest of their lives. Who could they tell? LOL

The best werewolves and vampires I've ever seen in a film nothing has touched it this movie deserves way more love and notability
3:28 “Some things are better left forgotten.”
My favorite one liner before the kill
3:30 Someone's big trouble~3:31
That's it! You out aherd!

@@johnnyhanifin3794 I saw this comment and was so excited...until I realized it's near the end of 2018😂
BSM 1999 bruh it’s already April 2019 and I’m still waiting. 😂😢
there is a cross on the werewolves chest
I saw it too, it's in the center of Van Helsing's chest when he first transforms. The fur is gray.
ugh my stupid brother got on my account
+singit4ever5 holy shit i see it, i never notice that so i guess a lot more makes sense now
He's an angel so individually he has a cross
+Urso Minar wow making more sense now Gabriel is a angel i forgot that im so slow
This is my all-time favorite movie ever. I've seen it so many times I can recite every line said in this movie, and this fight has to be the best werewolf vs vampire fight ever. Idk wtf the one's from twilight are. This is what a real werewolf should look like. PERIOD.
"Dad, how did you become a furry?"
"Well, son, there was this movie called Van Helsing..."
Dracula talks to much.He should of flew off the moment Van Helsing transitioned back to a human.
His one wing was already damaged. I think he should have taken that oppertunity to fight van helsing.
He know his time was over
Rematch between Van Helsing and Dracula, how do you think would that go?
Very much the same
NonSignificantHero even if Dracula did not run away from me everytime?
@@Daybit97 All it takes is one bite and Dracula is kaput
ChhapriBhakt OFFICIAL mhm, perhaps so. I am confident on my ability to defeat him should a rematch occur.
-Malik- Oh? What made you say that?
Personally, the second part of the fight should be longer since Dracula shouldn't be running away that quick.
The fight should have been longer, don'tcha think?
Well Then I agree, there should have been a part where Dracula flies out of the castle, flees into the forest that was outside of the castle, and Van just chases him down and they have an all out blood fight in the forest, with Van finishing him off by impaling Dracula in one of the tree branches.
Holy hell, that would have been beastly!
Yeah, that could happen during the part where Dracula flies out here, and he just chases him instead of pulling him down!
Well Then And also Badass too :)
i'm only here for the beer oh shit dude, that sounds epic. I am going to write that, can you help me with the details?
i'm only here for the beer alright, let’s go with the second part. As you said they would switch room to room. I will include the first part of this fight on that point where Dracula kicked Van Helsing on the face. What do you think should happen after that?
I swear this is the best werewolf transformation ever!! Love this movie!
This was my favorite action movie as a kid I love Dracula's true gruesome form as well as Van Helsing's werewolf form. Such an epic fight
I had to admit Van Helsing Werewolf form is the most badass one, I had see in a movie.
Dragon King Oscurare Yeah we need more Werewolves like this in Werewolf Movies and also more Vampires like this too in Werewolf and Vampire Movies.
Wish Dawnguard ended like this.
Lallarn 66 Yeah that would've been a cool ending :)
Lallarn 66 I agree that would've been the greatest ending for Skyrim Dawnguard.
Clouds block moon
Dracula: I'm about to monologue this man's whole career
I love the fact that they put in so many classic, and iconic horror film characters in film history in this movie
I've read somewhere that, contrary to popular werewolf transformations, in which hairs and claws grow and face transforming to wolf's, in this transformation scene they showed that skin tearing itself apart revealing the werewolf inside intending to say like "The Beast within the man".
Indeed, this transformation does show that. In a way, only a beast (Van Helsing) can fight a beast (Dracula).
It's true. They didn't show with Van helsing here but when the previous werewolf turn back into a human he tear himself appart, skinning himself alive and revealing the human within the beast.
That remembers me of my battle against harkon in skyrim xD basically werewolf vs vampire(Lord) :D
nice
+Slundermen i hate any kind of vampires and i will fight them forever :D
Seriously. Vampirism is OP, especially with better vampires mod.
Still the best on-screen Werewolf.
Legit... this is my favorite werewolf design. Not sure why, but I really like it.
Literally a perfect Van Helsing movie and another Hugh Jackman master piece
There has not been a single vampire vs werewolf fight that even comes close to this. Hands down.
@@TonyxPwNaGe I wholeheartedly agree.
Just the way he attacked him was so awesome 👏
Agreed! Messed him up real good.
Look, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I would watch any movie with Hugh Jackman.
brayden thompson you’re not the only one. 😉
awesome fight scenes.
When I was a kid I remember going to see this twice in the movie theater when it first came out, I thought it was so cool and I think it still really holds up as a fun movie.
This movie is underrated and the cgi is unreal for 2004 . I wish people made good werewolf movies
This is THE most awesome werewolf of all time. Strangely, it's not even scary it's just a magnificent predator.
So, can I ask why Dracula had wounds shown while Van Helsing seemed to be unscathed? Like he didn't even take any even though he was quite beaten to a pulp during the first part of the fight.
Werewolves are more durable
They are more durable, and his wounds were probably covered in fur. You may also have noticed werewolf so she'd and regenerate skin every time they transform, so wounds wouldn't exactly stay there.
+Panthera Bisquick shed*, not "so she'd"
don't werewolves have insane regeneration?
Werewolves regenerate 1d6 hp a round ;-)
2:00 I LOVE IT
David Z same
2:06 넌 이미 죽어 있어용~
now THIS is the most beautiful werewolf I have ever seen.
Man, the talking and bitch fighting is just out of this world! I STILL love this movie to this day. 😭💚
Even if you hate or like this movie the werewolf design is absolutely perfect
Hugh Jackman's werewolf has to be one of the most badass werewolf forms of all time.
LOL
