For MK2, I think you have to follow up by going into enter your initials to save the volume. I think you can do it immediate in the menu, or you may have to get a win streak to save the settings. Can't remember for definite.
I really want this cab. But just can't afford these prices. Have a large mk collection and have been in love with this cab since they first posted it. I have a gen 1 with the mk2 artwork on it. Modded it to play all mk games with a raspberry pi a few years back. Always hated the design of the cab it's self. This one is more like the original cabinet. If I had that one I'd totally swap the insides out and then use the old one for my kids.
Thanks Chris for the info as usual, after watching this, i'll still keep my mame fullsize cabinet because, well i have MK plus + MK2 plus in there + 600 more games, Happ sticks + buttons, can't really ever beat that ! MK + are to me, the definitive versions of MK's no matter what A1up can put out. Love your vids, heading to Funspot Laconia NH next week, can't wait to go to Arcade Land ! I'll have a thought for you has I play on real hardware all over again ! Cheers !
@@deceptionz187 Yes you can but you need to mod your A1up with a PC first, there's no way around that unfortunately. Mine is a full size replica with a PC inside running MAME for MK+, MK2+, UMK3+ and + KI's + all arcade games. Its a long mod but totally worth the trouble if you ask me.

Hey man I just watched this video, thanks for all the info.. regarding the volume, after you change the volume you need to enter again to ejb menu and enter initials that way it saves everything you do on that menu!
I like this cab from Arcade 1Up so much I would probably purchase it and would change the monitor with the Dell 19" monitor along with the buttons and Joysticks. Thanks for the great video.
Has the online experience improved at all since this review? Did A1up so any patches to fix the screen some? I just bought this cabinet wondering if worth keeping?
Playing online is a nice bonus but defeats the purpose of having an arcade cabinet. It's meant to be played locally. If you buy this for online play then you miss the entire point of having an arcade machine at home
That's true but I don't know hardly anyone who would be interested in playing me locally lol. Plus these cabinets are just too small for two men to play together easily. I was excited about it with Killer Instinct since I've almost never had the chance to play against another skilled player. Even back when it came out, I rarely found opponents worth playing. I'd end up taking it easy on people so I didn't just destroy them.
I have only played a handful of games so far, but I haven't had bad wifi connection. Real good connection with a few different players, but the input lag is an issue.
It seems some people are either lucky or maybe have WIFI that the game likes. I've heard from some on WIFI that its great and some who had similar issues I did. The input lag seems to be reduced when on a wired connection.
🤨 I checked their site and it shows it with this riser. Does the box say anything about the riser? I didn’t think they sold any cabinets without a riser now.
Such a beautiful representation of the original MK machine. Too bad that screen is funked. If this were to go on sale, I may be tempted to snag it - at least one MK cab in anyone's collection.
Awesome review Chris! Besides the negative of Johnny Cage not being on the sideart, there should be an Ethernet option instead of Wi-Fi to play online.
@@KillerArcadeGames yea its so weird. I got it working on the MK Legacy Arcade1up cabinet EVERY single time, 1st try.. . But Ive tried 100's of times on the MK 30th Anniversary Arcade1up and it wont work :( lol. And that was the only purpose of me buying this machine, so that it would save the hidden characters.
i own it..I absolutely love the shape. I've been hoping that 1up would finally do a midway design and they didn't disappoint. However, I have fully modded it out at this point. First, the monitor sucks so I swapped the stock monitor for a dell 1708fp monitor and it's night and day better (you just need a cheap 12 dollar CCFL lamp adapter board off amazon to power the lamps on the dell after you decase it). I upgraded to Happ buttons and sticks, which like you said, is a pretty easy swap out. But after the The first week of playing online the wifi connection was absolutely terrible, exactly like you posted in your video. Now my modem/router is in my basement with all my cades but I just don't want to run ethernet all over the place so I said F' it. I decided to throw a PC in there and upgraded the monitor to the 20 inch dell 2007fpt with a black arcade bezel. I'm running all the MK+ games through BigBox and it is a much better experience. I have fight cade hooked up, as well, so I when I get the urge to get massacred by the fight community I jump on quick. I have been thinking about going back to stock again just to try to play with the community but I dunno if it's really worth it. Overall I give the cab shape a 9/10, and stock gameplay experience 7 out of 10 and stock online a 1/10. After the mod, i'd give it a 10/10.
I considered modding this down the line. The online play is so nice, getting to play with subscribers makes the life streams far more fun. The monitor upgrade would be nice for this cabinet too.
Are the graphics the same as the MK2 cabinet or are they closer to the original arcade? That’s the only thing I was disappointed in with the MK2 cab. Thanks
Great video! Maybe you got a dud? I have had a few hiccups with online play, but I have had several successful battles. I am hoping they offer a patch for the slow down exc? See you online....Hopefully.

The mk2 deluxe gives you an eargasm. Its so crisp and very loud!

I should have an update video soon. We’re really close to finishing it. We’re held up currently while we try to find an electrician.

Hello. I have one question, can a 30th Annivesary PCB be placed on a Midway Legacy Cabinet?
I really don’t know for sure.
I have only played a handful of games so far, but I haven't had bad wifi connection. Real good connection with a few different players, but the input lag is an issue.

Still Short
Gotta enter initials to save the volune
where did u get an MK 4 cab at???
That was made by a friend and I bought it from him. It had the real arcade hardware inside. I’ve since bought a real MK4 cabinet and sold that one.
Do the hidden characters stay unlocked after you turn off the cab? On the original it did, but the midway legacy it didn’t work
They do!
What does John D say about this monitor issue?
I’m not sure on that. He may have commented on it and I’ve just missed it.
I just bought this cab from Walmart without the riser but it doesn’t seem to come with an LED light. Am I missing something?
Uhh, you got this exact cabinet and no riser was included? They sell other MK cabinets but this MK1 themed cabinet should come with the riser.
I agree. But sadly I think Walmart is selling a version without that stuff. I bought it at my local Walmart
🤨 I checked their site and it shows it with this riser. Does the box say anything about the riser? I didn’t think they sold any cabinets without a riser now.
@@KillerArcadeGames the box says nothing about a riser. It’s not even featured on the box :(
I can email you a picture if you’d like
How is online play after a couple weeks did you use a hardline ?
It’s good, the only issue is running into WI-FI users who’s connection is lacking.
That’s awesome Zohar🤘🏼

Yes
Really love the look. Too bad my extra cash is for other things. Edit: can't wait for an update on the shed.
Its easily one of their best designs so far. The Star Wars cabinet is tied with this one in my opinion.
Is there an option to add scanlines in this one?
Yes, its in the options menu for each game.

Seems like a good cab overall. Thanks for the review.
It’s decent for sure. I suppose the only real complaints are the monitor and online play being rough on Wi-Fi.
