Talking Oilers, playoffs, and positivity with Brendan Perlini

It’s Friday afternoon and that means Oilersnation Radio is back with a fresh episode of the podcast full of Oilers talk to carry you through the weekend. This week, we recapped Game 5 from Edmonton vs. L.A., looked ahead at what’s to come in Round 2, and welcomed former Oiler Brendan Perlini to the show to talk playoffs, positivity, and whatever else is going on in his life.
Kicking off the Friday podcast, we started ONR with a delicious debate about who was the Oilers’ MVP and unsung hero during the first round of the playoffs before diving into a recap from Game 5, where the Oilers wrapped up Round 1 and sent the Kings to book tee times. We also touched on the players we thought played well and which guys we think need to step in Round 2.
From there, we welcome Brendan Perlini to the podcast to talk a little bit about his time in Edmonton, the Lamborghini Perlini nickname, what it meant to him to play in Arizona now that they’re leaving for Utah, and what he’s got planned for his upcoming RUclips channel.
Finally, we wrapped up the podcast with a look around the NHL, including the Bruins’ inability to close out Leafs and tonight’s Game 6 between the Canucks/Preds before wrapping up with another round of Hot and Cold performers.

I agree nuge has been a beast last few games. His PK was amqzing at the top. And was super cute to see draiasaitle call the pk perfect and see Nuge squirm about it ha ha so humble 😊 janmark, agreed, silently dependable. I agree eith everyone and agree Foegele is the man that has taken a bqck seat round one. I wanna see more Carrick round two if he can control his penalties. Kane did amazo g to chirp and be physical without too many penalties.
