Its nice to see a channel so young & the creator so passionate.
Bless up, yee
Thank you so much bro! I'm very passionate about this. This is my side hustle I already own a video game store with 2 employees and I bust my butt to get videos out on a consistent basis. So when people say things like this it really is an encouragement to continue and do better each time! I'm extremely blessed! Thanks man and don't forget to subscribe 👍😀
@@8Bitplus of course man!

Already did! Thanks brother!
@@8Bitplus yeeee, much appreciated mane!
good tip, if you don't have magnet mats, use a piece of laminated cardboard, make holes where you remove the screws and put the screws in that place.
I love that method as well!! Thanks for the added input!
Don't forget to subscribe!
Cool video! Do you film in 24 fps and/or slow down your footage? I'm noticing a bunch of blur on your hands.
Also liked the gasket analogy!
Thanks for watching it all the way through. The video was pretty bad in this one. I learned alot of lessons and will do better in future videos! I appreciate your input it helps alot to confirm what I'm seeing as well.
Someone needs to learn how to clean a console holy moly that's a lot of dust. Also nice sound effects.
Yeah you should watch the other PS4 refurbishment video I did. It was horrible!
this might be the most helpful youtube video I've ever found
Dude that is so sweet! Thank you so much it means alot! I'm gonna continue making these refurbishment videos soon. Just got alot of stuff going on in my business life.
Thanks for the video just saved me from breaking a few things
It's so good to hear this!
Great video, but where it goes that small part that fell off at the 9:59-10:00 mark, when u remove the psu ribbon,
Very good eye it's a nut that sits on the other side of the power supply to hold I. A long power supply screw. I forget the exact screw that it holds onto though I'll try to find a picture for you online.
Ok so I just called my tech that has been working on them more than me as of late and he said the same thing. Not sure exactly where it's located but it fits on the other side of the metal shroud and it holds in the PSU screw! Hope this helps and thanks for watching so closely! I'll do better to explain that on future videos!
Thx for the quick response, I will try to put it there or Im just gonna leave it, don't think is a big deal
It really isn't a big deal. Don't forget to subscribe!
It goes on top of the heatsink, you'll find the spot when you look for where it fits. You most likely found a screw that wouldn't go in during reassembly because of it. Has nothing to do with the power supply as previous suggested.
When did you remove the power suply, I mine feels stuck despite remove screws.
So first of all make sure your slim is the same slim as in this video. Cuh-2215B you can find the model number in small writing on the back of the console where all the ports are. Secondly remember their are screws that hold the power supply in on the top and the bottom. So the obvious ones are on the top side but if you don't want to fully teardown the system and you need to swap out a power supply you still need to get the screws on the other side of the machine. Hope this makes sense! Let me know what you end up with!
@@8Bitplus thank you for your help, I hot it!
Your welcome! Thank you for asking! Also don't forget to subscribe!
my favorite part of fixing a console is know that somebody can have fun again
Agreed! It's a great feeling!
This model doesn't have the wifi antenna in top of the psu as other models? Only one Wifi antenna? To remove the psu I guess you have to unscrew one screw on the bottom and two on top?
Yes this one they condensed down the antennas to 2 and yes you need to remove screws on the top and bottom side
Great video my friend. I just bought a CUH-2215B brand new from Walmart tonight (April 25th 2022) for $379.97 Canadian.
hi is it possible that i can send my slim for disc drive repair?
Maybe...but first if you don't mind me asking what city do you live in?
The little two prong piece that fell at 9:58. Where does that go???? SOMEONE HELP PLS N THK U
Goes inside the heat sink
"There are SO MANY SCREWS!"
*laughs in laptop*
I know it's crazy. Gotta stay organized or your screwed lol
@@8Bitplus - I found your video helpful today, by the way. Was trying to find where certain parts fit in. Thanks.
Thanks that means alot. I'm working on a ton of new repair videos and some other entertainment stuff soon.
@@8Bitplus Bit of feedback for something I just noticed now. And maybe you're already addressing this.
The blur-cut at 16:54 goes from a motherboard and thermal paste to having a significant portion of the PS4 already reassembled without visual on how you reassembled that portion of the unit again. That's an important part of the reassembly process so it's like you skipped a portion of the rebuild.
No biggy. Just giving feedback. :)
@@8Bitplus - Oh. By the way... I'm an engineer myself of several years. Not even I have thought of color-coding the screws with a sharpy like that. I thought that was a really cool, helpful trick. LOL
Just goes to show you that there is always a simple trick or two to learn and that you're NEVER done learning. ;)
Hi! One question CUH-2215B is the last ps4 slim model? Or exists better ones?
I'm pretty sure that's the last revision of the ps4 slim. However I'd Google "ps4 slim all revisions" and see what comes up.
I have a question. My girlfriends PS4 blu ray drive quit reading her games so I ordered a new drive. Will I have to take her PS4 completely apart like you did just to replace the drive ?. She has the model cuh-2215b like you are showing here. Thanks.
At 9:56 a piece of metal fell and you throw it away. Where is it from? I don't know where it belongs.
It goes into the heatsink. I missed it in the video and probably should remake this one because of that. But it fits in the heatsink.
@@8Bitplus Is it ok? i.imgur.com/CrHFMwa.jpg
yup thats where it goes! make sure you repaste that chip too!
@@8Bitplus Thank you. Already fixed it yesterday. Paste replaced, too.
Awesome!
You never mention where that piece goes in 9:57 fell and you just put it a side
That was my mistake but it fits inside the heatsink.
Which of these models is it more advisable to buy the cuh 2015a or the cuh 2215b ???
Why would you fast forward the reassembly😫😫part ...nice way of teaching...i swear all guys are the same
I have the limited edition blue slim and I have to say the fan cover is held together mostly by melted standoffs so I'm unsure how to proceed.
Just flip to the other side and continue. Your model is slightly different. But mostly comes apart the same.
@@8Bitplus I ended up using a box cutter blade to cut off melted standoffs then at reassembly I hot glued a few standoffs to prevent rattling.
You didn't show to to get the battery out. Mines stuck on the back left side and can't remove it.
I'll try to do a video specific to that soon but you have to push the spring down and pull it out.
Why doesn't have a wifi metal thingy on top of the psu
What doesn't yours or mine?
@@8Bitplus nvm... I have a different model
What's a colour of segel this ps4?? Just full black or not??
Segel? Isn't that an actor? I'm pretty sure you meant to say what model is it. And it's a CUH-2215B
@@8Bitplus sign of void sir i mean.. Because I have this one console ps4 2215b with black sign void just black without sign void
@@8Bitplus and i want to what's a colour of this console sign void, just fullblack or any else???
Oh I understand now. Yeah they are just black on this console. They don't said void until you peel them off.
@@8Bitplus So only the black seal is of type 2215, sir. because I have this console too with a plain black seal
My ps4 slim is the same model as you what type of power supply do i need?
Too many screws for me guess I'm screwed 🙃
Why it doesn't have antenna when you open then it
Could you give me a timestamp? I'm not sure what you are talking about.
I am saing when you open it it doesent have the antena in the back like other ps 4 slim
Why
The no antenna on psu model
For some reason my 2215b model doesn’t have a sticker or screw on the backside? It’s just a piece of glossy plastic. Super confused on how to get this bottom part off now
Your system may have been opened before.
@@8Bitplus I don’t think so. I bought in brand new from Best Buy in September 2019. It’s ok though I figured out I only need to open the top panel to dust it out. Runs a lot better now. Thanks for the helpful guide though!
