🤩Thanks Renee for going to the flea market😁 I love to see what is out there👍❣ I think you found special ephemera🤫 I am old and ephemera from a grandparent to a grandchild will make me tear up every time these days. Thank you for the memories.
Love the red HRM cookie cutters. That company is still in business. I had to replace our most beloved Santa face cutter that cracked and was delighted they still made them. It's still the cutout that everyone picks off the cookie tray first! 🤗
The lady of the morning again...like your shirt...saluting the Golden State! The Tote Man is out gathering goodie for you...a positive way to think! I'd get that massager for the wood pieces I use in projects. I have that same Stanley ruler! I'd get that neat Kennedy/Johnson campaign badge to add to my K/J collection. I have a few vintage Lionel operation books and pamphlets.
No Tote Man available this time, but I think I got a pretty neat idea. On my next trip to the States, I might rent a table on this market and sell some paper stuff that will meet exactly your interests, joking around (perhaps using a foreign language), and then we shall see what will be happening. So, be prepared for some kind of extraordinary flea market adventure, Renée ! 😅 Big score on the "Jack& Jill" magazines from the 1950s, I think you just picked the items in better condition which is understandable. I am not an expert on those magazines, but they might be worth something. Same with the artificial snow box, awesome design. Have a great rest of this sunny sunday, and God bless. 🌄Greets from GER, U.
Good point. I think that nearly every flea market has got some kind of tote man. And their merchandise is always in high demand because it is cheap. Have a wonderful sunday as well.
If you show up to this marked with paper, be prepared to be swarmed! You'll probably sell out before the sun rises! The Jack & Jill magazines are usually sold in lots on eBay, not too expensive but affordable for those that want to collect, pass along to their grandkids, or use in crafting. There were some in rough shape, look to have gotten wet at some point, so I tried to pick out those that covered a holiday or had a nice cover. This was a new seller to the market, so hopefully they come back again! Hope that you had a wonderful weekend and a great upcoming week!
I always wanted an old English Sheepdog too!!! And a Scooby Doo And Lassie And Deputy Dog And Hong Kong Fooey And Happy (from 7th Heaven) 🤣🤣🤣 You get the drift...but living in the South, a Sheepdog was a no go 😥💕🐾🐾🦴🦴 They are sooo cute! Just wanna give them aaaall the squishy hugs! Oh, and I have the Jetsons car in Hot wheels version...can't bring myself to let it go! 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing beats a good day at the flea! You got some fun stuff. The nail bag is very cool. I couldn't help but focus in on the Led Zeppelin vinyl & the shark pennant. Zeppelin & some sharks just hanging out at the flea. Good times. Here's to hoping the magical tote man returns soon! Every flea market needs a tote man.
When the Tote Man remakes his appearenc at the market, it shall be tote-ally fantastic-oh! Always good to get some thing, like the books, magazines, ducks & such. Have a great week Renee! 👍👍
I'm not the only one that misses the Tote Man, many other people were asking where he was. There was a guy that pulled in with a similar truck/trailer and for a few seconds I got really excited thinking he was showing up after all. Alas, it was not him. We'll have to throw a little "Welcome Back!" party when he does show up.
Thanks for taking us along, Renee! When the Toteman returns, the wait will have made it that much sweeter. Betting that model train paper has some buyers. Interested about that fake snow - is is some concoction you mix up? Wish we had weather cool enough for a jacket here! Heading out to my one estate sale for the weekend. Have a great Sunday afternoon and start to your week!
I wasn't expecting to need a sweatshirt on in the morning, but compared to the other weekends when it was humid & 75 degrees at 6am, the cool weather was a change! A viewer mentioned that the fake snow might contain asbestos, so I'll have to do some research and see if I even want to keep it. I'll keep the box though! Hope that you had success at the estate sale! My estate sale video will be out tomorrow - found some good things!
With vintage paper I've found misting lightly with Febreze will remove some odors. Worked especially well for smoke smell on one item although it took a few applications with time to dry in between. As usual, great video Renee.
Hi Renee. It's good to see the Flea Market going well. But without the Tote Man it's not fun. But, this was a great Flea Market find. God Bless you Renee. HUGS 🤗❤️. Mari'a. ❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗🪻🌸🌻🌺🥵🥵🥵🥵👍👍👍👍👍
The "what is this" next to the tape measure is a bank. It shows how much you put in. I have a collection of old book banks. Getting harder to find. They look like little diaries with a leatherette covering over a steel book shape. They were used for advertising and helping you save enough to make a payment on something. Perhaps a little dime bank would help make a payment for a sewing machine. A larger one took all change, and some had a spot for rolled up bills to pay off that car or fridge! I collect from the late 1800s (very few) to the late 60s or early 70s. 🏦
I have never seen the Titanic with DiCaprio! I really should watch it someday. I remember watching an old black and white Titanic movie in 1962 with my mother. It was on TV and really scared me. All those wonderful old kids books and magazines! I used to get Jack and Jill when I was a kid.
You aren't alone, my mom hasn't seen Titanic either. I actually saw it in the movie theater for my friend's birthday party. I remember they had an intermission because it was so long!
Wow the paper you got about the operation of the milk car that’s Lionel from what I saw… I paid close attention to your videos especially when you are going around the tables I seen some Lionel train stuff on the table very cool…
That one seller did have trains & I suspect they probably had even more train related items when they first set up in the morning… Most likely all sold to that first person to walk up to their stand!

No Tote Man there again? What a disappointment! We'll all have to demand his return even louder to make Renée happy at the flea market. Does the Tote Man have an e-mail address? We could all write to him and tell him how vital it is for Renée's (and our) well-being that he's back with his treasures next time. 😉 I hope he's not ill. 🤞🏻 But you still found some treasures! The graphic design of Jack and Jill makes me nostalgic! In my childhood (50s, 60s) we subscribed to a similar Austrian children's and youth magazine called “Wunderwelt”. I'd like to know what the artificial snow is made of. What a great design for the box. My foolish me is imagining a scene where workers are pouring artificial snow on a slope from little boxes so that athletes can ski in warmer winters. Thousands of such boxes would be needed. 😂 I know, I know, it's for decorating, not for sports. 🤓 Thank you for taking us to the flea market again! Whatever you find (or not), you make it fun and interesting. Wish you well Gabriele - Berlin (Germany)
@@melinaadamski8408 That is interesting. I don't know the “Rasselbande” (although I also grew up in Germany), perhaps because my parents didn't buy us any magazines or comics at all. The “Wunderwelt” was the big exception. Schöne Grüße!

I didn't even think about that, so thanks! For CDs/DVDs, most are under $5. Some sellers do $1 a piece or 2 for $3, somewhere along those lines. It's odd because there seem to be times when there is a frenzy of buyers for media and other times sellers can't get rid of them.
