The worst thing is when you’ve been taking it seriously THE WHOLE TIME (since March) and have been following all the guidelines/quarantining... BUT your extended family doesn’t!!! My family in Mexico was like you, started easing off and “going back to normal” in May. They ended up having a Mother’s Day get together, where someone was asymptotic with Covid-19, and spread it to 8 people. INCLUDING my 95 year old abuelita 👵🏽. I wish I could say she was able to fight it and this story has a happy ending, but no.. this virus took the matriarch of the family away from us on June 16 and we had to watch her burial from a FB video call. No funeral, no velorio, nothing. We weren’t even able to mourn together as a family.. or celebrate her life all together as a family. She was THE BEST grandma that ever walked this earth. Truly an angel sent from heaven.. and I guess now she has her wings.💛✨ It still hurts to even think about it 💔💔💔 Im honestly still in denial. 😢 PLEASE STAY SAFE, EVERYONE, AND CONTINUE FOLLOWING THE GUIDELINES!! If not for you, do it for your elders, your relatives, and people that can’t fight off this virus easily.😔
My grandmother has tested positive she's in ICU right now & can't have visitors or even call! She never goes anywhere so i don't understand how she got it

Hi Mayra, I'm an ICU nurse and I just want to thank you for using your beauty platform on addressing a topic that we should be concerned with. My icu is occupied with 100% covid population and my hospital is 90% full because of covid patients. I can tell you a lot of people are not taking this serious and you are absolutely correct about it not being a priority to some until it affects their loved ones. The whole wearing a mask is a whole other issue. Just wanted to say thanks again. Nurses are mentally and physically exhausted we just want everyone to do their part!

Girl I totally understand the anxiety that comes with Covid now - thinking every little sore throat means you’re sick. Try cleaning your living areas from dust and purchasing an air purifier! Also drinking ginger tea with lemon and honey every night to keep yourself physically and mentally good :) This has really helped me!
Wow, I feel you on the anxiety. Has anybody else on here cried alone at night sometimes because you’re overthinking about your family and how much you love them and how you just don’t want them to die? Like honestly, those thoughts really sneak up on me and I hate it. It really hurts and nobody knows how much I cry about them. 😔💔
Yes! I am the same exact way. I had an awful anxiety attack last night! The worst anxiety attack I've ever had. I don't know what to believe on whether it was man made or not but to see children and older people just die because of this shit virus angers me to the my core. My tia passed away a few days ago from covid and my kids great grandfather passed away from it to I read articles on people passing away from it and it really angers me to know all these people could have had plenty more years to live and enjoy life with their families by there sides but couldn't because of this bullshit virus. I am terrified!

He literally misguided America into thinking taking PURE CHEMICALS will fight the virus! An old couple that supported him and listened to him ended up dying because they took those chemicals. I mean, how careless can you be, knowing there are people who listen to you practically religiously?!

Yes please wear your face mask!! I work at Starbucks and deal with clients who are mad about wearing a mask ,all I have to say is I would love to not work but have family at home that depend on me and I don’t want them to get COVID so please wear a face mask for others such as my family!!

Covid hit my home, myself, my husband, my twin and her husband, my sister was 38 weeks pregnant when she was tested positive, she had one week being positive and went to labor, she went onto labor alone and my family not being able to do anything for her, but we have faith and thankfully my niece is one healthy baby, she was tested and was negative🙏🏼, my sister fought the virus one week in the hospital, she saw her baby 22 days later🙏🏼💕 both healthy. As for me I was diagnosed with covid pneumonia it’s a slow recovery🙏🏼 we all have recovered♥️ I was a person who didn’t have anxiety, and now I do. It’s so scary! Everyone please stay safe!! From one day to another we got hit with this virus, and we didn’t even have to go out to places other than groceries. For everyone that is going through this have faith💕🙏🏼 you’ll get through this💕🙏🏼

I suffer with severe anxiety and I honestly don’t know how I’m getting through all this because dealing with all this stuff + personal issues, it’s been extremely hard and takes a toll. I’m praying for everyone. People need to be wearing there masks to!!!
It’s hard when so many people don’t believe it don’t want to believe that the virus is real . My grandma passed away in April and after her 2 more family members passed away within the week because of the virus. It’s hard especially when it hits home. Now my parents and my younger sister have tested positive but they’re feeling better. Praying for everyone ❤️
I can relate Mayra this whole virus and stuff going on has given me really bad anxiety. Specially being away from everyone I been quarantined since March havent hugged or kissed my family. Its made me more grateful and closer to god. Im glad I can relate to someone ❤️ keep your head up

My dads leaving the hospital tomorrow after spending 10 days in the hospital- 7 of them in the ICU. We came so close to losing him and are incredibly grateful that he’s healing and coming home. And also for admitting that you yourself did do things or act like the virus wasn’t as big of a thing for a bit but I think that’s important too. To show that you know what you can realize you were wrong or not doing the best you could’ve and change it. We all need to realize that. I also agree, unfortunately so many people aren’t going to believe it or understand the importance of taking this seriously until it hits close to home. But that’s what we all want to avoid. It’s so disrespectful to me that some people still want to claim it’s not real when SO many people have lost a parent, spouse, child, grandparent, etc to this virus. It’s real. And even if you don’t think it is, please don’t be selfish and just wear the damn mask and keep a distance. We need to all think of eachother more and come together as a society to help get rid of this or at least lessen the impact. Thank you for being to open regarding this subject. I feel like a lot of influencers are not taking covid serious. Every other video or post seem to be regarding them being out socializing and really just going n with their lives as if we are not right in the middle of a pandemic! People might say well what is it to you? or why do you care? But. like you said today is them tomorrow it can be me. I am proud to say I am one who has held it down since March when this all began and people around me my own family thought I was doing too much. It's sad to say but those same people contracted this virus and only then they agreed with why I stay away and took my own precautions. Honestly its not even for me that I wear a mask its for those I love around me who have a weak immune system. My parents are up there in age and my sister battles lupus. So I wear a mask out of pure love! Praying for better days! My close union with God and my faith are the only things keeping me sane. Hang in there you are not alone. I am home staying away from everyone because I have a 2 year old boy. It's so hard but what makes it harder is my in-laws constantly having BBQs, outings, gatherings and treating us like we are crazy. It also causes fights with my husband because they convince him we are being wayyy too over protective. But my heart tells me it's the right thing to do. ☹️💔🥺🙄 It's so hard to have them call us crazy n constantly send family group texts about how crazy we are.

But i have two kids that i have to protect and my husband that provides for us i cant have them at risk becuz my family wants to get together all the time. We have had alots and lots of arguments over this its mind blowing that my own family cant respect my own choices and fears that i have 😔😷 and not to mention i do have a family members that have it and no body cares
@@Yasmine_Beauty_LA girl. I'm Mexican and I can totally relate. My in-laws are so annoying. At least my parents get it. Their sad about it but they respect it. My in-laws text my husband, they don't even speak directly to me and they throw so much shade. They even cause fights between him and I because they end up convincing him I'm crazy. But I have asthma and it's been bad and my lil one hasnt been diagnosed yet but he definitely seems to have asthma. Even if he didn't I still want to keep him safe. We should be getting a round of applause for being good moms and not being careless but instead we get called crazy or exaggerated or they say we are doing too much. Hang in there. God gives us mommy instinct and we know why we do what we do.

I pray everyday for everyone. Both my parents and my brother got it and my mom said it was tough she thought she wasn’t gonna make it luckily they all recovered now! But unfortunately I work in the medical field and have seen the worse of the worse my anxiety is at another level because of those people that don’t wear mask our health systems are overwhelmed I feel overwhelmed! I have two kids and I am scared to get the virus and pass it on. I don’t go out just to work and home that’s it. I only ask one favor from everyone doesn’t matter if you believe it or not just please wear tour mask. It does saves lives and I don’t want anyone else to get sick

I agree people don’t take it seriously unless it hits home and unfortunately sometimes it’s too late. These are difficult times and sadly it’s only bringing out the worst in people, people are not only getting mad over something as simple as wearing a mask but people are now also getting mad because some of us are being careful and not going out like if this virus isn’t here? 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for bringing awareness on this topic Mayra 💜 All we have left to do is pray and have faith that this virus won’t hit our homes and we all get through this together 🙏🏻💕

I’m not done watching. But I do have to say I’m paranoid as well. I’m pregnant and deal with health anxiety so this has driven me crazy. The best thing to do is to stay away from the news (it’s important to stay informed but do have a limit because you’ll only fall in an anxiety hole.) also, I’m sorry for your loss. I hope you and your loved ones are safe 💕

Everything you said was SPOT ON. I feel stuck in the position where my family hasn’t had that moment yet, where it hits home. They’re going out like Covid doesn’t exist. I don’t see my family because of this reason but they tell me I’m paranoid & basically YOLO. I’d rather be safe than sorry. It’s a tough place to be in , especially because I see they haven’t gotten sick, YET. Just stubborn ig but I see it in so many people ,it’s sad.

My tia/Madrina passed away this Monday and my uncle is currently in ICU trying to fight the virus off and it's so frustrating that the people who don't deserve it get sick and pass but the people not listening and still out doing shit don't get sick. I’m 24 and got covid was out of work for 2 weeks. I couldn’t even talk or walk without losing my breath and wanting to pass out.. I lost my taste and sense of smell. This shit is REAL! please wear y’all masks and don’t be going to parties. It isn’t worth it
I have severe anxiety to begin with and now my job and living situation completely has fallen to shit. I have absolutely no control over it at all and it just has been hell trying to even just get out of bed in the morning! It’s so frustrating to see people out and about acting like fools going to parties and shit...i just can’t even. I literally can’t.
Smoking weed has been helping me get through covid. Honestly, we’re all feeling some type of way now.. hope everyone has a way to cope with this traumatizing event. Prayers and blessings to the world. 🙏🏼
Honestly same!! Crazy thing is, 5 people live in my house, 3 smoke weed daily, 2 dont.. the 2 that dont smoke tested positive & the 3 daily smokers never got sick.

The decision you have to make to be present and show your respect or stay home and be safe hard to make and your family is already upset so with hardly no one there to console them how would you feel? I already deal with anxiety/depression. This shit(and other 2020 bs) has my anxiety so damn high. My mom's best friend is a respiratory therapist and she now has it. Hearing her situations at the hospital she works at makes me more paranoid. Her daughter and granddaughters have it. It's freakin real and people in denial make me even more anxious.

This virus has affected some of my friends that I known for a long time but thankfully they have like a mild case so they're getting through it. It's a very very horrific thing that is happening. I totally get why you get anxiety whenever you start feeling sick because I get like that too. I find it sad that there's still some people who don't believe that covid-19 is real like my cousin who lives in Mexico City was telling me how a lot of people say that it's made up by the government it makes me really angry but at the same time like what can you do if they don't wanna listen? I started to care less and less about coronavirus and then my little sister got it. It sounds horrible and shes still recovering and its been a week and she said she still feels the same.. noone takes it that serious until its literally knocking at your door. how close does the virus have to get for people to understand it is real and is bad. I hope everyone starts to take it seriously so this thing will stop spreading. I'm taking wayyy more precaution now.. and we are continuing to pray she recovers..

Ive alway has anxiety but now it so much worse. Since March my kids ( 1,3yrs) have not been out in public only my son because since he has sever medical issues we need to be on top of but they have not step anywhere but Doctors office. I refuse to put my kids a risk. My mom who is a germaphobe got it and was quarantined for 3 weeks. Me taking care of her was so emotional draining, thinking she could leave me any second. There was days she hardly ate anything and those where the hardest it’s been almost a month since she’s been okay and I thank god! Now my Grandparents and uncle in Mexico are fighting for their lives. My grandpa is 91, so he might not make it and my grandma has diabetes and to think I can lose both of them to this just makes me want to die. I love them so much I pray to god not to take them and if he does that they don’t suffer. please stay safe. And wear your MASK! 😷

Being Hispanic and having a huge Mexican family its really hard to go threw this becuz i feel like they dont understand how important it is to stay away from each other... they call me crazy they say i over exaggerate and they say i cant live my life in fear cause ill age faster but i cant my anxiety and paranoia wont let me be calm i have my two kids and my husband i care for and need to protect we are in sad times right now but we gotta do wat we gotta do to keep each other safe even if that means no family bar b qs or gatherings like Mexicans are use too

I’m glad your taking proper measures because a lot of people that I’ve seen don’t care at all.I work at a clothing store and those people are nasty and a lot of the time they don’t clean their hands right when they get out of the store.It’s Sad and disturbing because people really don’t care and don’t seem to bother to think that this is real.

Thank you for talking about it. I see a lot of “influencers” who don’t care and hang out with their friends on and off. It really frustrating because people with a high following should at least have the decency to set an example. My family & I had Covid back in April and it was scary af & yet half of my family was acting like it was no big deal 😤My husband lost his uncle on Saturday due to Covid & is now worried for his mom who now also has it. This is not a joke & nevertheless political, I pray & hope those who aren’t caring don’t get sick or even worse get others sick because their actions are worrisome 😪
It's very real, I had it my husband, son, sister had it. And sadly my mother passed away from it! I'm heartbroken people don't take it seriously!
Yes this year has been terrible my abuelito passed away 1 month ago and I couldn’t go to Mexico because so many flights were cancelled so I didn’t get to despedirme de el and it’s been a tough month and now I’ve come to find out that a grandmother figure I have here in the states has COVID and shes had cancer multiple times and been through an endless number of surgeries so she is very high risk and she’s at the hospital right now so please keep her in your prayers 😢🙏🏽
I think In one way or another someone is going through something right now. My parents are getting a divorce, my center where I work closed I got transferred to a new center but I don’t feel welcomed at all, I’m still grieving the loss of my stillborn baby dealing with my anxiety and depression. My aunt in Mexico passed away grandpa in Mexico diagnosed with COVID. My dad just 2 days ago got into a car accident It’s crazy right. Hope everyone stays safe and stays inside and please wear your mask. I have to wear my mask 8hrs for work and trust me I hate it but I have to for my family I have my daughter and family to go to every day.

Es tan real, y de verdad es muy desesperante que la gente no haga nada al respecto. Mi esposo es piloto de rescate, trabaja para el sector salud y vivimos en el estado de México, y todos los días, TODOS LOS DÍAS ve casos horribles de Covid, ve los hospitales al tope, pero la gente no entiende, siguen reuniéndose como si nada, saliendo como si nada. No tienen miedo, ¿enserio? En mi familia mi esposo arriesga su vida diario y no vale la pena porque la gente seguirá sin entender... 😕
