After 10+ years on this path to me it seems like it's "all or nothing" type of deal rather than "making your life incrementally better and better." So either you're absolutely happy, or you're still suffering. And in the moments when I'm suffering, it seems like I'm suffering even more, perhaps because it's the separate self rebelling. So that's why it seems the teaching doesn't make your life better, unless you have the full understanding and the ego is uprooted completely. Maybe it's different for different people though.
I understand what you mean. In my experience, there are some rare individuals who are fully awake (Gary Weber springs to mind, Ramana too etc). But no question the non-dual understanding has enriched my life tremendously - without having the 'all' deal you allude to. Maybe 'one day', but if not - this pathless path is still a treasure beyond anything I ever 'knew' before :)

Today at work especially during the morning I felt this causeless happiness to a degree I've never felt before and when feelings of suffering arose, just by looking at them they vanished and was seen to be impersonal feelings. And I realized this has been going on for a while. I guess it's just the mind that doesn't really register the happy moments but only remembers the suffering moments. I can also say for 100% certainty that Rupert Spira and Francis Lucille fully embody this understanding.
@@JokisenTontsa I am not sure they would claim to 100% embody this understanding - and that's a good thing. We are all after all both human (flaws and all) and 'being'
@@IAmSimonMundie Yes of course they wouldn't. And I don't mean they'd act perfectly in every situation. Perhaps embodiment was a wrong word for that. But I mean they have fully recognized the absolute happiness and immortality of consciousness. In other words "went all the way".
