- Whenever a sunscreen claims that they offer non-nano mineral filters AND won't leave a white cast, I'LL always be there to test and verify. Mainly because you guys are always in my DMs or comments requesting a review! So when #Cocokind announced their Daily SPF, my sunscreen senses tingled and I knew I needed to test the claim: is it really Brown Skin Friendly? Hope you guys can make it leave no white cast I think it sfilll have white cast compared to supergoop makes my skin pale, and maybe a bit more hydrating like a lotion.

Another great review, Ramón! And so on point when you talk about sunscreens taking time to work it in the skin. My issue particularly has been that rubbing sunscreens, especially mineral in my face kind of irritates my skin. And once it starts burning or itching at any part of my skin due to the rubbing in, I am like, no bueno, I need outtttt.
Honestly, who got time to waste rubbing in sunscreens for 5-10 min? You lucky if I wake up with enough time to have breakfast in the morning. Plus, sunscreens need to be easy to use and apply, with no learning curve. That's one of the many reasons that leave people not wanting to wear sunscreen on the daily.
I definitely agree it likely wouldn’t work for darker skin tones. I have East Asian tan/golden skin so I feel I can get away with the white cast (tho for me I don’t notice it). My eyes can’t stand US chemical UV filters so I enjoy this product a lot, especially since it doesn’t have fragrance nor smell like much. In my opinion, it is not oily skin friendly since I look SHINY as someone with dry skin. Love how thorough you are with testing each and every sunscreen

I apply that amount to my forehead alone. I have finally tried the Biossance mineral sunscreen with squalane and I actually like it. I don't wear makeup but it doesn't leave a cast but do take about 40-45 seconds to work in. It's very moisturizing for my dry skin.
I think a huge factor in people enjoying that sunscreen and it working for them is skin type potentially. I follow a derm on IG named Raheim (dr.saveyoskin) and he put it on, blended beautifully into his skin, and he enjoys it
@ yes, skin type plays a huge factor. I feel the Biossance one is more for people with dry skin like me because it is so moisturizing. I have to try other mineral or hybrid sunscreens.
Great to know that Biossance sunscreen works on you. I have dry skin but most moisturizing sunscreens are too greasy for me because I feel like they go heavy in on the oils that don't absorb well into my skin. (Looking at Black Girl Sunscreen which I so badly wanted to work on my skin but it left me as an oil slick). I hope Biossance will be different.

Great review! I’m a light/medium woman of color and although I like the Versed spf, it does leave a bit of cast but I feel like any mineral sunscreen will do that to anyone with olive or warm undertones 🤷🏻♀️ But I’m still interested in trying this out❤️
I've seen a couple darker skin individuals (Funmi Monet for example) that applied this and it worked beautifully on their skin! I'm gonna keep this in my rotation and do a follow up vid soon
Its so confusing how this sunscreen is spf32 with 20% non nano zinc oxide, and other sunscreens like Purito comfy water and Australian Gold Tinted can have less than 4% zinc oxide and be spf50 ++++
It comes down to particle size and formulation. There are a lot of elements in an ingredients list which control and factor into protection and wearability. The interesting thing is that both Purito and Australian Gold are very transparent with their UV and SPF testing results on their sites. Certain ingredients boost and fortify UV protection and help to bump up SPF values.

Never heard of this brand🙁...your review is great!!!.. you look fantastic!!! So I guess it did work far you!.. difficult to find a mineral sunscreen for darker skin tones....good idea to put the tube in front of the light to see the actual content..hahaha....by the way I live in Rotterdam, the Netherlands....and right now is really hot...95 degrees...humid...horrible if you reaply sunscreen ☺☺☺
I hadn’t either! It’s one of those clean, hip brands that on the rise, and it seems like a lot of the products feature coconut based ingredients.
And I love the Netherlands! My best friend studied for her masters over there and I spent a lot of time visiting her, so I saw so much of the country. I loved Haarlem and Blijburg Aan Zee the most. I had yet to go to Rotterdam though 😔

Damn you even held it up to the light. I always do that. It irks me. I mean there maybe is a reason they leave some room, but I don’t know. Hold up a tube of Krave Matcha Hemp face wash when you get it. No ma’am! And I really like that stuff so if anyone can be transparent about that it’s Liah Yoo. She’s pretty trustworthy.

Great video! Also have you tried the Cōtz flawless complexion sunscreen spf 50? I’m trying it out and it’s left no white cast (I’m olive/tan) but it’s sooo dewy.

It didn’t blend in on my skin , I have a darker skin tone than yours. It kept on coming out and in my beard too
I wanted to love this sunscreen so much, but sadly it pilled up on me soo badly and left a bad white cast as well :/ I also felt for how little the bottle is, it was a bit overpriced because it felt like the bottle was already half empty. Not a fan sadly :/

Hi have you tried the Etude house mild airy Physical sunscreen?? Do you think it’ll be suitable for dark skin?!
I have, I 100% don’t think it will. It leaves a GENEROUS white cast on my skin, and even though it leaves a nice matte finish, the cast is too pronounced on me, so much so that it actually alters the coloring of makeup I put on top to try and diminish the severity of the cast
Glow By Ramón Oh thanks for responding! If it leaves white cast on your skin, then it’ll look even whiter on me. I was about to purchase it as I’ve seen so many people loving it. When I searched for it’s reviews, some were saying it left whitecast while others said it didn’t! I even saw a video where it looked perfectly fine on dark skin. (Maybe that girl applied very less) I was so confused lol But I think I’ll try the chemical version or maybe the Purito comfy water block! 🙂
