- Officers with the York Regional Police Road Safety Bureau arrested and charged a man with the criminal offence of Dangerous Driving after he was found driving 146 km/h in a 60 km/h zone in the City of Vaughan.
Speeding continues to be a problem on our roads. It is a major factor in many motor vehicle collisions and is often an aggravating factor in tragic incidents that result in death and serious bodily harm.
Some speeds are so egregious that a traffic ticket or summons is insufficient to deal with the gravity of the situation. When warranted, York Regional Police officers are prepared to lay criminal charges.

Wow...kudos to the officer for his professionalism and helping keep our roads safe!
Yes I noticed that too !
Thank u, YRP ❤ for keeping us and our roads safe 🙏
0:11 I love how the cop was so chill, nice, and made it seem like a normal traffic stop but then all of the sudden he's like, by the way you're under arrest. 😂😂
Thanks YRP ❤
Thank you for keeping us SAFE ❤GOD BLESSINGS FOREVER!
He way too polite made me laugh😂
146 in a 60????
A 22-year-old man from Brampton... WOW
Yeah, who would have guessed? LOL
Good catch. 86 over in a 60 is as dangerous it gets. It's different than 40 over in a highway. The penalties, suspensions and fines should incrementally go up from anything let's say over 50. The judge should also look at the person's annual income and the fine should be increased incrementally if they rich. That's what they do some places Europe.
What people don't realize is how much it actually costs at the impound. When my vehicle was stolen and recovered it cost me $250 to get out of the impound, that was for 1 day (technically a few hours) I could only image what it costs for 14 or 30 days! lol
Amazing ❤👌
I’m coming from work , most lame excuse, good job officers
I'm gonna become one of yall in the future. Hopefully.
Damn son, you trying to kill yourself!?
Next time no more driving
Well if from Hampton you already know
Save those speeds for the 401 after midnight.
