- In which John took the assignment a little more seriously than Hank. WHAT A SURPRISE!
Also, it's Black Friday, 20% off of Everything at DFTBA.com! dftba.com
Some people have mentioned that Hank is the silly brother and John is the serious brother, so we decided to riff off of that a bit, but let's be honest...we're both the silly brother, and we're both the serious brother :-)
Of course we talked for longer than four minutes, so I'm going to upload the extra over on HanksChannel soon: / hankschannel

I'm thankful for that guy working back there in the background all by himself
That's Matthew Gaydos.
Matthew and Patrick!
I am thankful that John is so willing to talk about his not-normal brain. As someone who routinely has staring contests with the medication that I really do need to take every day, it is really helpful to hear someone who is by all means successful say that sometimes taking that pill is really hard and that some days getting a frozen pizza and throwing away empty soda can really is a huge accomplishment.
I'm also really thankful for that clicky noise that pens make. Like you can do so much with that and it's super satisfying.
I feel this comment so hard.
When did he talks about this?
Melinea13 He talked about it in a post on tumblr a little bit ago. tmblr.co/Z8tCXx1VnFbA_
theravensdesk
Thank you :)
theravensdesk Oh no, tumblr is a place that I have stayed away from because I hadn't seen anything valuable on it before. I'm afraid of time sinkholes.
Sigh
Thank you for expanding my horizons.
In which John Green took the assignment a little more seriously than *****.

***** "We're both the silly brother, and we're both the serious brother." I think that sentiment represents pretty much everyone. We have a bit of serious and silly, and none of us are the oversimplifications others make of us.
I'm thankful for feminism
And I'm thankful for Harry Potter merch 😊
I'm thankful that we live a nice distance from the sun. Not close enough to burn, not far enough to freeze. I am also thankful for those paper toilet seat cover things that they have in public washrooms.
I am thankful for a lot of things in my life. One example is the ability to watch these videos at any time I want. You guys have helped me embrace my nerdiness and given me a laugh when I needed it most. Thanks!
Today when I was shopping I saw a glass in their design that said don't forget to be awesome just making sure the vlog brothers are not selling their design on glasses at bed bath and beyond
I'm thankful to live in a country and a century when I can have a non-straight orientation and a somewhat non-binary gender and not have to worry about being killed/locked up/institutionalised/"treated" for it. I am also INCREDIBLY THANKFUL TO HANK for making "Human Sexuality is Complicated", when he did because it freaking is. Thank you for warning me! (that was not sarcasm. Seriously. Thank you so much!)
I'm thankful that there are so many alternative meanings of DFTBA. I'm also thankful to whoever was writing "Twelve Days of Pizzamass".
I'm thankful for all of the things you talked about in your first paragraph, for your sake, my friends' sake, and society's sake.
I'm thankful that people were interested enough in The Twelve Days of Pizzamas that it's going to be a thing and that people want to be a part of it. (If you want to record yourself singing it and be part of our collaborative recording, please do! ruclips.net/video/gda8GtbgSpk/видео.html )
:)
The "Human Sexuality Is Complicated" video is one of my favorite Vlogbrothers videos. I posted it to my LGBTQIA group's page when it first came out. I'm so thankful to be in a supportive community like Nerdfighteria that is mindful of the spectrum of sexuality.
*****
Hi, fellow Christian here. Stop worrying about other people's souls. Gay people do not need to be "saved." Also, there are people who are gay and are also Christians. Jesus never even mentioned homosexuality in the Bible. Please stop trying to tell people how to think.
(Yes, you are trying to tell people how to think, even though your words are couched in understanding and concern. You probably think you're being helpful, but you are not.)
*****
Goodbye.
Totally agree with you, 'SomeoneBeginingWithI.' I feel the same.
It's really weird how you Americans have a holiday about saying what you're thankful for, and then the day directly after that, you go out to buy loads more stuff, because you're not entirely satisfied with what you have. Just seems a bit contradictory to me.
Not all americans are fans of it, mind you.
I'm thankful I get to go on the internet everyday and read condescending comments about Americans from non-Americans. Because everyone likes judgmental generalizations
thepokkanome Hey, I'm not judging here. The UK has plenty of it's own stupid traditions that any outsider could say were weird. hell, we're starting to have black Friday, even though we don't have thanksgiving or a national holiday for the day to really justify it. I know not everyone in America is into it and I know a lot of people think it's stupid. I'm just saying that as an outsider, it seems like a strange and contradictory tradition to have in your country in general. that's all.
***** It's not really strange when you realize Black Friday is a manufactured holiday to boost sales going into the Christmas season. I recently learned about China creating a similar holiday called "Single's Day" on Nov 11. It became the single biggest day for online shopping in history.
My mom called me and asked if there was anything that I wanted that would be on sale, and I was all like, I'm kinda good with what I have...
I'm thankful for family, friends, Nerdfighteria, John, Hank, Sarah, and Katherine.
I'm also thankful for the look on John's face when Hank described the things he's thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving Green family! Happy Thanksgiving Nerdfighters!
*****
Hope you're having a good Thanksgiving too!
No, I didn't see your video yet. I've been a little out of the loop over the holiday. Yay, I can't wait to check it out!
Hank: I'm grateful for human hair
John: 👁️👄👁️
I'm thankful for getting to watch these videos and feel like a part of this community, even though I live in Europe.
I'm thankful for being able to walk, because I was paralysed 13 years ago. It may seem like a long time, but recovering from these types of things doesn't happen overnight.
I'm also thankful for the fact that my cats are awesome, and that they'll never forget to be.
Even if the recovery had been a thousand times quicker, you wouldn't forget how it felt to be paralysed. I can't imagine what it would be like to be unable to get my legs to move by themselves. (Because of the stairs to enter my home, I'd have been pretty much helpless.)
You don't have to "feel" like a part of Nerdfighteria! You ARE a part of Nerdfighteria! *waves Hello, better-behaved cultural cousin!
Hello fellow European nerdfighter :D never feel you're not part of the community, and huge congratulations on your recovery, I can't imagine how many hours of work you put in to make that happen.
Thank you so much. I'm literally crying, and I don't really know how to respond. I am so lucky to get to be a part of Nerdfighteria. There are a lot of people who looks down at me for my physical disabilities, and I get a feeling some might think that they aren't real, just because they're not as visible as many others. Even though I know I will never fully recover, it's great to have people who see that it's not simple, and realise that it's hard work:)
oh, and thanks for seeing me as a part of Nerdfighteri. Awesome
I really appreciate the cameo here of the third Green brother, Bubble Wrap Green. John and Hank are awesome, but I wish they'd let Bubble talk more.
Dave!
"I will grow into this"
The internalised sentence a child repeats after having heard it in between once and a thousand times. I love their tiny little brains, pretending to be smart for so long and so hard until they finally actually believe it themselves and everyone around them as well, factually making them smart. It's all just a big cycle of brains faking until they make it.
That's what I'm thankful for.
Very well said.
+ comment boost
I'm thankful for you guys and all the young people like you because it makes me hopeful for the future of the planet. I'm also grateful for Kathy Dalton's deviled eggs because they are totally awesome and I can't make decent deviled eggs. So just a shout out to my pal Kathy Dalton.
What are deviled eggs? I don't think we have them in the UK.
SomeoneBeginingWithI im from New Zealand and as far as im aware, a deviled egg is when you cook eggs, chop them in half, remove the yoke, then mix the yoke with spices and pipe it back into the egg
SomeoneBeginingWithI
also known as russian eggs - at least here in germany - and in russia. And they are so yummy! Especially if you mix the yolk with mayonnaise and mustard and dill!
...now I want some :-/ I am thankful for deviled eggs, too :D
Yum!
88sajka I was born in Russia, and I've never heard of Russian eggs. Then again, Russia is ginormous, so maybe they're from a different region.
(That being said, if you're ever in Russia, never say the phrase "Russian eggs" because "eggs" have the same double meaning as "balls" do in English and they might mistake your meaning...)
*I am thankful for you guys!* you (In particular Hank) are the reason that I started vlogging! Back in May 2011 I saw your "How to vlog" video and used all of that to start making my own videos! I'm having a lot of fun and am actually going to be doing vlogmas this year! Thanks guys! DFTBA :D Much love from England
Good Luck on Vlogmas! Daily Vlogging certainly is a challenge.
I am thankful for the Performing Arts program at my school. Because of my percussion ensemble, I have found something that I am passionate about and would like to teach others about for my career. I am also thankful for my family and friends who have always stood by me. I'm thankful for nerdfighters as well as John and Hank, for giving people a community to work with and actively decrease world suck. DFTBA!
Good luck with your future career in music!
@nadict1000 Thank you!
Silly thing: I am thankful for Hanks beautiful, masculine unattached earlobes and Johns equally beautiful attached earlobes.
(Yes I do pay attention to these things)
Serious thing: I am grateful that I live in a day and age where I have the ability to comment about a man who is way older than me and his earlobes and have people actually think that's funny.
I'm thankful for being born in a part of the world where I don't really have to worry about staying alive. I'm also thankful for the word gnathostome, because of how fun it is to say.
That's an awesome word! What the heck does it mean?
It's biology jargon for a vertebrate with jaws
*****
Thanks! Learn something new every day. :)
nadiact1000 You're quite welcome! :D
Thanks for giving me a new favorite word! Now I can say "vertebrate with jaws" in style.
Silly: I'm thankful for hedgehogs being adorable.
Serious: I'm thankful for medicine and family and Nerdfighteria and camp and language allowing me to express how I feel in a way that sounds beautiful. (Of course not things I write, the things other people write.)
Excellent choices!
Dude at my work has been obsessing over hedgehogs for a month now. He would wholeheartedly agree with that statement.
I am thankful for the both of you. I was introduced to vlogbrothers two years ago just before the worst two years of my life. I decided to then watch all the videos from the very first episode in 2007 to the current episode. Watching you guys succeed in doing what you enjoy gave me hope that I can also do what brings me joy. Thank you guys so much!
I'm thankful for reunion videos on vlogbrothers, and I'm thankful that you both exist and have made me into a more educated and well-rounded individual by helping me broaden my horizons of my opinions and what I understand of the world. I'm also thankful for the ability to smile and laugh, because no matter what, whenever I do either of them I feel happier, even if it's just the slightest bit. DFTBA, Nerdfighteria :)
I am thankful that despite all of the financial issues my boyfriend and I are in right now that we still have electric and internet so I can get my education. I am thankful that my one day Father-In-Law, dispute not knowing me, allowed his son and I to live with him for six months after coming from the other side of the country. I am thankful that since before my boyfriend and I got our own place that that same man has given us money. I am thankful that despite us owing him over four thousand dollars, he is not worried about being payed back and still continues to send us money so we can put food on our table and pay some of our bills.
He sounds like a great man. It's so wonderful to hear of people being supportive of their children and their children's relationships.
They both are. My boyfriend was raised to be a great man by another. I don't know how I got so damn lucky.
I am thankful for the people in my life, because they make life wonderful and awesome and sometimes a little sad (but that's ok because that is awesome that we have feelings and I am thankful for even the "bad" ones) I am also thankful that people have awesome imaginations so I can play really cool games like Portal and Borderlands.
Mark Vasko "They make life wonderful and awesome and sometimes a little sad." Well put. And well said about even the bad feelings being something to be thankful for.
I know RUclips now hates video responses, but I preemptively, on my 56th Thanksgiving, vlogged on 56 things I am thankful for. Vlogbrothers, VidCon, and Hank all made the list, among other related people & things. (I might be too involved in RUclips these days.) It was a good year. Thank you.
I am thankful to have found this wonderful community where I get the chance to meet new people who end up becoming great real life friends.
I am also thankful for my phone's ability to watch Netflix. (This was my silly one, but I really am super thankful for this.)
Dftba!
I am thankful for the fact that Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, allowing the long weekend to be more comfortably situated between the start of the school year and Christmas break.
Oh John. Just wait until 2021 when you decide to sign the entire first printing of The Anthropocene Reviewed
Serious: I'm thankful for kind and thoughtful people, in random instances, that do things that change things in a large way even for one person. Recently my sister came home from Korea. I haven't seen her in an incredibly long time and I wasn't going to be able to see her because I didn't have a way home and back. Her friend Melissa messaged me early the morning she was flying in and said she was heading down there and would drive me there and back if I wasn't busy. I was so happy I could have cried.
Silly: I'm thankful I live in Canada so I have a reasonable amount of time between my Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Serious: My baby niece who turned a year old this year, and the fact that I AM GRADUATING COLLEGE IN 2 WEEKS!
Funny: the fact that I do not have 360 degree vision, so I can pretend the mess in my room does not exist.
I have a little niece, too, so I can relate to that.
Looking behind me, I realize that I can also relate to the not-being-able-to-see-360-degrees thing. (Not gonna lie, it's a mess in here)
This entire episode is a perfect summation of John and Hank's videos this year.
Also, I'm thankful for amazing professors who have hearts and understand that mental health is an understandable reason for needing to back off of school and giving me a second chance. I'm equally grateful for my Doctor Who socks that serve as great conversation starters with strangers.
I'm thankful for microwavable food, it's really convenient, I don't know what I'd do without it. I'm also thankful for being born in a time when I can travel half way across the world to learn about people and cultures I wouldn't even know existed if I were born just a couple hundreds years earlier. I really like knowing things.
Like so many others, I'm thankful for this channel and all your other channels! Aside from inspiring me to start my own vlog and cheering me up when I'm having a bad day, you've also helped educate hundreds of thousands of viewers and significantly decrease world suck. Thank you so much!
Very sorry I am not directing this at you specifically, I love your channel but
Can you tell your companies to stop giving us (UK) black Friday, first time we've ever had it and there's already been a shopping mob. Please take it back america, we don't even have thanks giving what is this?! Oh how thankful we are that we might get killed under a stampede, such great "culture" you bless us with. Because you're so thankful for the roof over your head yet the next day you're fighting over crap you don't need whilst the homeless freeze to death outside.
again sorry needed to get that out
feel your pain. A lot (maybe even most) of us Americans hate black Friday too. :/
Mwahaha... No! America shall spread all of our culture! We will be soon taking away your free healthcare! And you'll have to pronounce aluminum "correctly!!"
We even had in here in the Czech Republic. Ridiculous. I would also really like the "Santa invasion" to stop (Santa isn't the one who brings present here but he is everywhere anyways).
I understand your frustration because black Friday promotes materialism after the day we are supposed to give thanks for all that we have and personally I hate it but
1. Hank and John cannot do anything about it, they don't control America
2. Shops in your country allowed black Friday to happen, it's not like they were forced
I am thankful for my opportunity to have an education, and the opportunity to go to university. I'm grateful for having access to clean water, and the general life I live now, as it is vastly different from where my family started off. I'm grateful for my little sister, for giving me something to live for in the times when I had none. And I'm grateful for Nerdfighteria, for helping me realize that I can change the world, and I can help make the world a better place. And for helping me realize that that's what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Also, thankful that John and Hank Green decided to make VlogBrothers, and branch out to make SciShow and Crash Course and the Pemberly Digital mini-series (LBD, Frankenstein, Emma Approved). Thank you for making the world better. DFTBA
I'm thankful that I was adopted and that there are people in the world that will eat inhumane amounts of peeps for my personal enjoyment.
I'm thankful for my parents, who puts food on the table, and pays the mortgage, and the internet bills, and who remind me to stop stressing myself out, especially my mum who, during exam period, reminds me that it's good to have naps sometimes.
I'm thankful for my education, which exposes me to so many elements I otherwise wouldn't be aware of if I didn't go to school. Also, without school, I probably wouldn't wake up as early as I should be.
I'm thankful for you, John and Hank, and for Nerdfighteria, who never fail to give me hope, reminding me that there is still an abundance of people out there who care about the world and the people and animals and things in it, reminding me that all is not lost in the hands of this generation.
And lastly, I'm thankful for nose hairs, which allow me to breathe without fear of constantly inhaling micro-organisms.
Can i buy the hoodie John was wearing. In all seriousness I'm thankful for being alive as well as internet
store.dftba.com/products/dftba-hoodie
nadiact1000 I meant the physical hoodie he wore
Peyton Ellis
Oh, that makes sense. Oops.
I am thankful for the Vlogbrothers!!! They have always been an inspiration to me, and been great role models. I aspire to be like you when I get older, and I am so glad you have been able to have such a large positive impact on my generation.
I'm thankful for consciousness and the ability to understand my place in the universe && also fried chicken. I really like fried chicken.
Man, now I really want fried chicken.
I don't want to be a schmuck or a butt-kisser, but I'm honestly so thankful for John and Hank and the whole Nerdfighter community. When I came out (or was more forced out) to my parents, it was hell for a few months in my house. I thought that who I was was wrong and had a lot of thoughts of trying to change who I am and forcing myself into someone I'm not. I honestly still have those thoughts because it's really hard to be bi and accept myself in this family. But watching all of your guy's videos helped me and continue to help me accept myself and embrace who I am. Also, John's books awoke my long buried passion of literature. I'm going to major in English in a year once I go to college. Hank's videos awoke my sense of curiosity about the world and why it works and how it works. Seriously, you two basically saved me from extreme depression and throwing my life away. Thank you so much. And now for the silly: I'm thankful for those few blessed times when you're pooping and there isn't a splash.
I am thankful that I have parents who let me live with them so I'm just an unemployed 27 year old, instead of a homeless, unemployed 27 year old.
I am also thankful that turkeys taste so good.
I'm thankful for Nerdfighteria and John and Hank! There have been numerous times that I'm just hitting a wall or in a low point in my week and stuff in previous videos by you guys have made me look at things differently or lead me to think about something a different way that helps me make my way through some not so great thoughts so... Thanks for being awesome!!!
Also I am thankful for things that fit on my head!!!
I'm thankful for being accepted to my first choice college.
congrats! I'm so happy for you!
I am genuinely thankful for the nerdfighter community. I have made and grown so many friendships that started with us having a common interest in watching your videos. Over the last 4 years nerdfighteria has been my constant even when I was in rough places or losing school friends. I am always astounded with the love in this community and genuinely I do not know where I would be if I never found it. Thank you John and Hank for starting this little project that has become my home.
There are two types of people in the world.... Those thankful that world suck is decreasing, and those who are glad that farts sound funny, otherwise, they would be just stinky noises that come out of one of your orifices.
Very nice
I'm thankful for the separation of days and nights. I'm a mom, and sometimes, when bedtime rolls around, I am so grateful that tomorrow is another day - I get to sleep for awhile, store up the ol' energy and try again in the morning. What a blessing. Life is great!
Can you do a video on the Ferguson Riots and Michael Brown case? I'm really confused and tumblr and the news media really don't help!
Sarah Fletcher
They did one for Ukraine, and that had a lot of coverage, it was just terrible coverage.
Sarah Fletcher you'd be amazed how many people find this situation difficult to understand because of all the misinformation out there.
Lori P.
Thank you, that's exactly what I'm having trouble with, I can't tell what's fact and what's media bias.
I'm thankful for the wondeful and supportive folks I've found in my new residence of Nanaimo. Meeting new people can be tough sometimes! I'm also very thankful that snow is so pretty, cause otherwise winter would really suck!
I'm thankful for someone on reddit likening Thanksgiving and Black Friday to an average weekend in Valhalla. It changes your whole outlook on the event from eating and then working horrible shifts to Feasting and then Riding Into Battle.
I'm also thankful for places like RUclips and Facebook for allowing me to regularly keep in touch with friends that I can't see in person every day.
I'm grateful for being able to have access to such an amazing community (nerdfighteria+youtube in general) that allows me to learn about fun, interesting and extraordinarily amazing people like Hank and John.
I'm also grateful for the people walking in the background during the video because they looked as if they were tiny cute creatures.
If you look at comments by Nerdfighters, the vast majority are saying things like 'they are thankful to know you.' (me too)
No one is promoting their products or any ulterior motive; we are just happy to know you and each other.
I am thankful that you and Hank are so successful this year, and I am very happy to be with my family during this time of year. I am very glad to see that you and Hank are spending the holidays together in Montana (Brotherhood 2.0 really has brought you closer together, that's wonderful). Enjoy your holidays!
I'm thankful that you recognized all of us who worked in retail on Black Friday because for some reason people forget that we who work retail are humans who have little to no control over prices, or quantity of items in our stores. Also, I'm thankful for all those kind people who take time to say nice words to others who need to hear them.
A....serious thing I'm thankful for is a group of friends who actually care for each other and are willing to accompany each other through hard ships we all face, whether it be school, family issues, the list is endless. I don't know where I would be without the support you guys give me.
A funny thing I'm thankful for is the existence of coffee. Thanks coffee, for helping me stay up to finish my art portfolio on time.
I'm thankful for you guys. As someone who's had a very rough year (the end of a 5 year relationship, an abrupt change of jobs and homes, and some health issues.) You have helped me stay focused on the positives in life, and I can never thank you both enough for what you do. That's the serious one.
I'm thankful for Games with Hank, because those just make me laugh and laugh, and I've needed that. That's the silly one, but I guess it's kinda serious too.
John, Hank, Thank you both so very very much.
I am thankful for a whole lot of things, some are obvious (friends, family, etcetera), while some are kind of personal and I'm not brave enough to talk about on the internet.
But I'm also grateful for Nerdfighteria. You guys (John&Hank, and the community as a whole) are awesome. Keep being awesome!
I'm thankful I was able to meet you while you were filming in NC! Although it was seven hours of waiting in the cold, it was so worth it!!!
I'm thankful for you guys. You guys help me a lot to cheer up when I'm sad. I'm thankful that you guys take time out of your lives to entertain and inform readers at home. I am also thankful that movie theatres smell like popcorn and yumminess instead of whatever is sticky on the floor.
I'm thankful for you guys. Everything you do is awesome, and I'm so proud to be part of the Wimbly Wombly and nerdfighteria communities. Thanks!
I'm also thankful for remote controls and air conditioning, as they make my life so much easier and more enjoyable.
DFTBA!
I (my sisters, too) am thankful that my 96-year-old Dad is still around, still healthy, sharp, and financially comfortable; and that we all enjoy hanging out together. (Maybe not as much as you guys, but still.)
I am also glad that Joe's Gourmet & Health Deli (which is neither) around the corner from me still sells Breyers Reese's Pieces ice cream in pints and Fig Newtons in one-sleeve boxes.
I'm thankful for you guys and that I found this channel 5 years ago! I could never express it in a comment, but the ways my life is better because of you two are incalculable. Thank you!
I'm thankful for the great moments I spent with my ex, despite all the difficulties we had, and I'm thankful that we were wise enough to end the relationship before we ripped eachother's heads off.
I am thankful for how much more awareness there is that people are struggling all over the world and how we can help. I am also very thankful that dftba exists so I can buy posters to the point where I don't even need to paint my room, I can just cover it with posters.
I am also super thankful the all those working in retail today and over the next few days (especially in the holiday season). Every worker I came across was extremely helpful and gracious and kind (especially considering their wages and hours), and for a stressed and tired person looking for Christmas gifts that was very very very helpful for me to stay awake and in a good mood.
I am also thankful for those weird little stores that sell organic grass-fed free range unicorn tear-laced soaps that are just sitting out in big bars and you can just pick them up and smell them and hold them and stuff. I also like how they all look like colorful assorted cheeses.
I'm thankful for you two, the vlogbrothers, because without the vlog brothers there I may not have met so many great friends at my school. Friends that keep me sane, friends that make me feel like I can be myself. Friends with so much compassion and empathy. I guess I'm thankful for my friends but I can just tell them that, no need to post it on a youtube comment. I hope that many other people find as a great community, though you or through other means.
I'm thankful for NanoWrimo, airports, and classical piano! I am also incredibly thankful for Hank, John, and Nerdfighteria in general. Thanks you guys for being so awesome!!
I'm thankful for my family, health, and finding the RUclips community (especially Nerdfighteria). I'm also thankful for cupcakes and bubble wrap.
I'm thankful for discovering you guys this year right after I started my own vlog, which has led me to so many awesome things like Tumblr and VidCon. I'm also thankful that my youngest son has the least smelly poop out of all three of my children.
I'm thankful for having two loving and supportive parents: my dad who is the only person who NEVER puts up with my crap, and my mom who keeps our family running smoothly and helps me solve everyday life problems that make me want to cry.
They also both listen to me talk about physics and calculus with these bemused looks on their faces.
I'm also thankful for gag reels, funny panels, terrible puns, and obscure geek jokes that very few people understand, because all of those things make me feel better after a frustrating day.
Some silly thinks I'm VERY thankful for: sparkly metallic star-shaped stickers, adorable stuffed animals, converse shoes, acoustic guitars, and the color red (specifically a deep, rose scarlet).
I'm thankful that I live in a time period where one single person, or a small group of people, can make a simple 4 minute video and it bring happiness and an escape for millions of people.
I am also thankful for big sweaters because, excuse me, those things are extremely comfortable.
Okay, I am going to do this even though in Australia, we don't have Thanksgiving.
Serious thing: I am thankful that you both created this channel, and started Nerdfightaria with it, because the Nerdfighter community has done so much, and made the world a much much much better place. Thank you.
Silly Thing: I am thankful for oxygen. Without it, I wouldn't be writing this comment right now.
This is quite late, but I am thankful for you guys. For giving me people to look up to and respect and always having a positive attitude. I'm thankful for your willingness to accept everyone into the community and making this such a great place to be.
I'm also thankful for pillows. They're great :D
I am thankful for the community provided by nerdfighteria and other fandoms. I have social anxiety so it can be hard for me to connect with people and make friends irl. The Internet makes it a little easier, whether it is to be able to watch a youtuber or make a new friend and overall I just feel happier and less alone :3 💙
I'm thankful that john loves to sign posters! And I'm also thankful the all the amazing ladies that I get to spend my time with at cavalette practice. Have a great weekend RUclips!
I am thankful for the internet for allowing me to connect with so many awesome people and experience looking at the world from so many different perspectives. And I am thankful for younger siblings like Hank (and myself) who aim to keep it light and make people laugh.
I am thankful for this year. I feel like there happened so much, and I met so many new people through young friends of the earth, I had a heartbreaking spring, awesome festival summer and hard working fall. I learned to be okay, and I have experienced having a purpose and place. and also thinking back it is is fascinating how much I learned in and outside of school. the year before I was very lost, and the next year I am graduating and applying for Uni. In short it has been a good, eventful year. I am also thankful for chocolate, it is tasty, and a simple yet very satisfying default-suprice/gift/price and possibly one of my greatest motivators.
I am thankful for the friends that I have friends that don't understand my proud support of a community called Nerdfighteria or my quest to find more Nerdfighters or convert others into Nerdfighter yet they still support me and don't look at me too funny.
I am also thankful for LOVE. Humans capability to love one other
Hello nerdfighteria. I don't know what was so special about today but this marks my transition from a long time vlogbrothers et al. lurker (at least a couple of years, can't be sure) into someone who is actually capable and willing to comment on stuff. DFTBA.
I'm thankful for being in a better place (mentally) and for video games
I'm thankful to say I'm finally on the road to happiness after struggling with anxiety, OCD, and depression for the past two years. I'm thankful for my family and friends who have stayed by my side in my battle even though I can be a pain in the ass. I'm thankful for finally feeling okay with myself :). Anyone that struggles with a mental illness, it does get better!
I am thankful for all the people I've met, online and off, in the past few years who have made my life so much better and helped me understand myself and grow as a person. I'm thankful that I was wrong when I thought I would always be alone, and I'm thankful that there are so many great people out there who I haven't met yet.
I'm also thankful for pie.
I'm thankful for you guys doing really amazing things all of the time, like writing and making videos of all kinds. The fact that you two can balance doing all of these things to make the world sucktitude go smaller is wonderful. Also for the internet

I'm thankful for fandoms (nerdfighteria, supernatural, walking dead, pretty much any nerdy thing I am into) for giving me the biggest family I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. And also body pillows. Cuz when you are single, sometimes you need something to cuddle with.
I am thankful for my wonderful husband who supports me through all my weird ideas.
And I am thankful for gas stations being open on Thanksgiving because I had to go to work, and didn't have any mt dew, and was NOT going to make it through without one.

Serious thing: That I have my GAD under control for the most part. When i was a teenager I couldn't function most days and nobody understood why as there wasn't as much awareness back then. But thanks to things like SciShow, there is now and people are more understanding of such conditions. SILLYTHING: I am thankful for when our store managers surprise us with pizza in the breakroom on Black Friday! Stress GONE! :P
I love John's reactions and non-reactions to some of the things Hank is grateful for.
I am most thankful for my Dad. Last year he was diagnosed with brain cancer and after surgery, gamma knife, chemo and radiation, and then more chemo; he was finally able to go back to work which I am beyond grateful for. Though, I'm also thankful for stickers, which come in a pretty close second.
I am thankful that John and Hank make these awesome videos! Thank you guys for being you!
I am thankful that I've gone over a year without feeling so depressed I couldn't get out of bed and I'm thankful for my new bookcase. It's so big and there is so much more room for my books!
I'm thankful for music and how much it has impacted my life, especially throughout high school.
I'm also incredibly thankful for fuzzy socks.
I'm thankful for having found a lot of absolutely awesome people this year, including Hank, John and Nerdfighteria, but also some people of my school, who are good friends now.
