Hey, Goran! Just wanted to point out that this sort of race presentation in terms of pace, duration, distance and map is just insanely entertaining! Can you please share some info on the type of editing software you use or the camera model you are using since I recently bought a GoPro Hero 8 and your videos have been an incredible motivation to film various hike routes and present them in a similar manner?
Hey! Thanks for the positive feedback that makes me very happy to hear! I use a Insta 360 ONE X 2 but a GoPro will for sure work great for these kind of videos as well. I use VIRB Edit from Garmin to create the graphic overlay and then I use Adobe Premiere Pro for the rest of the editing (but any editing software would work).
I know exactly how races like these are. It rains SO much where I live, and I run cross country. This means that I know how hard these can be. Great job man. You did very good.
Hi Goran ! Greetings from sunny Australia !! I just wanted to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for the New Year. Thank you for indefatigable online encouragement during the course of the last 12 months. It's been much appreciated.
Hi Goran I got to say you ran a lot faster than most of those who run at my home parkrun when it was flooded. Great finishing time look forward to watching more of your video's and races.
That generally looks like the funest race ive seen, i'd love to do that just don't really have or know about races like that near me. Saying that i would be interested know what shoes you ran in?
Tough stuff! well done! I did Gjørmløpet 2019 and I accidentally fell into the brook/water 5:38 . Later I could not feel my toes.. it was so cold that year.
Great videos Göran, I’ve gone through your whole year now in just a couple of days 😊Especially like this format, you should consider adding your heart rate to these videos if possible
I live basically next to the Peak District in the UK. 'Peak' district is a very misleading name, the highest mountains in the national park are just massive peat bog plateaus. Running across them is so much fun and the fell races up there are always guaranteed to be exciting. As you said it's such good training to do this sort of running.
I was looking for inspiration to go running out in the wet weather and all I did was open up RUclips and this video popped up. I didn't even search for anything. God heard my thoughts! I think that this video is a sign. Off I go!
Same experience at PACAR 2019 Race in sabah that I join last 2 year😆😆almost no run , just walk on hill+ muddy+ along the route. May be 80% walk 10% run
Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking of doing a video about that in the future, but all interval around lactate threshold pace is for sure good training for a 5k.
Nice running route :) just curious how did you managed to put those running data (pace/distance/time...) on screen? Is it some go-pro cam feature plus sport watch feature or heavy video editting...?
Yeah I was surprised by that as well I think part of it is that I learned a bit about the technique you needed to run in the deepest part from the first lap.
I’ve been trying to create a race like this in my hometown(Fairbanks Alaska)! It’s hard to get permission because people are worried about adverse effects to the marsh
This video is PERFECTION 😘👌! But seriously, how much did your sneakers stink for the swamp odour and how did you get it off or do you keep them as a token of victory never be washed 😆. A video how you maintain your equipment would be interesting to see 👍 Maybe one day you sell the right to present the videos in regular TV to NRK, SVT or YLE or all of them. Easiest might be Svenska YLE 🤔
Thanks, really glad you liked it! Haha yeah should probably take better care of my gear than I do 😅. Honestly I think I prefer RUclips to old school tv since we can reach way more people here and I can have full creative freedom.
@@goranwinblad I totally agree with the point of RUclips! I don't even own a TV 😆. However the point what I was trying to make was: RUclips has short memory. TV has longer and totally different audience, so why not take advantage out of you OLD videos. I don't mean you should give up the rights. I mean you sell rights to present the videos for a certain time period (e.g. rights for SVT to present your videos between 2022 and 2027). You know, just like TV is buying the right for some American TV series or rights to present sport event. It doesn't mean you have to privatise the videos from RUclips since it's totally different media and one would probably have to change the media to fit in certain formats (e.g.time). Anyway, it was just an idea how you could possibly make a passive income from and I don't know the process at all, but this is a seed for your brain to process it and maybe you can benefit out of it or have a different one for you benefit. Anyway FABILOUS JOB! 👍
Oh my goodness, that race looks AWESOME!! I hope to do races like that someday. There's just not much like that here in the US. We do have the Barkley Marathons here in the US, only a few hours from where I live. Have you heard of that race? Seems like the kind of hardcore thing you would like :)
@@goranwinblad Oh nice, didn't know that. Something knew to know in new year. Happy new year, Göran, all the best, soft legs and easy, flying kilometers! I am runner, too. As majority of folks here :D But also i am organizer of cross country race with so long tradition. It's calling "New year Ibar cross country" on 16th January this year. If you interested for 2022 edition or any in near future, try something new, visit some new places, place where all 7 serbian kings were crowned - city of Kraljevo, you can answer me here and then we'll get in touch.

It's a pleasure to watch videos like this!
Thanks, glad you liked it 😀
You adding the running data making it look like a game blows my mind. Such a pleasure to watch!
Awesome. I’m still in the mindset where I hate wet feet while running 🤣I’ve gotta fix that by running a race like this.
Haha yeah the trick is to get them wet early and then you don’t care anymore 😅
You beat my PB by running in a marsh whilst I was running on the flat put right to shame lol
I know exactly how races like these are. It rains SO much where I live, and I run cross country. This means that I know how hard these can be. Great job man. You did very good.
Thank you for introducing your friends and also for the so intense competition, congratulations you always exceed expectations…
Cheers from NYC
Thanks Daniel! 😊
What a crazy-fun-hard race! Well done on this race! You really pushed it and ran great.
Thanks Chad 😊
Started watching your videos a month ago, and I really enjoy them! They are so inspiring and well made! Keep up the great work, it is awesome!
Thanks, that makes me very happy to hear, thanks for commenting 😀

Hey Steve thanks for your nice comment makes me very happy to read! I wish you a happy new year as well 😊
This looks awesome! I can imagine that when you start to lose speed you get exponentially slower since you get stuck and so on.
Yeah it was a really cool race for sure, haha yeah exactly that made it super tough and you needed to keep your momentum as good as possible.
Amazing video! Such a cool race and the commentary was top notch. Really good result :) Such good motivation!
Thanks Rudi 😊
I loved watching this, thank you for another great video Göran!!
Thanks Edie, that makes me very happy to hear! 😊
The race through the swamp looks very cool !
Just subscribed 🙌🏽 about to start racing soon after a long 5 years of reaching 6,000 miles in the next two weeks! Thanks for the content!
That looked like so much fun!!!

Ok cool to hear Mathias, yeah I heard about it being super cold that year this year it wasn't to bad. 😊
What a great race! I'm amazed that no-ones shoes got sucked off!!
Yeah it was super fun! Haha I guess we were lucky that didn't happened😅

Cool to hear this video helped you get out there hope you had a great run Amanda!
The wettest 5k I've done was in a lake ;)
Awesome job!

How Göran still is faster than most people on 5k and probably not far from PBs of faster normal runners.
Legend!!!
Haha thanks 😊
LOL thats faster then I run 5k on the road.. good shit man
Now, thats a race ! 😀
Haha yep! 😅
Great race/video. I’m inspired to find a marsh.
Thanks! Ok cool good luck with your marsh running 😊
just seems brutal jeez. I had a race where a good portion was really muddy, but this is just crazy.
Looks like alot of fun
It for sure was 😃
You are a good sport Goran second place is a good place lol great work out 💪🏼
Thanks 😊
Good effort!
Thanks!
epic.. love these race videos! :)
Thanks Nick and thanks for the nice drone shot in the intro 😀
Awesome video! Do you have any tips or training workouts you can recommend to improve 5k time?
Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking of doing a video about that in the future, but all interval around lactate threshold pace is for sure good training for a 5k.
Hi Goran did you ever hear of the the "Barkley marathons" Maybe it will be a nice challenge for you. ^_^
awesome video, GREAAAT idea... do these, film, post and you will have a great niche and im sure a ton more followers!
Thanks! Yeah more of these FPV running race videos coming in the future 😊
Fantastic run, wonder if flexible souled minimalist footwear would make it easier as you can "feel" the ground and get better balance?
Wow such a fun track
Yeah it was! 😁
Man behöver bara kolla på filmen så får man känslan av fötter som simmar runt i skor! Grymt!
Cool video :) Would like to know ur clothing setup for wet weather conditions from aprox 0 - 5 degree Celsius :) Thanks
Look like you conquered some really rough terrain, congrats! But didn't it feel gross, have to run while squelching in wet shoes?
Congrats on this great race. Would like to see your heart rate as well :)
Thanks and thanks for the suggestion, will ad that in the next race video!
härligt race :D
Nice running route :) just curious how did you managed to put those running data (pace/distance/time...) on screen? Is it some go-pro cam feature plus sport watch feature or heavy video editting...?
Hi! The data overlay is made with garmin virb editing software.
Didn't expected a negative split on this one!
Yeah I was surprised by that as well I think part of it is that I learned a bit about the technique you needed to run in the deepest part from the first lap.
🙌🏻
I think that this was really entertaining 😀
Thanks, glad to hear!
My 5k PB is 23:37 min :D
Great video, as always!
Thanks 😀
Sadly no marshes in London, or at least ones that aren't protected! Just going to have to get my sessions in on the track and hills...
The track and the hills isn't that bad either, for sure not as muddy and cold at least 😅 hope you get some great runs in 😊
I’ve been trying to create a race like this in my hometown(Fairbanks Alaska)! It’s hard to get permission because people are worried about adverse effects to the marsh
Ok cool to hear, ok I understand, hope you get to do it in a way that doesn't harm the nature, it's for sure tough but a lot of fun!
