    My Grandparents moved from BC to PEI in the 90s..my grandmother woke up and found the neighbor borrowing some coffee and got told by Sears/Bay that they would need to order in a door lock because Charlottetown didn't stop them.

      @burnyizland 2 года назад +3

      WT actual F? I grew up in a small town on the West coast and we never locked our doors but that is a step too far, good grief. I woulda gone Home Alone style until the lock arrived had that ever happened to me.
      ... and now I'm questioning every time I've seen a tchochke out of place in my house... O_0 I don't think I'm gonna sleep tonight!

      That's crazy that the Sears/Bay said that. Your grandparents must have been a bit shaken up. I would definetly want a lock

    First time I came to Canada was to visit my girlfriend in Halifax. I had a job interview in Dartmouth. I took the Ferry then wasn't sure where to go. A guy passing by asked me if I was lost. I said I was. My poor english helped him understand I wasn't from around. He called me a cab, told the cab where I wanted to go. Then the cab was super friendly. He couldn't find the place right away, so he stopped the meter while we were touring the industrial area. Then at the company, it turned out the job wasn't for me, but before letting me go, the HR manager picked up the phone and called a few of his colleagues in other companies for me to get interviews there. Unreal! I miss the East coast so much. It's not that friendly in the Prairies.

    😂When our sons in western Canada while they are only in junior high school class get visited by a neighbor looking for more recruits into the military and then next while hate mail flyers are being put into everyone's mailboxes and then to top it all off at the same time our sons are being offered a jobs in Nova Scotia before they graduate then we mothers know something is up and it isn't good. Thankfull there is already enough security cameras around for us Canadians to avoid that sort of thing.

    • @burnyizland
      @burnyizland 2 года назад +2

      What are you on about now Fanny? What is it 'you mothers' know? If you're trying to say something say it plain English.
      So a few bad experiences = BC bad? Do you think anyone is judging Nova Scotia like that because of that evil dentist who went on a rampage? That would be ludicrous.

      There's a true story behind it, but the truth is much different than the movie. In reality, they only received threatening letters. Although they lost around 1/4 million dollars on the home when they finally sold it. No one was ever caught for sending the letters.
