I've been waiting for years for the 360 homebrew/mod scene to wake up. I really hope some dev actually starts to happen soon. This looks like it's a possible start.
I hope it picks up more that the store is closed, but I still think that it might not unless there is an easier way to exploit the console. Historically, the consoles that are easiest to install an exploit, usually have the best homebrew/mod scene. Wii, Xbox, PSP, Dreamcast....they've always been the best because you don't need to open the console and solder something in to use homebrew.
tbh looking at some of the dev stuff the 360 mod scene never really died for all intents and purposes, they just couldnt distribute anything without Microsoft stomping down within 5 minutes or less
Since all console manufacturers trying to get rid of physical copies and making everything subscription based from now on, so I’m with the modding community.
There are some exploita Microsoft hasn't patched that can probably give us a softmod. I am not in the Xbox 360 scene, but I do know that Test Drive, Farcry 4 need for speed most wanted and fight night round 3 have exploits that may be able to get us to a softmod. @@MrMario2011

Hell even the original Xbox needed a hard mod until a couple months ago, sure there were other soft mods before a couple months ago but that project tore down a barrier holding modders back for decades. What I do not have hope for modding is the Xbox one consoles because to this day there hasn't been a hack/mod for them, yet the PS4 and switch get hacked left and right. So maybe you're right, maybe Microsoft just makes it harder for their consumers to modify their consoles and we may never get a USB jailbreak for the 360.

This is great, no more searching and downloading, just install the script and go. Still need to update a lot on my JtaG. Also me x360 slim stopped working (it a design flaw i saw, something witch a compasitor behind the on/off button) out of nowhere..... Xbox 360 is and still is a great system but the hardware is a whole different story.

@@MrMario2011 It technically is, but is disabled through the settings of which I have forgotten how to set, since I did'ty do myself but had someone else do for me, and since i was trying to go for a Tron-themed console case mod, they changed the LEDs to blue and I've wanted to replace the boot-up screen with the Tron Logo
Actually ISOs need to work but it won't because I tried BO2 and that didn't work and I guarantee if I try another actual Xbox 360 game it wouldn't work so MAYBE GOD 2 ISO will work
Hopefully this means maybe we can get closer for a softmod for the 360 because I would absolutely burn down my house if I ever picked up a soldering iron!
@@MrMario2011 I discovered a way to get past the discontinued message, the problem is the videos won’t play, but my guess is if I take the version string from the Xbox 1 version it might work again
It is technically possible just a pain in the ass to get around, I'm sure there's a bigger incentive now that the store closed, tho you're better off just buying a hard modded system at this point
Everyone call Microsoft support and complain about store shut down. If enough people call we can get it turned back on till the end of the year possibly

Mr Mario, if obtaining archievements through homebrew applications or backed up games from HDD/RGH with a Live account leads to a ban if you try to link it up again... All i have to do is never link up that versión of my account to Live services and keep it as a offline copy only?
Research was done on this years ago, thankfully! In short, your profile can remain "clean" if you NEVER run homebrew on it. So boot up a game through your launcher, log into account, play, and sign out before you go back to any homebrew.

Mr mario , i have sad news , my xbox 360 rgh is giving me a turn on sound but no boot , i have tried different hdmi plugs and power supplies , everything was working fine and it just gave out after i tried to turn it on , it gave me the green light ring but no boot

Edit: this also happens with the retroarch emulator only emu that worked (i didnt test every one) is the snes one but also after like 3-4 failed attemps Edit 2: ive found out that it actually also doesnt let me download normal things like FFplay :( same bug

I believe it'll only be possible when we're all incredibly old. Hypervisor is still in place and we don't have retail signing.

Where do I get aurora repo browser version 2? My version 1 won`t update at all, though it sees an update, just does not apply it.
Mine has been like that for a while I believe, nothing special I've done. Just kept Aurora up to date and my systems on my network.

The most accurate way to diagnose is to flash stock NAND to the console with a programmer, then boot it up to pull the error code and research it.

Any online console out there has a ban risk associated with with it, Just have to be a bit more aware on Xbox 360.
