      This woodworking book is absolutely comprehensive, *www.WoodPlanner. xyz*
      It breaks every little thing down, using words, drawings, real photos, and different diagrams. It is incredibly informative and helps me feel like I can help my brother while we make our furniture together. .

    I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.

  • @josephkrug8579
    @josephkrug8579 3 года назад +3

    I would worry that with that long of a hose for a shop vac that you would lose most of the suction. That is why for my 'small shop' i went bigger with a laguna 14-12 and just have dual 4" quick connect hoses off of it that can reach all my tools. That way no log runs of hose and the hepa filtration takes care of the fine particles, and the built in cyclone keeps the bigger stuff in the bin. More expensive, yes...much much better hepa dust collection though.

  • @dgpuig45

    Rob, that is a neat and efficient setup. I've watched many videos on shop setups and builds. What I can tell your audience is that work shops are divided into many aspects. I do some welding, auto mechanics on my own vehicles, woodworking builds, plumbing on my house, electrical and electronics and appliance repairs, mine. You can name it and I'll attempt to do it especially with the help of youtube videos. What I can say about these convertible tools is that they are fine if one is not building stuff for mass production.

    Any tips on humidity control?

    • @rockler
      @rockler  4 года назад

      If a shop is in an enclosed garage, basement or shed where the ambient air in the shop can be controlled, one of the best ways to reduce humidity is to use an ordinary dehumidifier during summer months. A window air conditioner can also serve the same function (drying the air) while also lowering temperature to make the shop space more pleasant to work in on hot days. It's beneficial to know what the relative humidity is in a woodworking shop, regardless of whether you use a dehumidifier or air conditioner. Buy a hygrometer (often a feature included with electronic thermometers) and put it up in the shop where it's not close to a door or window. It will provide moisture readings in percentages. Try to keep your shop's indoor humidity around 50 percent or less, if possible. Doing that will go a long way toward controlling rust and helping to keep wood dry.

      seal door cracks and windows well (or noise cancelling window film etc.). And pick up some noise canceling curtains, noise cancelling sheet rock set up, or the acoustic panels to install on wall. Sound needs ta bounce off of hard stuff so reduce that.
