Mr. Ben, you’re smiling like the Joker. The excitement you show is hard to contain. We all know the feeling of opening up a shiny new orange box that has just arrived from shipping. Like a true hobbyist, you tossed the instructions aside.
Beautiful Ben, thanks for sharing! Love your excitement! I love NYC stuff as my late wife worked for New York Central Mutual Insurance Company for a long time. NYCM was named after the NYC railroad that went through the town where they are located.
LOVE THE NEW TRAIN SMELL!!!! Trust me, I know that wonderful feeling ALL TOO WELL!! Orange Box Goodness!! I ordered the Christmas set + all the passenger cars, and I also may order the NY Central set as well!!

i got an MTH O-scale R-12 NYC subway set (slightly used) ... shortly after i got it, MTH went out of business !! ... NOW, these things are rare - & parts are SUPER rare !!
You make a great point about colors. The fantasy trains sells well because of the colors. Yeah unfortunately for those who can't afford new will no longer be able to buy cheaper on the Ebay market used or new. I will check out your live stream when I get a chance sometime.

They look good my man, BUT I only run Lionel trains around the Christmas tree (usually 3 loops). The cost doesn't equal 3-4 weeks of running. Have fun 👍🏼

Love that you got a new item for your collection. Just notice your channel, I will be checking you out in the future. I believe you are modeling on your floor. Not for sure if this is going to be a new way of modeling, is this temporary?
If there is sound in each locomotive the sounds must be distinct, or they will mute or cancel each other out. Someone at Lionel will have to record and edit more audio of real E8 s.
Lionel has done this before. I’ve got a Santa Fe F3 A-B-B-A set from 2018. The powered A and powered B both have the same sound set (the Superbass B has a totally different sound set) but they tuned the two differently/slightly different pitches so there wouldn’t be that resonance. The set sounds fantastic.
That is a beautiful engine, however for the money they charge, I would like a little more detail. Example ...these are much better looking and have more detail than there anniversary set...go figure. I have a Lionel legacy Santa Fe #19 with impeccable detail.
Question , do they come with the center cabless engine That goes between the two engines???
