It is completely foolish to say that Diwali came to Hinduism from Jainism. Those who know about Jainism properly know that Jainism is the principle of believing that even lighting a lamp should not cause the death of an insect. Therefore, in the past, even the practice of lighting lamps was not common among Jains. Apart from that, whether it is their own dispute whether it originated from Buddhism or Jainism, they have to settle that it has nothing to do with Hinduism. But if you ask them some questions, they will answer because Buddha's principles are only Buddhism, if you ask how Buddha came to worship idols and temples in that Buddhism, they will not answer.
