Pro Evolution Soccer 2018[a] is an upcoming sports video game developed by PES Productions and published by Konami for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.[1] The game is the 17th installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series and is scheduled to be officially released on 12 September 2017.
Konami has kept with the theme of the previous release and also announced a special "Barcelona Edition" as part of its press release made on 16 May 2017. Konami also announced pre-order bonus content for digital downloads and physical disc versions. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool were confirmed as being officially licensed at E3 2017, FC Schalke 04 and the Brazilian National Football Team are licensed too, the France National Football Team was confirmed in the Online Beta.[2]

I'm a 20 years PES fan, and usually can only 5 match of highest difficulty per day. You have to focus so hard on it to be able to win. If you try to "have fun" for just 5 minute, the AI will punish you so bad. You must avoid giving them any chance from 0 to 90 minutes of in-game time. It's the only way you can win. Leading 3-0 can be turned by the AI very quickly, you have to stay sharp the whole match. That's why I can only play 5~10 match a day as it very exhausting.

I've beaten Legend level numerous times and by these numerous times I also failed to beat them more. It wasn't easy at all especially defending wise. Sometimes it depends on which team you're choosing and who you're playing against makes it differ... Real Madrid is the best team in the game, play against a team that doesn't play counter attack makes it easier for you to defend (ex : fc barcelona). The problem is their players are always running faster than your players, and switching players while defending must be really fast, accurate and MANUAL using the right analogue. Cuz if you press L1 the AI will make you switch to the wrong player and then they've a wide area and can easily score... also you have to use all ways of defending like pressing on them by different players and holding the square button while you are controlling a player in the front just like in the skills training menu... try these defending ways in the "skills training", Master them and then try them against Legend level you will definitely feel the difference. Satanas :v use R1 & R2 together, it allows you to manually control the player to intercept. Its called "Super Cancel". Its still extremely difficult though

its not fucking worth it. 69 rated guy shooting better than gerrard on his prime is just bullshit. guy with 61 passing doing 30 yard outer-foot one touch type of pass to put another piece of shit through on goal is just useless. and pes's dogshit player animation physics that lets the defender magically cut my attacker's speed with literally infinite decelarating speed with using one hand, pushing him back to boost himself forward my guy almost at 0 speed and doesnt even get a foul because pes doesnt have fucking logic. 70 rated players doing ronaldinho tricks. every player having infinite energy so the opposition's forwards can run like robots during my build up, so i dont have possession comfort even when defending because w guys step on my center back without 1 per cent fatigue. im fucking done with pes

I play PES since 2004 and this is the most hardest difficulty I've ever experienced but the thing is that it feels unnatural. See what happens if you increase ability of your players because I think that was Konami does for AI at this level. It's like come on Ronaldo can't be slower than damn defender from Dinamo Kiev !

Players in PES, always pass like they are Ronaldinho... Plus, speed is broken in this game.

I can't even say how disappointed I am I want my money back!! Back in the days 6 stars level was difficult but without AI cheating. Those developers can't understand squad about soccer !! I always say that PES is better than FIFA but now FIFA has much more natural feeling than this sucker !!!!

You're often move your defender out from their position, use your midfielder to defend, you keep dribling the ball for too long without passing, avoid passing with tight angle that might cause unbalance and error or to a narrow opening the opponent can quickly close it down. Fix these and you might beat legendary someday.

i have played pes since iss pro 98, almost 20 years, and this game was gold when it first came out. i played it a level below legend for a season until i never lost so went up to legend... now a few things have happened, one thing is the updates... they have made a great game slow and not fun... but the legend level i believe is not a level playing field, if you give the team half a chance they will bury it, play Real Madrid and unless your on your ninth coffee you have no chance cause you just cant play it half hearted. iv persevered on legend but i dont find it fun much now, you get bundled off the ball so easily, the opposition players are all like a field full of Kante's when you have the ball, big strong defenders getting shoved off the ball by Danny Ings or smaller players. its a joke. and as always any tricks are impossible..

The PES problem is that it does not increase AI (above the professional level) but in reality improves the "ratings" of its players and your handicap (especially in the mobile version - which I deleted). The first defense and reflexes of "human" players are slow and bad, while the computer works in nanosecond.
Jovan Pejic so goddamn true, PES has always relied on negative feedback loops to cheat it's way to win in player vs cpu matches. Like goalkeepers diving the correct way before my players shot animation has even finished or making your player take an extra touch or delay so the CPU defender can get in a last second shot block. Every time the computer cheats I end up penalizing it, if it cheats, then next time the comp team is through on goal I take control of their player and put it out for a throw in. If their goalie starts making telepathic saves then I swap their goalkeeper for a striker.
It feels unnatural, the passes, physical contact, speed... It just doesn't click, I'm getting FIFA18, but I do know that is not much better...

I love this difficulty, call it unnatural, unrealistic, unfair all you want. Is the IA going all out against your skills, you can win if you have skills and experience in the game.
The CPU cheats, no excuses for cheating, Konami should learn how to do a proper realistic difficulty, every time Konami tries to make something flow naturally in PES, it makes the game incredibly unnatural and cringey, like the passes, every time is a one touch pass, and a lot, just a lot of trick passes, that is not how it goes on a professional soccer field, except for some players that can do that kind of thing on a regular basis. PES18 has many flaws, that's not the problem, the problem is that they are unforgiving flaws for a soccer (sports), game.

I finally made a row..have made with barça vs real-chelsea-juve-atlmadri-arsenal in a row first time..i'm with a headache and eyes trembling, i have play all PES-WInning with passion, and this is so far the most difficult IA, in no cheat at all (in 2013 or 2014, IA very frequent score with a Foul in 6 star i have already receive 5 gols in faults vs cpu) and this AI is different , somehow AI anticipates the play and induce errors in attack, its amazing ! its like a CPU DATA learning in years of PES pro plays, its really a PRO Evolution...i'm perplexed

The problem is Super Star is too easy but when you feel you need a challenge and change it to Legend, it is like 100x harder not even exaggerating.

All those time dominating Fifa on legendary mode with CPU CUSTOMIZATION and dominating friends all gone by Playing Pes 18 in legend Mode
One time i was winning 2-0 in legend mode but when the match ended scoreline was 2-4

That legend difficulty is like every brazilian online player on PES 2017.
I found that the beest tactic to beating this is just shooting on a strong Player. Since I can't even go close to the box I try to sneak a pass to Ronaldo on the left and cut in slowly, then I shoot. A year too late but it still works
You cant do fast passes against legendary ai. You have to trick them and pass the ball when they commit if they don then take couple more jogs and push up front. Also don't be afraid to commit and do a slide tackle to break up the play or stop a certain run or goal.
Final tip, run at the edge of the field, this allows u to push up when they try to take the ball off you (they will tackle and it will be a corner, high chance it will be yours) then use throw ins to get closer to their side. Set pieces are your friend.
Ok, here's the thing. This AI gameplay is scripted. You know why? There are freaking OPTIONS! if you're finding how to win difficult, read the AI gameplay, go to game plan, and choose the best options to fight back. That's how you play PES. Sometimes, it's just a matter of changing formations, and other times, you have to defend wide or aggressive or something. Just exploit these options and winning will come naturally.

You need to play the easy ball way more rather than trying the hard ball to create an opportunity, keep possession & wait for the right opening, they can't punish you if they can't get the ball... play it around the midfield, play it back to the defence, slow the game down to your pace and you choose when to put the foot on the gas... it looks to me that you played to their tempo and that forced you to get the ball forward as quick as possible...
A good few easy goals given away due to losing the ball too easy. PES has made some great games the last few years!
Wow thank you for this video man, I was super mad and angry at this game because as I feel the game is cool in many ways I couldn't win a game so far in legend. Last PES I played "seriously" was PES 6 and since then none of the games felt good to me. This one was, but I thought I could play in the most dificult level as I always did.
I don't know if this Legend difficulty is something new or what but it feels super unfair, I thought it was me but I guess it's just unfair. I can keep the ball 75/80% of the game, create my chances but no matter what, CPU will just score almost everytime he gets the ball.
Also it does not feel consistent. I played Barça-Madrid back-to-back and one game was a good (but super hard) 1-2 (I lost) but the other one was 12-0 for no reason at all. CPU was just doeing perfect passes and shots, unforgiving in all my mistakes and super frustrating.
I've been checking forums and videos and it's good to see it's not only me. Maybe I should try to lower the difficult and see if it can be more fun.

2. Doing dribbling trick never work against CPU
3. Fucking unreal CPU interception (especially by CPU forward)
4. Fake long range CPU shooting
5. CPU forward can like dribble around 12 players then shoot the far corner with np
Everyone here discussing on how PES AI is unbeatable, while I'm just thinking how can one play any other mode than multiplayer in a football game. I stopped playing with AI like freaking 10 years ago... guys. It is pathetic, computer will always beat you, and there is no point in challenging yourself vs a robot. Play against humans, online or simply invite your friends to your house, have some snacks, pizza, drink some beer and have fun... for god's sake, it seems so obvious to me, I can't even look at you play with this dumbass computer AI

It’s easy to attack him though why people makes it so hard legend difficulty already lost 30 times against me if you know how to attack and defend your goal at the same time he won’t be able to shoot 7 times at your goal
How to attack then?
Well the trick is just leave your controller for a bit time and let players arrange automatically, analyse the game and then switch to the player where the AI is going to pass..........you can beat them even without using skills if you use tiki taka

Legendary is not harder than superstar, realized that is the same COM difficult, your players AI are lower that's why its dificult or there's lots of mistakes from them during the game. Its a cheap dificult

its not about the hardness of that legendary level ! but the scukess of PES 2018 i mean there are many horibale mistakes in the game......the players reaction is very slow & the movement with the ball are sucks you can't even change the direction all you can do is passing & if you don't pass so quick the opponent will take it from you in a flash
This difficulty is just way too unrealistic, scripted and painful to play against, i've beaten it a few times (beat them 3-0 once) but it's not fun, all their player stats magically get buffed up and it's unfair.
all I saw was a team intercepting 30m passes and playing from there... do you really play on lower levels like this?.... or trying to defend a ball from a 3 opponents pressure?.....sad...

After some real effort, I started my master league in super star, the I moved to legend, now I'm controlling teams like juventus, still a bad defending is a sure goal. Hang in there, once you know how to work with their handicap you are back in business, truth is you will crush in online gaming.
I'm a hardcore AC MILAN Fan so... I always play AC Milan team :).. I gotta admit that.. I tried legend difficulty .. against Real Madrid and I got lost for like 3 times in a row but not big loss for like example (me 1 VS Real Madrid 2 , me 0 VS Real Madrid 1) after that.. I tried for the 4th time.. and I won Real Madrid 2-1 with AC MILAN on Legend Difficulty (^.^)! damn.. I felt soo awesome :D the 2 goals was from Suso ;)

I've played PES 06 - PES 14, its only since FIFA 15 I've started FIFA,, to be real honest I still believe PES is much realistic as it is more of a simulation than just a game... And from my experience the difficulty level of FIFA is nothing compared to PES... playing legendary on PES is not game its a fuckin JOB... I've won multiple times on legendary in fifa but the best I ever did on legendary in PES was 1-0 win, that too with penalty and one man advantage.
Ive beatin them many times... im not lying when the first time i always lose against legend team. But... now i know how to defeat them. Practice more! My last match against legend 4-2 i won. In first half they lead 2-0 in only 30min i wont gv up. I tried to stay calm. N i score 4goals lol. 1goal in first half. 3 goal in the 2nd half. Dnt lost ur concentration. Dnt get mad when they score in strange ways (it always happen when i watch ppl playing vs legend). I suggest u to use 3-4-1-2. Change Ur fullback as lmf n rmf. In front change 1 of ur strikers as second striker.
PES 2018 and FIFA 2018 are basically fighting games in disguise and definitely the worst fighting games ever cos the referee is AI so it will always be biased towards itself :D You get fouled, kicked, punched in the face and you get nothing. Also in Legendary mode, you kinda get the impression that AI players travel faster than the ball and the minute you think about passing the ball to a key player they will always be one who will appear out of nowhere and nick the ball. The only good thing about these games is that it teaches you to be as good as Maradona in terms of hitting crossbars ... I wish I could travel in time and prevent myself from spending money on these fiascoes !!!
playing PES 2018 on Android now , so naturally I have had to build my team. My team stands at a 3 star rating but playing against Top Player/Superstar COM level even against a one star team is unrealistic and mad difficult. It makes absolutely no sense, some tier 3 defender tackles Fabregas like a sunday league player and my players automatically become sluggish to respond and clear balls. If this is PES's idea of "making it real" it stupid , frustrating and should be changed. Their professional level is more Acceptable
Pes players Complaining alot that Superstar was so simple . So Pes silence them with Legendary. lol try playing barcelona in their home now thats the real deal. i tried improving my players ability to 100 full squad but still.... i was just able to score only from trying my luck shooting outside the box because they didn't give me any chance at all . this Legendary is keeping 24/7 Trying to beat them .
You just needed more practice. There are so many things I would have done differently both in possession and on defence in order to limit the AI’s chances. Barcelona just didn’t seem to suit your playstyle...whipping crosses in with Suarez towards Messi and trying to play directly through the midfield.
The number of times you tried to just get it straight to Suarez when he already had a defender approaching behind him was slightly frustrating to watch. Just play backwards and create vertical width before trying to play to the front three. Honestly it isn’t that difficult.
In my opinion, until you prove that the in-game individual player stats are changed, i dont give this any credit. Starting by your mood while comentating, this looks like a naive comedy video instead a gameplay review. Apart of that, i didnt saw any puskas award goal. The firminos one was almost inside of the box, and if you win 5.0 you should get at least 1 goal of the weeks top 5. You play very bad in my opinion, many wrong decisions... countless times you could pass the ball deeply ahead of ur side backs and be in good position to cross or drible, but nah, kept the ball or chose a complicated pass. All this with just 2 goals conceeded, and then i just saw the highlights. Btw, in every goal u had the chance to play safe or defend better, even in the second corner i think an average online player would do better. So, no credit to this at all.
PES is trash. Used to be good, but FIFA has completely demolished it. If you want to play a good challenging football game, play FIFA. If you want to play a severely flawed game that handciaps your players and boosts the AI, play that PES trash
Tbh, your style of build up is just too straightforward and defending is too eager. Both of them has to be done calmly instead. Not saying that legend wouldn't be hard but still there's clear mistakes, like running to opposition and expecting to keep the ball? Or passes like in 8:55 what are you doing man, straight to opposition?

I was ahead 1-0 at 89 min then this one striker got ball in my penalty box, he shot it, blocked by my defenders and all my defenders swarming the box, then the ball came to him again then he shot it again, blocked by my defenders again, then the ball just came to him again and he shot it, blocked again, then the fvckin 4th times the ball kept came to him then he shot it with heel and goal FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!
You're terrible in this game and playing like this is deserved to be beaten. Try to block the AI pass from the midfield and try to avoid moving the defenders out of their position like this. Make the pass quick and decisive ... Etc ... Like Jim Beglin use to comment.

These pes Ai is cheating. I tried playing Real against Kuwait country with 1 star rating. their defenders got 60+ speed and they outrun bale. Yup its legendary, and superstar would be the same. it just they make more mistake
The ai looks so much better than fifa. In fifa the ai is easy to defend against but simply tracks your movements and passing when defending to always cover the space, then just cheats by nicking the ball off your feet unrealistically. When attacking it just passes the ball around until you concede enough space to shoot at goal then scores a screamer from 25 yards. Its boring as fuck and for me results in a shit load of nil nils

Just stay on superstar, but don’t use top list team(real, Barca, man city, Man U, Arsenal...) I’m playing premier league using Blackburn rovers, it’s challenging and fun.
Dude I think you're just too impatient to score goals... Like for example, whenever your team gets the ball you always straightaway pass the ball to another player without seeing where they actually are. When you did that, you always lost the ball. That's why you lost so badly.
I’m not buying a PES game until they fix how the grass looks( ps2 quality as of now) license everything there is to license and have a decent FUT competitive mode.
Legend difficulty is scripted as hell, ridicoulous, they get always first on you passes, they win every contrast, they outrun you every time. Brentford or barca doesn't make any difference they are on all on godmode. This game is totally unbalanced.

Dude I can't stand legend difficulty, and the level behind it is too easy for me, I hate it when the cursor changes Everytime there's a pass, they always score on centers, somehow there's always always a player beating my defender on the corners, and when he gets the ball oooh my god. I get beat by teams like Marseille in master league, I can't take it no more.
Hell I have trouble on Top Player. Sometimes the CPU just seems destined to win no matter how I play
against legend (even liverpool) i play with score 1-2 and fucking computer always wins me : ) legend is like a super faster and mindblowing passes crosses and shootes lol, matich caant win header against coutinho
In legend mode AI player always cheating,actually the difficulty not change but their player getting 2 times faster,and our player getting slower,thats why they seems so hard,..

but ur kind of bad bro ur passing is off and it seems you have no clue how to play football and especially how to keep possesion, football is not only attack ball doesnt need to go always up the field it should come back till u find the opening , and keep in mind in PES when u hit the button it matters ( timing ) like when u had a chance to shoot u press the shoot button before ur player got to the ball and he instantly lost some speed and the defender caught up
trust me, against legend level, when you conceded 2 goals, its over dude 😂, it will going worse and worse, you lucky if you can keep the score until the game over

Mate i'm fifa and pes player i always start new game with amateur then semi pro world class all of them play every difficulty for 3 days and i'm able to defeat every team in every difficulty. In legend you need to learn the defense do not use high pressing until they reach to your box and do not keep the ball for long while attacking (you keep the ball with single player for too long) fast passing is the only way to break the opponent defense (use back pass but dont lose the ball) do not use skills not for second just straight passing and aerial through balls are the best for attacking avoid straight aerial passing as well. Passing decision has to be fast you have to be one step forward in passing.
P.s i play with keyboard and my passing accuracy is more than 90% always and keep at least 65% possession.
Rehman khan i find its all about stopping them from passing. If you block the passes and mark the men off the ball then the player on the ball can get tackled. If you press like you said they all ways find a way. It more about patience defending. It is hard tho!

It's broken tbh. My players pass better to the opposition than to a teammate. How is it possible that their passing is affected by the difficulty. It almost seems like your players just do what they want.
To play master league at this level is even harder....totally unrealistic this level....but I’m still loving this game...
