The Globe Theater Model

  • Handcrafted this model of the globe theater in london. I used bass wood, balsa wood, acrylic paint, and foamboard. I completed tis project in 3 weeks.
    Specs:
    diameter: 15 inches
    height;7 1/2 in.
    floor height:1.5 in.
    yard; 4x6.25
    wall and floor thickness: 3/16 in.
    roof height:2 inches

    Wow, such little time. I would suggest you do the 3 floors out of cardboard and the walls that support these floors out of popsicle sticks. I had more time to complete so that is why I used better materials

    What is the angle of your roof supports and the length of the wood used to make them?

    How much bass wood and balsa wood did you purchase? (I don't want to get more than I need) What is the top black structure that holds the triangles made out of? How did you make the wooden balconies? Did you buy them like they appear or did you cut them to make them look like they do?

    What kind of materiel did you use for the walls? i know you have a list in the description, but I wasn't sure which one. What are alternatives that are relativity cheap also? Great model by the way, it's helping me A LOT! :)
