It was indeed a tailwind on landing. Pat was referring to the strong headwind during cruise.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire stream! 🌟 As someone who just began working as a cabin crew, I've developed a keen interest in the aviation world. I'm currently saving up to get my license. I wanted to ask the experts here: What's the best gear to buy for starting practice in a flight simulator? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! ✈👩‍✈

I am glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to comment. It's exciting to hear that you are saving to get your PPL. Regarding your question about the "best" hardware to buy I'm sure everyone has a slightly different opinion based on their needs and preferences. In general I would say buy the "best" hardware you can get for whatever your budget is. The good news is that the hardware will continue to serve you well even after you update your PC or simulator software, so look at it as a longer term investment. As a starting point I would recommend buying a yoke and rudder pedals. Some yokes comes with control for the throttle as well, still, a nice throttle quadrant would be the next step. Even if I primarily fly the Airbus I would suggest starting with a traditional yoke (instead of a joystick) as this is what you'd see in almost all GA aircrafts. Saitek/Logitech has some entry-level options. A lot of my friends use the Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle from Honeycomb (note that I don't personally have any of those). There are numerous forum and Discord servers out there where you can get good feedback from product users.
