You do a fantastic job of teaching. I have tried to make cheese enchiladas for a long time. They have never turned out...till I found your secret way! It is simple and well... restaurant quality. I live in Tucson and we know enchiladas. I will have to try these as well.
I used your tortilla recipe for some pulled pork tacos and have been trying to find a way to use the leftover tortillas. This is perfect timing. Thank you.
Taquitos are one of my tests for a good Mexican restaurant! When I make at home I like adding a smoked cheese to the meat. Ive never shallow fried or used a paste-thank you!
I love your channel. You keep your videos and recipes simple and easy. That's what I love best, that the home cook can easily recreate your meals, thank you for your videos!!!!
Thank you! I made these with my best friend who is Mexican. I tried to do it myself and the corn tortillas fell apart. I was so mad. I forgot you had to heat the tortillas up first 😂 The flour paste worked great too 👌🏼
In Calif, taquitos are made with corn tortillas and flautas made with flour tortilla. Great tip on the corn starch binder. These work well in the air fryer too.
In the great state of Texas taquitos are made with corn tortillas and flautas are made with corn tortillas! Hundreds of thousands of Californians have moved to Texas because we are much cooler and don’t have all them stupid liberal laws!
Love love love your videos! Very kind of you to passionately share the authentic foods you prepare. Very instructive and easy to follow. I have enjoyed making your recipes for my family.
Cool i like to sear and boil the chicken and make some rice and some homemade beans i i found a trick to keep the flautas from unrolling and i love them they are delicious and also it hurts my hands from the oil a bit i will prob get use to it when i became a teen
You could possibly make me my dad's favorite daughter if this recipe is as good as it looks! 😉 He loves flautas and usually buys the crappy ones from box from Costco 🤢. Looking forward to trying these 😋
Okay that flour glue is a game changer… I came here for advice on how to keep my flautas from unrolling while they fry. I’m trying this tomorrow, thank you!
Your not a weirdo I also don't like sour cream, neither does my daughter, I also don't like salad dressing except for Italian and I don't like dips except for bean dip.
I enjoy your videos. Thank You for sharing. I add cheese to my Flatuas. While they fry I close the edges with a metal spoon from prevented the cheese to get out.
Quick and easy, genius of putting a li'l cornstarch or flour to close each taco up, way easier than poking a toothpick thru and then with the crispy taco shell, sometimes you have to tug on the toothpick to get it out! Thumbs up Simply Mamá, liked and greetings for your family and you from Querétaro! :)
My Mexican cooking goes WAY BACK .... I'm 76. In my day, we did NOT shred the meat. The meat was cooked then cubed in to small pieces in it's own individual sauce of onion, garlic and tomato then slowly cooked until the moisture was rendered out. This way the tortillas would not be soaked before frying them. We rolled them the same way but my mother hated any kind of cooking oil. She only used lard and so did I when I had my own home. She enjoyed rendering her own lard from pig skins because she was left with the lard for cooking and the chicharon for snacking. Now people make tacos from them too. Once the flautas were rolled with the delicious chicken, they were fried in lard until crispy. I prefer mine made with refried beans and hamburger meat flautas. Also try chorizo.
Give me about 10 of these, a 2 Liter of Coke, a night of Netflix, and I'm a happy camper!
🤭🤭🤭

I never thought to use corn starch. Thank you for the tip.

That’s what I was explaining to my son as he’s in the kitchen preparing Taquitos not flautas. But either way the concept is the same.
@@trailerparkcryptoking5213 But Texas is the home of Tex-Mex.
I personally make my flautas with corn. I personally like the texture better when fried
I love the way she slips into a Mexican accent when she says 'Tortillas', and other Mexican foods!
I love the way you say *tortilla*! I wasn't too excited about making taquitos, because mine fall apart, but thanks to you, I am now!
My son and I love these! Will be making! Thanks! Great job!,

Wow. You rock!!! Bookmarked. Thank you for sharing.
If you put your drying rack at a slight angle, it will help to drain the oil left inside the flauta. Just put a towel or potholder under one side.
Thanks for the tip on the corn starch to seal them :)
You just made me super hungry!!!😆
