I lucked out for a change when I went to Goodwill in February. I found an Anchor Hocking jar, a Pyrex Crazy Daisy butter dish and some berry bowls. The bowls were taped together and I was hoping it was restaurant ware but it wasn't.

Hi Danielle 💓 Lincoln and Jackson xoxo u really do have a very nice goodwill with lots of great items and all ur finds looks so beautiful thanks for sharing Laura xoxo
Hey Danielle, great thrifting finds. I would have picked up those butler pans. They could be used for so many things. Trinkets, small jewelry, etc. I have a question, would you pass along the online auction site you use? You always get the cutest items. Thanks in advance...
That silverplate piece with the handles. Oh my god... gorgeous!! I also really loved the Crabtree & Evelyn bottle. The sage green pillow was really pretty. Do you have any idea who made it?
Hi, I have some vintage silver plate cutlery and I have a couple of questions I’m hoping you can help me with. 1. Would you suggest cleaning it with silver polish or leave it with the patina? 2. How can I tell if it’s silver or silver plated?
Hi! I prefer to leave my silver plate pieces tarnished because I think it adds to the character and history of it, but a lot of people prefer shined as well! If something is only plated with silver it should say on the bottom but sometimes they have no markings at all. I don’t collect sterling silver (because it’s expensive) but you should always be able to find a marking somewhere that says “925” and that means it’s sterling silver!
Ketchup cleans up copper really well. Smear it on with a soft rag...let it set for 10-15 minutes, then try wiping off a swipe...see if it looks shiny...if not, add more ketchup and check it again, ten minutes later. Rub again, then rinse with warm water and wipe clean with paper towel or clean, soft cloth. Dont leave ketchup on too long or the acid will leave tiny pits in copper.
I hear so many people pronounce "valance" as "va-LANTZ" and I've always pronounced it VA-lints like "balance" only with a v..... Which is actually correct anyone know??? 😂
The amount of real vintage and antiques at your Goodwill is... Unreal. These wouldn't have lasted two seconds in our neck of the woods.
Agreed. What area does she live in?
Love the re-purposed horse trophies. 👍
Love the trophies! I've been watching for them too.

@@HomeMadeVintage hi! Thanks so much. That helps. I’m thinking of using it, so polishing would be a good idea?
@@nelidam8289 oh yes I would definitely polish and clean it if you want to use them!

I like the patina better than shine, but I will remember this! Thanks for watching!
I love your style!
Thank you!
Great job of upcycling those trophy stands! I was wondering what you were going to do with those. I love everything you purchased.
Thanks so much! 😊
Absolutely loved this video, you always do a wonderful job with these. Don't worry about what anyone on YT ever says. It's your life g/f!!! 😅❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Absolutely a Great Video...
Thank you!
We are not to judge... If you love it, buy it. If it grabs me, I will find a place for it. Maybe one in, one out.❤
True! Although, I’m not good at the “one in, one out” method! Haha
Silver tarnishes very quickly if left sitting out. I know from experience!
Yes even if it’s shiny just be patient.
“Silent Butler”
Thank you!
If you like tarnished silver, just place your silver in a plastic bag with a hard boiled egg yolk.
The trophies turned horse deco is genius! I'll have to try that. Love your picks ❤
Thank you!
Nice job repurposing the trophies!
Thank you!!
🌷🌿🐎🌿🌷
I tend to want to shine everything up. You call it patina but it looks dirty to me. I have been trying to see it in another light.
Patina for life! Lol
Por favor compra y me envias a Ecuador. Yo te hago los pagos. Adoro las cosas que muestras en tus videos.
I hear so many people pronounce "valance" as "va-LANTZ" and I've always pronounced it VA-lints like "balance" only with a v..... Which is actually correct anyone know??? 😂
It’s pronounced val-linse! But who cares, my brain says whatever comes first so I gave up on trying to get that word right. Lol
Gotcha! Was just curious, which it actually was. ❤️
