These cookies look sooooo good! And I really enjoyed this video. The way she said at 7:57, “They’re so good. They’re so good,” just makes me smile. Her joy in these cookies at 8:40 is a joy to watch!!!! ❤
Mine too made these for the first time some I added chocolate chips and raspberry jam with the drizzle and they tasted like the chocolate covered cherries ❤
i just made this for the first time, and i literally can’t stop eating them!! I’m gonna be making these every year from now on. For my cookies i used almond and vanilla flavoring, and i used a four fruit spread. They kinda dripped when they came out of the oven so i let them set in the fridge and they were perfect. 💕
These are really good. Perfect dough consistency that didn't spread and get flat in the oven. I love raspberry but I also tried it with trader Joe's lemon curd and those were my favorite. I'm hoping they turn out just as good when I bake them from frozen.
Update to say they turned out really good from frozen. Except that I cooked them just for 12 to 13 minutes. 15 was too long in my oven. And cookies tasted just as good 3 days later.
You don't look old enough to be making these for a decade 🥰 I love thumbprint cookies! Thank you Laura for sharing this recipe with us! What a beautiful display! 🥰🥰
This cookie is bomb ass delicious soft in texture and a little crumbly. I would use just a little less than 2/3 cup sugar which i did. Such a satisfying Italian bakery style cookie. Eating it the next day after baking gives it time for the flavours to settle and meld together. Awesome! Another home run for my girl Laura Vitale.❤
This is great, I need to make cookies for a work cookie exchange (tomorrow!) I found your channel. You have the same name as my Grandma and cousin, so you win! I hope I can make them as well as you make them look. Wish me luck!
I make those Italian cookies every Christmas. I also use raspberry jam, but some of them I mix raspberry with apricot jam and top some of the cookies with that mixture. I also agree majority people prefer the vanilla over the almond extract. Laura wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas ❤
These look great, I would put Guava paste in them yummy... I was looking for something to bake with my Granddaughter and I just found the recipe.. thx for sharing.
Hi, just made the recipe today came out perfect put the powder at the end and jam. Are you strawberry jam again just waiting for the next recipe. I have to do the marry me one. I think that’s what I’m gonna do tomorrow but anyway, thanks again for the recipe for the cookies and it was years ago, but I always wanted to make them and I didn’t and I was like I’m gonna make them today, thanks God bless you and your family❤👩🏼🦰👦🏻🐈🐈
To freeze cookies, get to the point where they are formed then put in the freezer on a baking sheet. Separated so they don't freeze together. After they are solid, you can move them into a freezer bag because they won't stick together now.
I really want to make these cookies for my other half and my mom who both really love tart desserts. I wanted to ask, is it OK if I use a fruit curd instead of a jam? Thank you for the video and Happy Holidays!
Came here to say the same thing! I made two batches. First one was too dry and cracked so I tossed them. Second batch I added a little less flour and the dough was good but they still cracked when I made the jam dent 😢
Make the indentation right after rolling the ball in your palms, when the dough is warm and pliable, and make the indentation very slowly, easing into the dough. Good luck!
We use seedless blackberry jam. I got the idea from the episode of FRIENDS where Monica makes Joey jars and jars of jam. He really likes the blackberry. How u doin?
I like to make these with different preserves, apricot, strawberry etc. They look so pretty on a plate all together.
yes, beautiful!
Where can I get your recipes
I'm so glad you now put the list ingredients here. You are the best Laura! Thank you so much! 😇🥰😘
This was one of the easiest quickest cookies to make. Thank you for the recipe!

In Australia, we call it Jam Drops :) One of my favourite biscuits to make :)
Cute little video, but I wish you would tell your viewers the measurements that go into your mix.
Yummy ❤
Can you use a hand mixer if you don’t have a standing mixer?
My question as well?
Mine cracked! What did I do wrong?
make sure ingredient are well combined and or roll the dough together more to make it totally smooth (with hands)
Make the indentation right after rolling the ball in your palms, when the dough is warm and pliable, and make the indentation very slowly, easing into the dough. Good luck!
Yummy😊
Ciao bella,grazie.
Making!
Can you freeze these after they’ve baked , they look delicious
Is a hand mixer ok?

Would lemon curd work??
I wish your daughter was with you in this recipe, definitely miss her in your videos! Thx for sharing recipe, will try
These are my favorite cookies but I dip the balls in eggs whites then roll them in nuts that I ran thru coffee grinder!!!
Yeah nice old navy top!!
We use seedless blackberry jam. I got the idea from the episode of FRIENDS where Monica makes Joey jars and jars of jam. He really likes the blackberry. How u doin?

Not that your recipe/video from 12 years ago wasn’t perfect but any plans for an updated panettone video?
What if you don’t have a mixer? I have a hand mixer will that work?
Sorry to bother, but yes it will work just fine with a hand mixer👍
