One Shepherd is a leadership school that uses war gaming as the principle means for leadership opportunities. Mastery is achieved through adventure, community, and fun!
One Shepherd employs Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (MILES) and Blank-Fire (M200 cartridge) in force-on-force live simulation. Opponents engage each other in battle out to a half mile (800m) or beyond to score "kills" or "near misses."
One Shepherd is an inclusive, plural community. To join One Shepherd, Warriors must be at least 14-years-old and have no felony convictions. While the average age at the start of the program is 21, we routinely accept Warriors in their 30s and 40s.
Warriors from all walks of life are encouraged to join One Shepherd's three-year leadership program - regardless of gender, ethnicity, faith, or political affiliation. Since 1981, One Shepherd boasts more than 400 alumni from 20 nations worldwide.

Do you really need the weight of an helmet in the "greenzone" ?!

Fair question, Kapov. And my apologies for answering so late.
Short answer, yes. A longer explanation would be that more modern versions of combat ballistic helmets are getting lighter and lighter. Plus, the "bump" style helmets are non-ballistic and are even lighter still.
The advantage of wearing a helmet in the "green zone" forest is that it protects your head from trees when patrolling, and from rocks when falling and crawling on the ground. Yes, this happens - often! But beyond that, helmets make mounting night vision, tactical lights, and Go-Pro cameras to the Warrior's head much easier and more comfortable.

I think it would be practical to get used to using one, if you got it. Remember the old saying"Train as you fight and fight of you train".

Nope. Real rifles fitted with blank fire adapters. We're using MILES 2000 as the simulation system.
