    Problem is people put too much blame for mistakes that happen late, when the mistakes that happen early are just as important to the overall game. Wylie having 2 costly penalties ending 2 momentum filled drives; Mahomes' lost fumble; Burrow's 2 INTs; Bengals OL allowing 5 sacks; Bengals kicker doing a line drive, no air time, outkicking the coverage and allowing a huge return. This young man played well and made a mistake, like a lot of other players. Hope he heals soon.

      It was a very sloppy game. Even as a Chiefs fan, I kept saying it'll be an ugly win for us at best. We should've had at least a 14 point lead for most of the game, if not more. Its entirely possible the Bengals never make it back to the SB. Ask Rodgers and Brees how the "they are gonna win another sometime" worked out. Like the great Niners QB Steve Young once said "Its hard to one-peat".....

    Notice how Hiltons right there like "NOOOO DONT DO IT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!" Every Bengal player out there realized he just cost them the game.. I mean, The Chiefs Offense was a hit and miss all night, Couldn't convert in the Redzone.. Their Defense set them up so many times and they were all missed opportunities. It would have probably went into OT, Again.
    Idk what The Bengals fans are smoking.. The Referees definitely had nothing to do with it.. If anything, I do remember The Refs screwing over The Chiefs the first 2 times they played last year.. Once in regular season and once again in the AFC Championship Game.. I bet The Bengal fans won't admit to that though..

  • @theresaherman
    @theresaherman 2 года назад +3

    Old guy here. I’ve heard said by many fans, you could call offensive holding on every play. I wish it was more consistent, especially a championship game. It was a very competitive game by both sides, but I really thought when Cincy got the ball with about 2:13 left to play, and with 2 timeouts left at their own 15 or 20 yard line, they were going to win with a field goal with about 10 seconds left in the game. But guess what? The Chiefs got a sack by Chris Jones on a 3rd and 8 with 39 seconds left, which forced a 4th and 16 on the Bengals. They had to punt, which they did and it was not a very good one. Skyy Moore had a decent return to give KC a chance. To be honest, I did not see if there was holding on the Mahomies run. But he was sprinting on a bad wheel like his life depended on it. If you carefully watch the play, you can see Mahomies is angling for the 1st down and going for the out of bounds. Things to consider: 1) he is the face of the NFL. 2) likely MVP 3) he’s giving his all while playing injured 4) he’s a QUARTERBACK! 5) he’s clearly going out of bounds, in fact he’s already in the white area. 6) #58 obviously pushed him with his elbow in the back. 7) you can see Mahomies head do a little “snap” when he gets hit. If it was faked, it was damm good, because it looked real to me, plus he slid pretty hard. 8) you can see how easy it would be for a player out of bounds to get hurt, maybe irreparably. 9) it was good drama 10) how could they NOT call it? On that basis, it was the correct call. That being said, you hate to see that call being made, in a close, championship game. Also hate to see a player #58, who played a very good defensive game, get blamed for a bad mistake. It’s just an error on his part, lack of situational awareness. I wonder if he had NOT put his arms out, and contacted the QB in the back, then I assume, it would not have been called. It doesn’t make a difference if it was intentional or not. #58 still pushed #15, in the back, who was already out of bounds. It was “unnecessary roughness.” Yes, I do feel bad though for #58, it just happened to be the last mistake, of several that added up to produce the loss for the Bengals.

Also as a Seattle fan it makes me so pissed that we never had a team as good as the Chiefs the entire time except maybe once even though we have an Arrowhead tier stadium.
