I can't get enough of this Hatfield McCoy stuff. Unbelievable how lucky Jack is. He knows it which I I'm happy to hear. Keep rocking Jack.!!! Seem like a great guy.
I am from PA , and have always loved the the history and life style of the southern states. The Hatfield 's & Mc Coy 's fight was one piece of History that is still remembered
I am truly impressed. Jack Hatfield has been able to bring a lot of history back to life for others to see. I want to thank Judy Hatfield as the Chairman and Founder of the Hatfield and McCoy Foundation so that we all can continue to remember our history. I thank Bo and Ron McCoy for signing the Truce with me on CBS Early Show with 3.5 million people watching That signing ending the worlds most famous Feud. Jack continues to help us show the world that the family of the Hatfields and McCoys are United in our committment to our country and our freedom through Christ. We stand together against any Foe of freedom in the world. We also thank our Tony, Bob Scott, Billy Hatfield and many others for our family memory. Judy Hatfield is loved and will also be remembered forever. God bless our family and all those that believe in Freedom and Unity through Christ. Reo Hatfield
See, this is history I need, not embellished Hollywood stories, straight from the families. Very cool. I'm from California, born in '67, my step-dad was from a very small town in Texas, he's how I found out about this part of American History (No disrespect to that amazing mini-series, I watched it 3 times), but this is better. ❤
Devil Anse is my 4th great uncle. My line goes through his brother Valentine Hatfield. My great grandma was Named Virginia Grace Hatfield. Her dad was named Otis Hatfield.
OMG!!!!! I got to meet Mr Jack about a year or so ago I was on a bucket list trip and my wife got me a shirt from the mesum there's so much to see I urge anyone who gets the chance to to speak with him to do it I enjoyed it very much THANK U SO MUCH
I live about two hours away and plan a trip down that way later this spring. For anyone interested there's a ton of history in this area that goes far beyond the Hatfield-McCoy battlegrounds. Loretta Lynn's homestead is close, Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton shop and homestead are close(stay away from the homestead itself, Pam doesn't allow random fans in), Hatfield-McCoy trails for ATV riders, ECT
I love the history and the real stories of the families Hatfield's and McCoy's. Some beautiful films I have watched. Kevin Costner starring in my favorite film done recently. Oh how proud you must be to have the property back in your hands again as it should have always stayed.
Love this video. Means a lot. History. I'm from CT. My family has been here for years. Started in Texas. There is a town fritch Texas. We are still going strong. Love History
I’ve always heard of “Hatfield’s and McCoy’s” but just recently started researching the feud and I’m fascinated by it. Sometimes stories like this happen so long ago they feel more like a “legend”. Hearing the actual descendants talk and keep this story alive reminds you how real the whole thing was. Its fascinating!
This is so cool. American history like this has to carry on and you all are going to get it done. It’s amazing how smart Jack is about the family history. I’m happy to have found your RUclips channel. Thanks for sharing
Fantastic and amazing! I have always realized that the feud was not about the pig…but I had no idea about the real story being about so much more! Thank you so much for this tour. I pray that someday I can visit! ~Sharon from Florida
Thank you Jack. I really knew very little about the Hatfield's/McCoy's feud before watching this channel. Its very interesting part of history. Really enjoyed this video, thank you. I grew up in Vermont from a family of moonshiners in Quebec.
Impressive! The museum, the photo of the original house, the artifacts, the moat, Impressive! I wish Jack the best with the museum. Thank you Leo, for another interesting video. Take care.
I love your channel my stepmom is a distant McCoy relative so I’ve always loved the dude stories. And your content is very refreshing to see we’re these people lives and died
I was friends with Devil Anse’s granddaughter, Hazel Thompson who lived in Columbia City, Indiana until she passed. She moved up there from Pike County, Ky.
Amazing very cool video. So much history. As a history nerd all this feeds my history "addiction" Thank you for taking me somewhere I'll probably not be able to visit.
That must be awesome to be his great grandson . I always sided with Hatfield's , devil anse's is a legend. I'd like to visit that place one these days.
My great grandmother on my mother's side was a Hatfield.I remember her telling me that she met devil Anse at a large family get together when she was a young girl.
We were blessed to visit the museum and the cemetery in March of 2022 while riding the trails in and around there. Everyone was so nice and gracious to us and it was an honor to meet them all.
Thanks for taking us along on this great tour Leo. I’m definitely going to see that when we come down this summer. Jack should start a RUclips channel he’s a great story teller also.
Coming to Omar and I’ll drive up to see how y’all are doing. Old Pioneer Motel/Bar and Lord only knows what else! I’m the daughter of James and Nadine Bailey from Omar. Mommy worked at the Omar Company store from 1948-1977 when the company closed it down Leo, Jack probably know about Horsepen Mountain not too far up the road there. The Indians lodged there horses down at the bottom of of the mountain. Been in every mountain up there since I was a young girl in the 1960’s. We learned to hunt up there and at Pine Creek (Omar area).
That was soooo interesting! I love history and preservation. I was surprised that house was so close to the road, I thought the house ( original one) would have been farther back from the road. I am 1/2 Native from a tribe in BC, and per ancestry story, my paternal side were settlers in West Virginia. Irish or Scottish, I can’t find much on that side of the family though. The name Campbell shows up a lot though. Not sure.
Very nice channel! I love West Virginia. I was there once in my lifetime so far and always wanted to come back, maybe even live there. It was the most beautiful state I have ever visited.
Some amazing stuff. I like to get down there and take a look at some of the original stuff and talk a bit. I’m from Pike County Kentucky, Mudlick Hatfield and would love to share some info. Hope to see ya keep up the good work with the museum.
Thank you for showing this I live in iowa and have had an interest for the story of the fued since I heard about as a child and always wanted to come and see both places but with four young children could never save the money to come see it so this as close as I can get now that the kids are all grown and my husband and I are retired with health problems we still are unable to come see so your videos are as close to ever coming to see and I can get the true story of what and why it all happened thank you so much
I know the museums open. It would be great to just keep doing videos with Jack now and then. I can't be the only one that likes that fine fella. He should be spotlighted . Keep it alive . Just pop in now and then and do a quick 15 minute video on how he is. I'm going to get down there from Connecticut. No doubt.
I have been working on my family tree and I discovered I am connected to Ephraim Hatfield through his wife Anna Mckinney. On my dad's side of the family.
So cool! My grandmother from Point Pleasant WV was a ‘Halfhill’…always wondered if this was a play on names to avoid any repercussions from that fued 🤔
Just subscribed. This is wonderful. So informative. I am related to Robert E. Lee (distantly), so found I this informative about the relation to Lee. I love how the water rushing along the moat sounds. Beautiful area; now a peaceful place to visit about such a historical feud. Thanks for this.
My ex boyfriend claimed to be a descendant of Robert E. Lee, as well. His last name is Lee. I've been told that I'm somehow related to Stonewall Jackson, but I don't know how much truth there is to it.
I was the News Director for the Williamson radio stations the year the 100th anniversary of the feud took place. I remember interviewing one of the Hatfield family members. Quite a story!
absolutely fantastic video!! The gentleman in the dark jacket should give lectures around the country about the Hatfields and the McCoys - very very interesting!
I can't get enough of this Hatfield McCoy stuff. Unbelievable how lucky Jack is. He knows it which I I'm happy to hear. Keep rocking Jack.!!! Seem like a great guy.
Watching the series pulled me in, this opened my eyes!! Awesome job. Great history. 👍
Please keep this awesome history alive....❤❤❤

So nice that the younger generation is continuing to tell the old stories.
That house was right on the road, the original homestead. Very close anyway. Sorry to comment so much. I've been watching your content for days.
THAT PLACE IS SO BEAUTIFULL,THE RUNNING WATER AND THE TREES,PEACE AND QUIETNESS SHOULD BE ALL YOU HAVE THERE.
