I am born in Pikeville, Kentucky. When my mom was young, she taught in a schoolhouse for 2 years for one of them. At her funeral my uncle (her brother) mentioned to me and my dad that my mom was told that she will be protected and not to worry about the other family just teach their kids.
I got friend that is 1 of the McCoy's is is a great grandson. I hadn't seen him for some time and he may have passed away by now. He was in his 80s the last time I saw him.
I went to the job core school there in pikeville it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had I love the mountains. The people were nice how many really good friends and then I moved to West Virginia, and I gotta say that is by far one of the most beautiful places that I have ever lived in my life and I’m working on trying to move back
I grew up in Pikesville Ky. I'm kin to the McCoy's on my grandmothers side. I just think it is really sad what Randall went through. The man lost all most all his children. His wife was never the same. But that wasn't enough pain for this man. After everything he went through he burned to death. Devil Ans dies in his sleep. Why was Randall's life hell on earth? I know the feud was both family's fault but I believe poor Randall got the worst of it. I'm so proud to be related to him. I hope he finally found some peace.
I believe that John Vance, sheriff of Pikeville Kentucky, also had relatives in West Virginia. My grandfather was a Vance and he was a moonshiner in West Virginia.
He run to another state to hide from his warrant for the murders of the 3 boys and while on the run and not home providing for his family his 7 yr old son died of malnutrition Sad with his grandpa Devil Hatfield living near by and that's why when Cap died he was Not buried with his daddy Devil in the family cemetery
It is amazing to see that nine men had a hand in these premeditated murders and were guilty by participating, but escaped the hangman by pinning the killings, on a (then classified) simpleton who did not understand the charges and what they meant. Everyone of the Nine should have swung from the gallows for these crimes.
@@mrliberty8468 In the application of the law, all were guilty of being accomplices to the murders, and under the law should have all been found complaisant in said murders and executed for said crime. In the eyes of the law no one accomplice is anymore guilty than the other.
Excellent video, except for the short clip at 4:35. Do we honestly think the McCoy's son was wearing modern military boots and fatigues? :) Keep up the otherwise good work though.
