His deal includes a $20,000 USD signing bonus with $80,000 USD in base salary guaranteed for a $100,000 USD guaranteed total. That's a significant investment in Benedet by the Bears.

It's hard to anticipate how these UDFAs will stack up until they're actually out there competing for jobs. But at this point, on paper I only see Randolph Jr and Kromah with any realistic shot at making the team. A few others tho could be practice squad candidates.

I like Ian Wheeler, the kid is quick and fast and hard to bring down one arm tackles won't stop him. He may not be a Hester, but can give some opposing coaches some aww-shit moments.

Kromah is the most intriguing as the edge room is lacking. Poles has virtually ignored a position that is central to his defense. I like Booker a lot and we’ll see about this kid Kromah, but I’m hopeful of a significant upgrade before the season starts
