Got the ELEGOO Mercury X today and noticed my mars 4 plate doesn't suspend like other plates do in the advertisement. Noticed you submerged the whole plate and lock screw. Thanks for confirming the issue I noticed.
Thanks for the detailed review. I have a Mars 3 that I bought about a year ago and love it. Have so far just used water washable resin. Might try standard resin at some point, as the water washable is a bit brittle for some details. Haven't taken the plunge yet on the washing and curing machines - for now just washing my prints in two large yoghurt tubs (one with Simple Green and one with plain water) and curing them under a UV lamp. Will build a proper curing "oven" sometime soon.
I've been using wash and curing machines since I bought my first 3d printer. They are so convenient to have and makes the workflow so much easier. Thanks for watching.
It didn't matter what angle I had the print at I just couldn't get rid of those printing lines. Now, with this Elegoo, I finally can sleep at night. LOL. Today I changed over the FEP from the 'cloudy' one they provided to a clear one and I just couldn't believe the improvement in detail. The test prints have been far sharper. I'm extremely happy with the Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra. If I'm a good boy... hopefully they will send me a printer with a bigger build plate. 🙏
@@ScaleModelGeek Happy to hear that! I still have the hope that I can fix mine. That Mars 4 is just a little too small for my use cases. Which one were you struggling with?
@@ScaleModelGeek you lucky guy you scalemodelgeek. I wish I had set like that. Unfortunately money is not budget for expensive stuff for me. But hey a guy can dream right?😉
@@ScaleModelGeek let me ask you something how much does that cost in Australian money compared to American money 💰 I'll bet that resin 3D printer costs an ugly penny .😬
You are a bad, bad person, Sir! Since years I again and again decide against buying a resin printer, but my „Buy stuff“-clicking finger ITCHES like hell now! Grrrrr
This is the exact unboxing video I was looking for. For each machine. Thank you!
Thanks for watching

That's nice! I can feel your pain, I'm also currently struggling with printing lines on my Saturn 3

@@evolutionxstudios I have a couple of the Anycubic Mono X 4k. Bigger screens but bigger pixels.
Interesting machines for a 3D printing machine and curing machine.
It's a great little combo

@@colegensch787 Yeah, the harder I work the luckier I get. LOL
@@ScaleModelGeek uh, huh.🤨 Very funny.

Hello my friend how are you ? Did you only buy my machines as a gift for this video? Did they pay you anything other than the machines?
Wow, nice 16 minute commercial you made for them.
Yeah. I hope they appreciate it.

LOL... I'm the resin printer pimp!!
