    Combining the slide out and folding to store the base under a seat is a very clever idea.
    Am I wrong in assuming this was demonstrated upside down in this video?
    (rewatching the video and seeing where the mounting points are for the straps, I am probably wrong)
    I would have expected the level surface of the planks to be on the sleeper's side and the hinges to be underneath in order to add rigidity to the whole bed unit (while in the demonstrated position they will tend to want to close on themselves as soon as some weight will be added on them)

      It does mount exactly like shown in the video. The hinge position and mounting points are very specific so the platform won’t collapse one weight is out on it. The slats on the top that are not completely flat are only 1/2“ thick and are not noticeable once a sleeping pad is put on the Front Loft.

    Seems like it might be quite awkward getting in and out if it. Is there a demo of this in action?

    • @revelbetter9960
      @revelbetter9960  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for asking, I’ll make a video the next days and will post it here.
      Kids climb in via the bench seat, no problem at all.
      Best for grown ups is to stand backwards on the passenger side, slide your bottom up there and then lean over to the driver side for the sleeping position. We also have a set of longer straps that lowers the Front Loft another 8 inches. That’s really helpful for tall people, yet still provides enough room for storage under the platform.

    Is there anyway to increase the load rating? I have friends that are closer to 200lb.

      Sorry, we can only guarantee a weight up to 170lbs.

    How fast can you disassemble that bed if you had to get out of the area in a hurry?

    • @revelbetter9960
      @revelbetter9960  2 года назад +2

      The more often you set it up and take it down the faster you‘ll be.
      If I’d be in a hurry (luckily never was in need of that) I’d just unhook it, put it in the galley (skip storing it in the bench), swivel the driver seat and go.
      Timed myself once and took me under 2 minutes to set it up. Taking down will be even faster.

    would it be compatible with the Thor Sanctuary?

    • @revelbetter9960
      @revelbetter9960  2 года назад

      Sorry, the Thor Sanctuary doesn't have the overhead shelf like the REVEL, so it won't work.
      If you install the overhead shelf from the REVEL, then the Front Loft would work. You'd have to contact Winnebago to see if you can order that specific REVEL overhead shelf.

      It’s rated at 170 lbs

      The center strap would make it difficult to get on and off the bed

    • @revelbetter9960
      @revelbetter9960  2 года назад +2

      @@yinshantang it might seem that way, however in fact it’s fairly easy to get on. You would just sit on it behind where I stand and then lay your upper body over towards the driver side.
      Thanks for pointing this out, I’ll plan on a video soon to show how to get on.

    Can you confirm the dimensions of the bed when fully expanded? Also, how much does it weigh? Do you have an email or phone as I didn't see any contact info on your web site. Thanks

      Maximum size of the Front Loft is 24" wide by 59" long (distance from window to window is 5'11"). The weight is limited to170 lbs.
