One of the best RX-7 reviews on RUclips that everyone should watch. Totally agree with your sentiments. I'm happy for people to butcher their FDs because it makes nice examples rarer and more valuable. I love the sequential idiosyncrasies. It's what makes the FD different from every other Rotary car (excluding the 20B sequential which is virtually extinct in standard form *that still transitions properly) I absolutely love my car: Extrude honed intake and Xtreme lower manifold. Power FC (period correct) Genuine SMB SP exhaust (custom dolphin tail) Coilovers CCW Classic 18x10 (The original CCW not remakes) Etc. A dream I turned into reality in January 2011. Always covered. Always garaged. Mint.
Agreed - IMHO, a well sorted and cared for Sequential Twins setup is indeed, the best setup for a street FD. I am biased; drove my "Touring" off the lot in 93 and still have it - now on Seq BNRs and many other mods, but the car remains looking and feeling like a factory fresh example, both under the hood and elsewhere. I feel I am in a diminishing but special ownership category. Great video that highlights the spirit of what Mazda created with the FD.
Man what a clean car. I dont think I would have ever owned one if i didnt come across the deal of the century and have it be completely stock. Of course that brought its own set of problems. its mainly clean up that i gotta do. Great vid. If only mazda had put just a little more into the interior, woulda been great.
If you really want a crowd, turn up with a few JDM buddies R34, GTO, Supra ,it goes on. 90s the peak of all Japanese manufacturers much like 60s American muscle.
People think 90s cars are analog, but they are numb compared to cars from the 50s and 60s. The FD has high limits, you really need to be on a track to fully exploit its performance. Even stock you can't hold the gas down for more than 2-3 seconds before you're going way over the speed limit.
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!

I bought my second fb today and I'm going to drive it for the first time tomorrow very exciting
Thank you RP for feeding my passion for this car. Brilliant video, as usual. A big thank you - from Scotland.
Well done fellas. Great summary, review and representation of the car. Almost make me want to keep it.
Great video!!! I am a Fd owner also and have a youtube channel. This video has great content and from one rotard to another. Brap on

This is also a creative film in its own right! Have not seen a video filmed this way before. So simple yet so effective!

"it's a street car, not made for the track". Mazda engineers: TRIGGERED.
I’d love to just ride in a proper FD some day. Been in a single turbo FC, so it’s a start.
Awesome video man.
Just gotta flag somebody driving one down and ask!!!
Hahahahaha
Dream car status for sure. I’d LOVE to own one.
in a unknown multiverse
Cross vs Keisuke
Stopping to film in the middle of the road, on a bend? Beautiful and tasteful 99 spec FD, though.
Reminds me of what some people where saying about my fc.

The fd is one of my dream cars, but they keep shooting up in price.
