Thank you for being here!
A cinematic masterpiece highlighting an artist and craftsman's passion for his work. Well done Tim!
Thank you DC, it means a lot as always. 🙂
I adore your videos so much Tim, your speech and editing carries such a gentle rhythm to match this serene power in your paintings. Thank YOU for being here!
Thanks so much for your support, @shirbonscrawl
As a picture framer, I totally agree the lighter frame is 100% better as the black enclosed it too much and made it look cramped in and was also far too dominant. Its great that you can make your own frames but you can buy float frame moulding in 3-4 metre lengths and save yourself so much work😉 I LOVE your artwork!
I can see you put quite a bit more into your art than many, if not most, of the other artists I’ve followed, and it shows. Great work! Thank you for this.
Thanks so much Robert, I really appreciate that.
the production of your videos is incredible, man... really inspiring.
i really hope your channel continues to grow. you deserve it.
Thank you @miketch6520 I really appreciate that. 🙂
Love watching the craftsmanship as well as the artistry. Thank you.
Thank you too, Paula.
I like the new color!
I love the new frame.
As an ex-framer, that was interesting to watch! I much prefer the lighter coloured frame.
Thanks Maria! It's a little intimidating knowing skilled framers watch as well! 😂 I've worked hard to upskill myself with the framing in the last year. There's so much precision in it, I have a lot of respect for those who've mastered the craft.
@@TimSchofieldArt It was a skill I enjoyed enormously! However, I'm 79 now and enjoy watching others doing what they do best - love your art!!!
Hi Tim You’re holding the ocean in your hand. So beautiful! What kind of white crayon did you use? It looks like an oil pastel but I’m just guessing. Beautiful work and your serenity is definitely expressed in your wonderful style!
Thank you Teresa! The crayon is a water-soluble one, Caran d'Ache. Being water-soluble I find it can mix with watercolours well.
I regret that I can’t paint like you! Beautiful video!
Thank you Kay. I checked out your journals, they look great! Really nicely put together.
New frame looks good. Think you're right about the lighter colour.
Cheers man!
Your old frame was definitely put together well! lol Love the new color on the frame, Tim! My eye goes right to the painting, instead of the frame. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Gail. It's not a frame colour I've used before all the chances were being taken! 😁
Yes, one of my first completed still life paintings! Loved the music, great match to your paintings. I remember watching the video you linked, been here ever since. 🥰
Time has flown! Thanks for your support, Margaret. 🙂
Incredible artwork ❤thank you for inspiration
Thank you as well, Nastya. 🙂
I'm glad you filmed the journey. It was worth it and I think its history makes it more valuable. 😁 Great work!
I'm definitely glad I didn't abandon it now! Thank you :)
Truly a feast for the senses, thank you for sharing your craft.
Glad you enjoyed it Diane!
I've never seen micron pens used for carpentry but us watercolor artists love our micron pens so it makes sense we would use them for everything! 😂
Hahah such a good point. I don't normally use microns for marking wood, but I'm very skilled at losing my pencils...
I wanted to say thank you for ending up filming the process of rejuvenating an old painting and providing it a new home, your frames are so unique and elegant as you say. Its never quite a good day unless you upload so thanks for that. Its also interesting to see your process, see in reality the comparison between old and new and, thereby, the changes you have made and how much you've grown and continue to grow. I hope you have a great day whenever and wherever you read this😁
Thank you Ben! That's a really lovely comment, and very appreciated. :)
Your filming is as fascinating as your paintings, and your voice is also wonderful. You could do voice overs easily! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience with us. Thank you, I’m always inspired when I watch your videos ❤
Do you paint on wood? If not how do you mount the paper to the board?
Thanks @yunzers :) I paint on cotton paper and bind it to a birch board with acrylic medium. You can check out my video titled 'This changed everything' if you'd like to see the process step by step. 👍
Hi, again, from Northumberland, Tim 👋
Another great video from you, as always. One quick question, what's the teal-type blue you were using at the beginning of the video in the seascape, please? It's beautifully vibrant 🩵
Hey Bruce, thanks so much! I've only just seen this comment - sorry for the delay in answering your question. There's a mixture of a few different paints that produced those teal / turquoise gradients near the start - in different areas it's different ratios of W&N Phthalo Turquoise, Daniel Smith Prussian Blue, DS Undersea Green, DS Neutral Tint and DS Payne's Blue Grey. The foundation of it is the Phthalo Turquoise, so I'd mainly recommend checking that one out for a similar look. 😁
@@TimSchofieldArt thanks for taking the time to reply. Hope your local weather is picking up so you can get outdoors🤞
Bel lavoro. Comunque mi piace di più la seconda. Secondo me è molto più elegante! 💜
