Hello, and thank you for another entertaining video! I work homecare, so I spend time with patients. I try not to offend, but still want to enjoy my perfume. It's a balance, I think. ❤

Hey there!!! Found your channel! God bless you for what you do! I have 3 dogs; one is 16 and I’m always at the vet’s office (including today for 2 hours). Yes, I’ve been pooped on also at work! (I work at a hospital) 😂 I know the deal. I also try and pick boring and easy fragrances, but Sometimes I cheat (incense-y vanillas)❤

Hi Wendy, I enjoyed your video. I also wear lighter scents during summer.
I’ve been reaching for M + Iris and Nuee Bleu as well as Tam Dao layered with Santal Basmati. Satori works beautifully on super humid 90 degree days. If I wear it during cooler weather, I can’t smell it. 😊 I also love Cristalle, Eau de Rochas and Eau Dynamisante. Both Shalimar Cologne and Champs Elysees ETD work on cooler, less humid days. For lavender, I wear the original Helmut Lang , au the Bleu, Lovely and Terre de Lumiere. These are some of the scents I wear to work and for sleep. So much perfume, so little skin! Thanks again for another interesting video.

Hi Petunia! So many people talk about Nuee Bleu & I feel like I should get a good decant of it or something seems like something I would like. Tam Dao is so solid & what a good idea to layer it with Santal Basmati!
And that is funny I have old bottles of Cristalle both the EDP & EDT. I try to pull them out in the summer -- I don't wear them any other time of year they just don't work.
Thank you for sharing your choices I'll have to look some of them up! Lol so much perfume and not enough skin I agree:)

I really commend you for going to work. It's definitely harder as you get older. I hope you are taking care of yourself on your days off - sleep in, eat lots of yummy food and watch your favorite show. I love do nothing days. As to wearing perfumes to work, I sweat so much that I haven't worn anything since my client likes to walk a lot:) My client is also very odor sensitive, so that's another reason.

Hi Sooyun. I agree what is it about work that gets harder as we age ... that middle part knowing that there is more? It's also more tiring. I also need a do nothing day ... with lots of treats of course. They still taste good as we get older:) Are you a caretaker where you have a specific client? I hope you put lots of perfume on when you get home from work, you deserve it!

Hei! A nice list there! I am retired, so I do not have to think about not offending people at work with my perfume, but I do have a large kitchengarden where I spend a lot of time in the spring and summer. I tend to not wear any perfume before the evening in this season, unless it rains and I am inside. When I am outside in the garden. there is always so much smell from flowers and vegetables and grass, and I can not really enjoy my perfumes. What I have been wearing lately is Byredo. I find they have some great offerings, and I buy them secind hand so they come a bit cheaper. Gypsy Water and Mojave Ghost, and also Eyes Closed are some of mny favourites. There is one perfume I enjoy out in the sun, Rituale from Mendittorosa, a very heavy perfume with beeswax and incense(I think), smells so intoxicating in high temperatures.

    • @wendisparadeofperfumes5034

I agree I was weeding yesterday and I could smell my roses and my little marigolds. Along with the green earthy scent of ripped out weeds! No perfume needed for those times. Your kitchenette sounds so lovely and relaxing!
Gypsy Water is the only Byredo I have and a decant at that ... I grew to like its minimalistic approach. And the Rituale sounds pretty I like heavy hitters for sure.

Hi Wendy thanks for sharing your work scents with us. I have a few from this lineup with Infusion d’ Iris being one of my favorite soft, unisex choices.
I’ve been a hairdresser for 25+ years so working in close proximity with the public I have to be mindful of what/how much fragrance I wear. I do wear perfume to work every day, I just have to know the correct dosage for stronger ones, or don’t wear them at all.
At home, I have three rescue dogs and this past week two were treated for impacted anal glands and yeasty ears, so a big thank you for all that you do. ❤

Good evening Wendi. I really enjoyed listening to the factors determining what fragrances you want to wear to work. I agree with you very much that your particular job can have massively changing emotions/environments from one minute to the next, and that you have to be considerate on what you decide to wear to work as a person who really enjoys their fragrances. One fragrance I find very affordable and is a very nice scent for work is Davidoff Zino. Even though it is sold as masculine fragrance, I think a lady could easily wear a couple of sprays to work and it would smell beautiful on her. Another couple I wear to work are Guerlain's L'Instant De Guerlain and also Guerlain's Vetiver. Thank you for a very interesting and thought provoking video. I will look forward to your next one. :0) P.S. When I read the title the Eddie Cochran oringinal version of the song is on the one that came to my mind immediately.

Oh, thanks for suggestion for the Zino perfume. That’s the one my partner wore when I met him and I think it’s an awesome fragrance. He still has a full bottle I gifted him. It smells amazing on him and I never thought about wearing it myself. I’ll give it a go :)

@@anah6270 I must say I have never smelt it on a lady, but I think it is a fantastic scent and I love it when I wear it. I think it is not overtly masculine or that it projects hugely, but it is one of my favourites. Exactly my area of fragrances I love, like Azzaro Pour Homme, Milano Cento Him, Rive Gauche (which is discontinued now for men and that's such a shame). Many, many more too. :0)

Bless your heart for the line of work you do. It’s not for the faint of heart and I can imagine how draining it can be.
I’ve not smelled Prada d’Infusion Iris, is it anything like Hiris by Hermes? I love Hiris! It’s my go-to perfume for when I’m anywhere really and don’t want to offend anyone and yet, at the same time, want to enjoy a small scent bubble of my own.
Currently, new-to-me this summer is Lilas by Fragonard, a realistic lilac perfume and it’s really inexpensive. It helps me feel less sad about summer being so fleeting. Ugh!

    • @wendisparadeofperfumes5034
      @wendisparadeofperfumes5034  2 месяца назад +1

Infusion d'Iris is a little bit like Hiris. The Prada though is more green and powdery with galbanum and mastic, honest to say that the iris is in the background, versus the Hiris which is a green iris but it's ALL about the iris at the forefront. That is another lovely for sure!
I love Lilacs ... might have to look that one up. Something about lilacs is so transportative probably because the trees are luckily everywhere and they smell so strong!

Great selection there Wendi! Thank you. I work from home. It’s been 3 years and as much as I like it, let’s be honest…I do miss wearing my perfumes out in the world, smelling them out in the breeze or when it’s raining or during the hot summer days. You get to know each so well and mostly, they do change depending on climate.
Since I don’t have many opportunities to get ‘glamorous’ or ‘elegant’ I wear all my perfumes at home (what a waste 🤣) but I’m an oversprayer and reapply many times during the day - poor husband when he gets home. He doesn’t like 50% of my wardrobe and says I smell like an old lady - perhaps it’s good that I work from home. I wear anything cheapies, expensive, floral, woody, muscy, spicy, aqua. I enjoy them all.

Hi Wendi, I work from home so the minute my husband leaves for work, I put on whatever obnoxious fragrance I’m in the mood for.🎉 😂 Hopefully it’s at its base notes by the time he gets home and he never knows I was wearing 5 sprays of vintage Poison! Oh yes at my age it's all about the jumpsuit! And they are very similar. How can I say this without being obvious? The Poudre is basically Prada Infusion d'Iris but with a more Chanel personality. It's slightly more elegant, aloof, and floral feeling.
