Way back in the day it was checkered board of different types of government owned land that was consolidated and traded with private owners to make it contiguous
Looks like access is by crossing Shasta Dam. A Federally guarded facility with vehicle access limited to use between 6am and 10pm. Closed after that. All vehicles crossing subject to search. This, of course, could be a good thing for privacy.
You don't cross Shasta Dam to get to this property. Just stay on Interstate 5 until you get to Lakehead and take the Lakeshore Drive exit to Forest Dr. No access issues or searches.
Beautiful, thank you!! Sorry for the hate messages. You’re a good guy! California, especially Northern California is awesome. Nobody bothers you, and you can hunt and farm in peace. Haters need not come…
Nice area all mountains are very gorgeous and if you want peace…,but probably hard to get fire insurance now since it’s in a wooded area all the fires messed up everyone good luck getting insurance especially after building a house or structure… looks far from everything to
The government offers fire insurance when there are no other options, you can at least look into it if you want to build a home somewhere and there is no insurance offered for that particular area.
I believe that are several California and/or federal EPA rules about owning land that has water on it, creeks, streams, ponds. Giving the agencies permission to do whatever they want with the land regardless of owner approval or permission. Might want to look into this, probably why the price is so low
That would be the first time I have heard of that... ("Giving the agencies permission to do whatever they want with the land") Normally, you would actually have a riparian water right to bodies of water located or adjoining your land.
U should look into a Nikon P950. The zoom is unbelievable, 4K i believe, superzoom camera with like 80X zoom. The Nikon P1000 has 125x zoom but its a heavy camera both are little bulky and heavy compared to like regular digital cameras. But theres no other cameras that can do what these do right out the box.
I'm a bit surprised that this does not show as sold. Are there any hardships or obstacles that stand out? Love your videos and the effort you go to show these properties 👍💪
Thank you so much! The biggest drawback, is that winter access would be tough since the road is not maintained and there will be some snow. There is also not a lot of flat land out of 80 acres.
Luckily, there are not many neighbors and no one was out there the 2 days I was there all day. I don't think anyone lives out there full time. I did not see any houses, just one large "shed/ getaway place."
I REALLY like your channel. I'm subscribed and on the look out for properties such as the ones you've advertised. THANKS and best wishes with your channel :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you reaching out. This helps me keep this up because it is soooo much work/time consuming. lol Good thing I enjoy most of it. I;m sure you will find something you like at some point. Many more coming soon.
@@MountainValleyRealEstate Yeah... you DEFINITELY have a great niche market business here from what I see. There are sites that I have facilitated to invest in 2 AirBnB's of my own....And I am confident that your channel/website WILL attract the same type of investors such as myself along with other parallel type of investors. God Bless and best of luck @MountainValleyRE
Good question. I'm no expert, but I believe the answer is, that is just doesn't get cold enough to freeze it plus both those items are under tree cover which reduces the hard freeze potential to some degree. The water tank is massive, so that is a lot of water that would have to freeze as well.
It means that you may put down a certain percent of the purchase price (typically 20%) and you make monthly payments to the seller until you pay it off. Just like a car loan or mortgage on a house only the seller is the "bank." Great question!!
Awe man that’s perfect to build my Bat cave or my Justice league hide out .I bet Wonder Woman would be impressed.well at the least it gives me somewhere where I can work on my magnetohydrodynamic drive vehicals .now if can only find somewhere to sell my epithermal gold ore .
Shared water? Who with the cartel. 4 by 4 in the winter for sure. Last year the snow was down to lake level. Luckily it didn’t burn in the last few years.
Don’t believe everything Fox news tells you! Northern California is awesome!! Nobody bothers you, and you can hunt and farm in peace. No offense intended, but this is a beautiful place to be free and raise your family.
Other private land owners. There are 4 or 5 parcels after this one that those landowners could drive to. There are 5 other ones but there is no road to them and they appear landlocked. I went up there twice while filming and there was no one around either time. I would think someone would come visit their property during the summertime.
The shared well was put in by the person who split up the parcels before anyone else owned them a long time ago. The current sellers purchased the property and installed a septic system.
Wow. You must not be from the mountains. Many towns in ca run completely off of wood and diesel for the winter. I didn't have heat or air till I was 12. And I'm only 41.
I believe it would be shared with the parcels that have a road to them since that is how they would run the water pipe underground to those parcels and it looks like 4 or 5 have road access.
Great question! Yes, I do. That being said though after 19 years of walking around properties I have yet to encounter a bear or anything life threating. We do not have Grizzly Bears in CA as they went extinct in 1924, if we did I would be concerned.
@@MountainValleyRealEstate yes I knew about the grizzley bears but black bears are plentiful and mountain lions are no joke either but I will say that was an absolutely beautiful property ,thanks for answering my question be careful out there ,I am waiting on money to come in ,when it does I will keep you in mind ,I love watching these sorts of things ,have a great day and thanks again.
I seriously doubt that. Probably left by one of the seasonal neighbors. You can't even get that ATV in here without getting through the locked entrance.
True, but what most people don't understand, probably because they don't live here is that very Northern California is very different than the southern part in terms of political, taxes, cost of living etc. This area has the lowest sales tax of the state, and property taxes are just 1% of the assessed value per year plus any bonds or additional assessments if any. An addition, just look at the prices of a lot of these properties I'm selling. Price per acre is incredible compared to other parts of the state.
This Video had some nice scenery, but the " Duration " of it became " Old and ' Dismal '" ! The Producer would do Well in Re-Editing these Flicks AND " Shortening them " ! And " Getting Right to the Point " in " Future Videos " !
It is 80 acres. I use my ATV on the 103 acre video to help speed things up. The smaller 5 to 10 acres etc, no problem. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
Wait......a lot surrounded by the GOVERNMENT!......Ay, atleast the buyer will be 100% safe...Shoot. they won't even have to eat or drink water cuz the government does so well at protecting its people...Especially in California.

Beautiful property!
Yes in deed. It is so amazing walking around out there, very uplifting to say the least.
$145,000 private shooting range. Perhaps.
What a great property
Thank you!
Very nice chunk of land. Good video.
Yes, thanks!
One would need a brush hog or some other tractor to deal with the brush etc. ask me how I know!
Have you ever heard of goats for brush control? This is where they pin some up in a gated area and they eat everything in sight. 🐐
@5 minutes around trail cam night shoots,is that a creek sound? Or whispering wind in the trees?.I would like to see.can I book a meeting to see
That is the sound of the creek. Contact me on my website to discuss the property more or a showing. MountainValleyLand.com

Cool video, wondering what cell carrier you use to get access on this property?
Thank you! I use Verizon. I think you just need the line of site to a tower. ATT seems to do good as well from what I have heard.
Probably my biggest issue is the road easement right thru the middle of the property. Literally divides land. Otherwise beautiful piece of land.
Luckily, there are not many neighbors and no one was out there the 2 days I was there all day. I don't think anyone lives out there full time. I did not see any houses, just one large "shed/ getaway place."

Great place to live in California.

What stops the water tank and well plumbing from freezing during the winter?

The hard part about all these rural properties is the current insurance issues currently going on in CA...
Are the parcels surveyed, if not it’s in the thousands.
I'm sure they had to do that to split them up legally with a new map.
On many of your offerings, they say, "owner may carry". What des that mean?

Got to have phone service for emergencies
There are satellite phones and GPS units that you can use/text to communicate as well and very affordable.

3 or 4 other land owners. Yes, 4wd in the winter.

Cool property
I agree. I wish I could take credit but it was beautiful long before I did a video about it. lol Thanks for watching and commenting!
This might be great in any state other than California.

Yup i thought it is a steal then i saw cali 😂 this would be heaven hear in north georgia
Why not?

Is this property still for sale? What is the physical address?
Yes, it is vacant land, so no address. Look up Forest Rd Lakehead, CA.

Yes, lots to explore for sure!!!
What are the taxes?
1 to 1.25% of the assessed value per year. Did you watch the video?
Are wood stoves even legal in California?
Yes, they are common in all mountain communities throughout the state.
Wow. You must not be from the mountains. Many towns in ca run completely off of wood and diesel for the winter. I didn't have heat or air till I was 12. And I'm only 41.
I see them a lot in my area of California. I would just double check with the building department if you were going to build.
Yes they are and in the town of Quincy it’s smog exempt
Fire safety questions?
Fire safety is a good thing to practice of course.
How many parcels share the water well?
I believe it would be shared with the parcels that have a road to them since that is how they would run the water pipe underground to those parcels and it looks like 4 or 5 have road access.

Well, 4 hours south of there or 240 miles away in El Dorado National Forest. The last fatal attack before that was 20 years ago.

No moisture pit and have no pollution into the ground ... to the future man.
