@DAMIAN WALTER how often should I use a cleansing shampoo. I wash my hair every Sunday. Never use a cleansing shampoo before. Only a moisture shampoo then a moisturizer condition. By the way it's on nature hair.

I am AMAZED that this video was even necessary. 20+ years since natural hair started blowing up again and folks still haven't figured this stuff out? I have used some of those products and in EVERY CASE they just sat there (like on the refrigerator!) and caused buildup. Seems like people are still stuck on outcome rather than longevity, like you said. Going for shortcuts and quick fixes almost never works out in the long run. Thank you for all you continue to do!

Thank you thank you so much for this video and your other videos I've just started my loc journey and your video has helped me heavenly as far as how & where to start and maintain my locs. I have a couple of clients I do re-twisting for and will be switching over to your hair care maintenance for their benefits too. And no I'm not a loctician, just someone that started doing locs in 95 and up until maybe last month or so I didn't even know that there were classes for this. So thank very much for your knowledge and help.

Damian u must come to AZ! We started my son's locs when he was 2 years old he will be 5 on November 22nd. My niece started them with gel they were beautiful. Now I've been talking him to salons and the ladies r using shea butter and build up is showing. These salons out act like they don't know what I'm taking about when I ask about the brown areas in my son's locs after they just give him one wash. My son has black hair! I had a stroke in 2011 and I don't use my left hand if I could I would take care of it myself. I sure wish I lived close to u. I see your you tube post and you truly care.

I don't have locks but I started using products with few to no ingredients. Olive oil, water and even blue magic caster oil (if I need hold) . I take vitamins and wash my hair often & my hair grows like wild fire. I have 4A to 4C type. This is good advice. Fewest ingredients seems better for me.

have a problem with dry scalp, definitely throwing the jamican lime retwisting gel in the trash. I have been using the design essentials oat protein and henna shampoo and the mint conditioner but I just ordered the almond butter instant moisturizing conditioner. haven't tried it yet. This was a very informative video as always. Using the wrong products can ruin a lot of time and effort especially when the hair is locked. I have sisterlocks and only use the sisterlock products. They are not cheap or easily accessible however, these products were created for my locking system and the results speak for themselves. People need to use what's good and what works not what's on trend or "new". I love your videos. Keep teaching and preaching 😘
