Thanks for the valve adjustment video for the Zuma/BWS 125, DynamoUSA. That was very helpful. I wished that you had shown the whole Top Dead Center thing. I have tried to find the TDC arrows and lines by just opening the rubber door flap without success. You really need to remove that stator cover (behind the fan cover) to see it. Also, I have heard that it’s important to have TDC on the exhaust turn. It means putting a stick inside the spark plug hole and turning the crank until the stick comes out at the TDC mark. If you don’t, the valve gaps will be totally wrong.

Not shown here is the EXHAUST valve adjustment. I did those too and upon removing the cover about 1/2 oz of oil spilled out so be prepared. It is also very difficult to maneuver the tools on this one and I suggest getting that center-stand up on a couple of 2x4's before starting. Though everything was done fairly smoothly and with great satisfaction using the 8mm valve tool from Amazon, when I finished the engine now 'clicks' or 'taps' quite audibly.I think I many have not had flywhl corect.

It would be helpful to see the setting of top dead zero on the flywheel.
    Thanks for the tips.

There is a little "window" covered by a plastic tab on the fan side cover, pull the tab back and you can see the flywheel and TDC indicator on the case. If you really need to see the indicator, please view my recent videos. "Removing the head and cylinder"

I guess the smallest and with a low foot pound scale, you only need a few FP of torque for these little guys...FYI... I did not use a Torque wrench and have not had any problems them loosening up for over 5000 miles. A little BLUE Loc-tight is all you need. If you really want to torque these... pull the motor out. 1/2 turn past snug, worked for me.

Did you end up doing the exhaust valves? Do I have to ready for oil to pour out of the exhaust valve cover?

    Hi, DynamoUSA
Can you make the video about exhaust valve clearance adjustment ?
It is hard to adjust the exhaust valve.
    Thank you very much.

my scooter (which i had to get rid of after 10566miles) had problems with its engine. It got to the point where it was impossible to start the engine. It started with my electrical start button not working properly. And as i put more miles into my scooter i had to start use the kickstarter for it to start. But that only worked for a few weeks.
For some reason the scooter repair shop told me it was a bad batteri that caused all of my problems. Apearently sometimes the sparkplug did not get a "spark". But, i tried swapping the battery with a new one, but my problems persisted.
What i regret is not doing a compression test on my scooter. Maybe the sylinder was burned out or maybe something wrong with the valves.
The repair shop claims they always check the valves when they service it, but at that point the engine is hot. how can they do it

I set my valves to spec at tdc and i have a loud ticking. Ive done the whole process 4 times with the same results. Ticking only stops when i set valves with no gap, which i know is bad.

Hi Casey, did you manage to sort out the clicking noise? I've just adjusted mine and I am having the same problem! Im going to order proper tappet adjusters and try it again, but wanted to ask you from your previous first hand experience.

@@robsicki1985 Yes, I removed the fly wheel cover to find top dead center. There's an arrow to line it up. What I was looking at before wasn't accurate.

Hi DynamoUSA, really nice video. I agree with you, all in Zuma 125 is easy but experience is necessary. I have a Zuma 125. I have a problem with the motorcycle. Every certain period of time (let's say 3 months), the motorcycle wont' start (it is like or gasoline or spark is not reaching to the piston, but the motorcycle try to start, it is not dead). The first time I took it to mechanic X who told me that the problem was the lateral stand cut off relay. Obviously, this was a wrong diagnostic because if the relay is damage the motorcycle would be complete dead, it would not try to start. The second time it happen I took it to mechanic Y. This told me that he adjusted and calibrated the valves. He charge me $200. This make more sense to me, however, I am not 100% sure. I am sick and tire of mechanics. Do you think this may be my problem? What do you recommend me? Another thing, the three times that this issue occurs is after I fill the gasoline tank....I don't know if this has something to do!. Thank you.

Same problem as my Zuma. Do you use the compression gauge
(like Snap On gauge) to measure the pressure (192 psi at 1800r/min) ?
Carbon deposit caused the intake and exhaust valves leaking.
Clean the throttle body and check the fuel injector whether is clogged.

    • @mila16
      @mila16 8 лет назад

Hey, maybach300c, I found the problem. Do you remember in my comment that the problem appears after filling the gasoline tank? Well, the problem is actually is too full of gasoline. Just remove some of the gasoline in the tank and problem solved. I purchase in an auto-part this manual pump to pass liquids from one recipient to another (do not use you mouth). It is crazy that mechanics are the worst place you can go, they steal money from you and dont have the honesty of telling you the truth. Answering your question, I do not have compression gauge in my tools. I hope you can solve your problem also. When you fill the gasoline tank of the zuma, stop when the release gun say so.
