Conformity is a requirement of the government, if you don't confirm, God help you in that country. So, not every power bank needs to be made the same way to comform to the same boring style as everyone else's product. Making things your own is ok. The paw print is evidence of a brand saying, we can do fun things, we don't need to conform. That's all I meant.
I gave my family 2 pieces of INIU 10500 power banks and they've held up really well in the last 6 months. My brother also had an unusual situation when he flew to London and none of the outlets in his room were working except for the old school USB-A port. So he would charge the power bank from the USB-A outlet and then pass through from the power bank to his MacBook Air. It saved him and it worked that way the entire week he was there for work.
Dude, thats genious! In cases where you know that you can't have power available at all times, it makes sense to buy the largest size powerbank that you can, so that you can insure to have enough power to power a device for at least a day, before you need to recharge the pack. I am planning to get the Nitecore flagship battery pack, whether ATIOP reviews it or not. lol
I absolutely _despise_ those coatings. As somebody who generally uses devices for a long time, invariably I end up having to spend a ton of time with rubbing alcohol to clean the coating off once it starts degrading. Since I'm going to waste hours down the road to just end up with bare plastic, please save me the trouble and just sell me an uncoated plastic device in the first place. I think they use these coatings because it gives a supposedly "premium" feel and they're very low-cost to apply, but my experiences mean that any time I feel this kind of soft-touch coating, I instantly recoil. Not so "premium" feeling to me any more.
I had taken a risk on it since it's a pretty unknown brand, but I was surprised at how good it is. I've had it for 2 years now, and it's been reliable so far.

This is promising, but as you've shown multiple times, if one power bank from a manufacturer is "pretty ok" for what it is, that doesn't translate to all the others being just as good or better. I have high hopes for the 25K since the Baseus one really left me with a sour taste.
I look forward to your INIU review. I have their 65W 25000 mah and their 140W 27000 mah and I've been very impressed with them for the money. Just don't use the cables they come with, they cut cost on those to keep the prices on the banks fairly low.
I have to agree. I just bought my B-41 yesterday and put it on the charger overnight and it barely moved from two paws . So I decided to swap it out today with a different power cable that I already had and it’s slow as molasses, but it is charging today. I am still trying to decide if I want to keep it or not. It is cute though!
It varies depending on the power bank. I do one test at maximum output and then usually test at half power. If it's a smaller power bank I may only do the maximum power. But yeah, not going to discharge a 30AH battery with 5V/1A, too much time. I'd like to do all of the modes but it's not realistic with time constraints and for stupid youtube videos.
Good series, I have like 4 their powerbanks, last time compact 10k powermank didn't manage to juice my magic 5 pro to even 60 percent. Now I am curious to double check
Oh my gosh, that paw print battery gauge is so adorable. Sounds like a nice powerbank, that actually does what it says it does. I don't think anyone could be upset about this unit. I think ladies should buy these things up, the paw print alone is worth the price! I hear what your saying, but you really need to review the flagship top dog NITECORE Summit 20000 Power Bank, 20,000mAh for Low Temperature. Nitecore are innovators, and as such, they have innovated features into this puppy, that I haven't seen from other brands, like the heating element, to keep the lithium batteries from immediately going flat in sub zero temperatures.
Overall, I'm sure price has a lot to do with the success of this power bank but yes, it does look nicer than many others for what is essentially a market of black monoliths. I plan to avoid anything from nitecore, they're not for me.

I’m hoping you could get your hands on and review the Elecjet Apollo Ultra 10k power bank. They seem to be out of production now for some reason. Reviews on Amazon back up the claim that it can recharge the entire bank in about 30 minutes by dumping close to 90 watts into the pack. Will it last long? Maybe not…but it’s sure attractive to recharge my iPhone or iPad and charge the whole pack in less than 30 minutes - like during a layover.
Yeah, charge fast and hot, just what lithium ion batteries like! I am not surprised they aren't on the market anymore. I'll keep an eye out, I know it is on my list to check out at some point.
Can you do a video of the most efficient sub 100 watt hour batteries around the 20k mah rating? Mostly to see what is allowed for flights and something still portable in a bag or a waist pack. I find it hard to see the watt hour for many battery banks on Amazon and even the manufacturers site. They don’t always show the battery voltage in the manual so it’s hard to calculate it.
True. It has to be written on the power bank but they hide it in microprint on the label a lot of times. It's one of the things Shargeek or Sharge gets correct, they clearly label the products. I am working on a website with the data. I need to get that running sooner rather than later, maybe I should work on that instead of videos for awhile.

I tested one of those a while back, Anker fusion 511 with the charger built in. Considering it's a charger and a power bank, it wasn't crazy heavy and the efficiency was upper middle tier. 15 Wh usable though so don't expect a lot. After looking at so many others this actually looks a bit better in retrospect. I also tested a single 18650 cell one, that was not worth it, that didn't make the channel but not to say there isn't a good one out there. I am also curious about a lot of the smaller power banks so many to pick from, I'll never catch up.

heard iniu was or had a "good" reputation, the fragile plastic case design isnt for me tho. would love to see some tests on the cuktech products & how they do against others in that price-range... from some weird translation they apparently offer "outstanding" performance (at least for their powerbank) like lowest voltage ripple (at least thats what they advertise too on their wall chargers), but can't confirm it myself. technically its zmi so they should be pretty decent?
This can keep an action camera powered for a long timelapse as one example. Also, some people only want to slow charge. Just playing advocate, I agree with you that I'd like to see more features.

Thats one of the reasons why I am planning to buy Nitecore's flagship battery pack next month, because I know that they use premium Japanese lithium cells in the powerbank, none of that Chinese lithium cell garbage that becomes bloated m80's waiting to ruin your day.

@@xgamer I haven't tested that many devices, but the average of everything I have tested so far is 68%, the minimum is 40% the maximum is 83%. I like to see 70+% as the mark of better than most +/- error.
Heya I bought a few baseus cables off your recommendation but I would like to know if they are an older series or specific to region. One of them is the 100W pudding series 2m cable with model number (P10355702111-00) and the other is a 240W cable with model number (CAWJ040101-2m-QY-US) Let me know if they are according to spec :)
I bought a solar power bank , it’s not a well-known brand, but I lied that it was small, and it had all the different cables attached to it, I really don’t believe the seller is going to work. They only have the C cable/cord.
Yeah, the large solar power banks most likely will take over a week to charge in full sun for a larger power bank, if it charges at all... But yeah, I need to make some videos on that.

its 2024 and still using outdated USB A which 50% of the time you cannot insert right first time. Not sure what's the hurry for EU USB C ruling then. I am starting to have USB C to USB C cables but cannot use all the ports unless i have the outdated adaptor.
Yeah, the EU ruling is interesting. I haven't heard anyone actually talk about the politics of it and what actually made that happen or who made the real decision.

Any of these 'slim and light' power banks are not armored in any way.
Nearly everything charges via PD these days. Why would anyone buy a 5V only power bank in 2024?
