- The Armada is Nissan's largest SUV, an d for 2021 there are some major updates. On the outside you will discover a new front fascia, headlights, and grill. On the inside there are some new finishes and and all new infotainment system. Under the hood is the tried and true 5.6L V8 that produces 400HP & mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. bought a brand new nissan pathfinder back in 2007 and then less than 50K mileage the timing belt system failed and i paid 5K for it...
Did you have a CVT Nissan? We had a TERRIBLE experience with a Rogue. But I like the Armada/Titan with port injection V8 and 7 speed. Very reliable

I’ve got the 2020 QX80….has much much more street presence than the Armada…just like the Escalade has it over the Suburban
As a nissan z owner, I can confirm the key chain is Noah's ark era.
The upside is that it really is comfortable in your pocket

I lease Infiniti’s and I’m thinking I’m going to go for one of these or the new Pathfinder next time around. Can’t see paying 30 grand more when Nissan is bringing so much luxury these days.

As someone who works for Nissan, minor correction Joe. As nicely appointed as it is, the SV is the base trim for Armada. SL right above and we all know where the Platinum sits
2 years ago, I will buy a 21' Nissan Armada.
Great exterior design and impressive interior and power but 14 mpgs with gas prices the way they are would make this a hard sell for me
Way more options than a Tahoe or expedition at 57k. That’s like almost a base model Tahoe. And that’s why I think this is a way better bang for your buck. Plus I’ll trust Nissan before modern day GM rn

It is crazy that the Armada has been updated already but the INFINITI QX80 still has not been updated. This Armada is so much better than the QX80 for about $10k-$20k less. Nissan has abandoned INFINITI. Their sales are down 50% from two years ago. They will probably go out of business by the end of the year.
I'll guess the Pathfinder is a fair bit smaller but I think folks could consider that one instead since it's all new with great reviews.

That ripple effect on the leather for the door panel is a head scratcher decision especially when the price of the SUV is at $57K.
At $57k, you getting cloth seats in every other SUV. It's called gathered leather look
Looks like water damage, not a fan. But these are a bargain for the price
I've driven both and the Armada is by far the better one. Ok the QX80 looks more luxurious from the outside but when you drive it you'll see how top heavy and awkward it feels and I felt it could roll over quite easily. The Armada was perfect and I actually prefer the cloth seats which are super comfy and very high standard. The Pathfinder with cloth seats is so comfortable a drive you'll never want to get out of it.

Wish it had all the additional offroad goodies that are available in the middle asia(Dubai) or rest of world. This is such an awesome alternative to the Land Cruiser!

I have a first generation. I would have liked to see them improve the mileage a little bit. It definitely gets the worst mileage in this segment even compared to the Tahoe. I think the Tahoe is really the only other competition I think the Expedition is too expensive but if you're trying to save money at the same price point as far as options this Armada is going to be cheaper than the Tahoe

There is a lot to digest and discuss with these two vehicles, both are identical underneath besides the Hydraulic air system in the Infiniti, the front and rear fascia are the different and wheels options. Other than that, they are same. Nissan is in bad financial shape and they are milking the Platform here with these two vehicles as well and the new Pathfinder and QX60. The QX80 has been in this design since 2011 with a few minor face lifts and minor updates. In 2016 Nissan changed to design of the Armada from the Patrol that both the Armada and QX80 are based. The 2021 armada got some interior updates that Infiniti is bring to the QX80. Topped out the Armada will be around 68K and the Infiniti will be around 88K. The 20K difference are really cosmetic from the Front and rear fascias, softer leather inside , better looking wheels on the QX80 and the hydraulic Air suspension on the QX80. If you need the power and room for 7/8 and don’t care about anything else, take the Nissan Armada, but if you want old outdated luxury that is reliable and can’t compete with other luxury makers, take the QX80. Also soon, there will not be many Infiniti dealerships in the USA as Nissan is thinking on selling infiniti vehicles thru Nissan dealership like Hyundai is doing to save money. They also said they will not make any new vehicles for at least two years when mostly all the engines will be electric.

This new Armada is nice and better than the current dated QX80 but for the price I would go with the 3 row mid siz brand new 2022 QX60 🔥. It is all new and the infotainment looks fanstatic.
I'm sure the 2022 QX80 will surpass this Armada though the latter would be a better deal.

I was waiting for this video came up this morning on you doing a review. Oh yes! This is better than the Infiniti seconds ago just reading on Nissan making changes with their new SUVS for 2022 they said adding new power train with the Rogue for '22 hope add automatic transmission as did with new beautiful Pathfinder. I love Nissan they are really hitting the right track. I love the major changes of Armada looks better than 2017 model year. I hope you be able do a review of 2022 Pathfinder fingers crossed but enjoy this review of the Armada a huge Nissan fan. Thank you Joe you and Lori stay cool being out in this crazy heat.

For 30k more you can get a sun roof in a Infiniti QX80

I have had a QX80 and a new Ford Expedition. The Expedition is Infinitely(pun intended) better than the QX80 or even this Armada.
They still need to do more upgrades. Backup camera, the grandma curtain on the doors, full Backups screen. Panoramic sunroof. Steering Wheel.

I think my Palisade beats the Armada. But not sure what the Platinum brings. Third row on the Palisade is bigger I think. Armada has more hp but my Palisade rises to any challenge and I will take the better mileage.

As an own of the first gen armada the new on is a good looking SUV I don’t know th wheel base and dimensions of the body but it look smaller and the room for the thrid row need to be bigger like the frost gen

Mixed feelings on this one - not a fan of the tire/wheel sizes. 60 series tires? That’s a lot of rubber making the 20 inch wheels look like 18’s. Wheel gap is a bit much too. Finally, the “wrinkled” leather on the doors? Ridiculous!

This suv gives better value for money than Lexus LX570, Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, Ford Expedition, Yukon, Chevy Tahoe and Infiniti QX80
